It's not easy being a woman and being by yourself but Erin the bartender made me feel welcome right away. My battery almost died and she went above and beyond by lending me her personal charger. I was grateful due to the fact that my phone was dying. She handled the bar with ease. Most people seemed to know each other and were very pleasant. I saw a couple pool tables to the side. Keno was playing but I'm not sure what else they offered. TV's were on playing sports and the enthusiast were really enjoying the game. I had already eaten so I can't tell you about the food but from what I saw it looked delicious If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stop in and hopefully it's Erin's shift.

Also ordered a mocktail of a basil lemonade. The drink was not too sweet and the basil added a tiny touch of herby savoryness which was a nice accent flavor. The full English breakfast was cooked well, good quality ingredients and each element was seasoned appropriately. I could only make a small dent in the dish before sending it back satisfied. The server was friendly, but I threw them off with my quirky behavior. Lead to a little slower service and multiple requests for some items. Nothing against the establishment, just something that happened during my visit. Still a strong recommendation for Main Street, and worth a trek to try.

It's nice and hot with a lot of shredded chicken. For my entree, I'm having the Brussels Sprout Salad made with shaved Brussels sprouts, spring mix, bacon, pomegranate drizzle, silvered almonds, shaved Parmesan and lemon vinaigrette dressing. Look at the height of this! This tastes great! I am also having a side of mushy peas. Mushy peas are a traditional British side dish of marrowfat peas that are cooked until soft and mashed into a mush. We grabbed seats at the bar, enjoyed our drinks, and tried two kinds of wings, both delicious. Even later in the evening, the place had a steady crowd and a great vibe. Following Strange Brew on Facebook is a great way to find out about all their different shows (bands, trivia, comedy, etc) and I don't know why we waited so long to get there! There are a few other parking garages located in downtown within walking distance including Main Street parking garage. There is also parking available in the lot at the marina, about a two minute walk from us on the road running parallel with our road.
