The best venue around that I go to with my family - The fries are amazing at Tap Room. Glad it was open and will be coming back here soon.

BTW, watching the talented swing dancers (clearly Knick regulars) was a treat in itself.

We stopped by for a quick snack of oysters and clams and a beer. We were very happy with our selections and choices available. When the weather is good they have an amazing outside patios section right by the river. We had a very enjoyable experience and will be back to try more!

The staff was extremely friendly, especially our outside bartender Gabrielle, who was fantastic, so personable and creative with her drinks. Honestly, the drinks and her service were the best part of our experience. We started with the lobster wraps, which were good, but the tarragon and dill were very strong and overpowered the lobster. Next we had the scallops for $38, which I didn't feel were worth the price about 12 small scallops with a bit of lettuce. They were cooked well, corn sauce was nice but nothing particularly special, and I would've ordered differently knowing what I was getting. We were still hungry, so we got the rigatoni, which was delicious. My only note was again the heavy use of fresh dill, which started to overpower an otherwise great dish. Overall, I would absolutely come back for the location, the great staff, and especially Gabrielle. I'd return for drinks and try different menu items next time.

We affectionately termed these "discount meat nights." The Cafe's $10 burger and fries on Monday nights is easily the best Discount Meat Night deal around in 2026. Don't get me wrong, I still love High Hope's $20 smash burger and beer on Wednesdays, but The Cafe's killer au poivre burger and fries for $10 is just a monster deal. The cost-taste ratio is off the charts. It was tough to get a good picture of the burger in the vibey bar room, but check out their Instagram for some drool worthy shots: @thecaferi

Took a while to arrive. The pork belly was exquisitely rendered with beautifully charred skin and tender meat. Lobster roll served warm was very good, the lobster was a little overcooked but still a highlight. Buttermilk Fried Chicken had super crisp skin and was executed and presented perfectly, great tasting together with the accompanied pickled vegetables and hot-honey butter. The best dish of the night. Sticky toffee pudding was as good as advertised: sticky, textured, with interesting mouthfeel offset by lightly whipped cream. Tequila based El Mariachi was tasty and balanced but not memorable.

On the second call a bartender answered and refused to provide the managers name, a way to contact the manager, or information about the bartender on shift. They accused me of blaming the bartender, which I clarified multiple times I did not. They hung up because they were too busy. I called on a week day around noon, so it is unlikely they were busy as on weekends there is barely anyone there. I had to make a post on Facebook to be acknowledged by the owner. When the post was made the official bar account blamed my friend and told her to take accountability and watch her drink. The post got attention of the local community and 5 other women have come forward saying they had a similar experience. My friend is traumatized by the way they chose to handle the situation. Don't drink here, if something happens they will blame you and refuse to assist in any manner. Food is disgusting and the whole place smells like a septic leak, you aren't missing much by avoiding this place. Keep yourself safe.
