Chocolate Chip Cookie
Megan Y.

My friends and I stopped by here during a break during work on a Friday. We were just at the intersection of Highway 49 and 140 down the road, so it was an easy walk. The space looks so cozy and the lady at the counter was so nice. I got an iced tea and shared a chocolate chip cookie with my friends. The tea was good, not too special. The cookie was so special & huge!!! I did hear that they got purchased by the Coffee Shop across the intersection, but I'm not sure how that will go.

Ordered an iced americano and it ended up being one of the best I've ever had!!! Friends got hazelnut latte and loved it! Also, get there early to get the fresh baked muffins.

A MUST stop if you are in Mariposa. Get the Banana bread and thank me later. It is the best banana bread and probably the best dessert I I have ever eaten. I wish I could have told Deb, the owner and baker. There are plenty of places to park and it is a quaint spot. Most places in the area are dog friendly and Pony Espresso has a patio area with a dog "hitching area." I will be going back my third time before I drive home to try the breakfast items including a frittata and breakfast burrito or sandwich. The coffee is good, with alternative milk options and endless flavors. I ordered half sweet and Kezzia was so sweet to make sure I enjoyed my drink. I unfortunately do not have a picture of the Banana bread because I ate it too quickly

Beautiful and chic coffee shop before heading to Yosemite! Coffee shop has many funny quotes posted around the store. Iced mocha latte was delicious and honorable mention for the Cinnamon Toast Crunch cake!

Visiting friends in Mariposa and this stop is a very expanded location for our coffee pilgrimage! And a welcome one at that! A cute, very clean, shop with lovely service. I ordered my typical almond milk latte. Then my husband asked if they had a signature latte and they mentioned brown sugar and cinnamon. Well, I had to change my order since that is my new fav flav from another shop on our pilgrimage. Hubby's drink came first, and after tasting it he asked me to taste--which he NEVER does. Said something didn't taste right. I tasted and said, yes, there is no sweetner/syrup. When my drink was ready I told the barista we didn't taste the flavors for brown sugar/cinnamon and she quickly flashed a smile, grabbed both drinks, and said "That's because I forgot that step!" lol! She added the syrups and we were on our way. Overall the drinks were good, but they have stiff competition from us because just the day before we visited afore mentioned shop in Martinez that used real brown sugar and cinnamon vs. syrups, hence the four stars-- which is still a great rating! We will be back on our next visits--gotta try the Boogie Beans!

Headed to Yosemite and needed coffee At 6:30 am. Found a unique cute shop that serves breakfast sandwiches, pastries, lattes and coffee. Reasonably priced and everything was warm out of the oven. Will stop again

Service: 3/5 Store Ambience: 5/5 Store cleanliness: 5/5 Location: 4/5 Coffee:2/5 Overall: 3/5 We were looking for a quick coffee stop on our way back from Yosemite. We found this cute place right off of the highway and decided to try it out. Of course good Yelp reviews contributed to our decision as well. The store is very clean. The staff who took our order didn't speak a word other than telling us how much our order cost. They have some pastries in stock as well as merchs and they even sell their own roasted coffee. So my expectations were slightly high when I walked it. Especially given the fact that I know and understand coffee. In terms of coffee, it was very bitter (close to dark roast where usually good quality arabica coffee is not roasted to that level) and the worst part was the milk which was overheated (the temp was way over 160F). And lastly the foam to milk ratio in my cappuccino was off. So if this place was in a populated area or let say in San Francisco it would have been very disappointing. But given the location and everything else I give it a 3/5.

Great place to stop! Delicious food and drinks. Friendly and witty staff. They have a great way of making those just passing through like they are a favorite local. Definitely stop to grab a drink and a little fun conversation

LOCATION It's hard to miss the avocado paint color from the road. But to assist in locating The Coffee Shop, it's next to the Mariposa Visitor's Center. There's a cute Free Library wedged in between both businesses. SERVICE The employee working was very welcoming and friendly. She informed us that cold brew was out for the day. I mean, how did she know? We ended up ordering iced lattes instead. INTERIOR Small and cozy coffee shop. The owner recently put up a world map for you to add a pin of where you're from. Fun and neat idea for a coffee shop, considering the town receives lots of tourism for Yosemite. ORDER * Iced White Chocolate Latte -- I ordered the latte with oat milk. It was okay. It has a good espresso flavor. I appreciated that the drink wasn't made overly sweet. The white chocolate is subtle. There are a ton of flavors for lattes, but all are syrup-based. * Iced Oat Latte -- My SO ordered this, and it did its job. Overall, The Coffee Shop has a wide selection of drinks, and its mission is to caffeinate you. Give this locally-owned shop a visit.

Cute breakfast spot with must-order cinnamon rolls!…read more I stopped by here with my husband on the way home from our Yosemite trip. We found parking across the street. Inside, you're greeted with the delicious smell of their cinnamon rolls and a bright, cozy atmosphere. Here's what we ordered: * Almond butter toast with bananas and chia seeds, $7.70 - I didn't try it, but my husband enjoyed it. He said it was filling and tasty. * Chia pudding, $9.60 - Loose texture but big serving. Not bad. Good if you're craving something lighter to eat for breakfast. * Smoothie, $7.70 - Tasted like it had real fruit, but tasted a little watered down. * The works cinnamon roll, $11.50 - So delicious! Fluffy, sweet, and served warm. * Acai bowl/smoothie bowl, $9.60 - Large bowl with a good amount of acai sorbet. I enjoyed it. * Black coffee, $2.90 - Perfect paired with the cinnamon roll. Was served hot but not too hot. * Orange almond pastry of the day, $3.90 - Not too sweet and had a nice orange touch, but wish it was more flaky like a scone. I found it a little dense. After tax and tip, we paid a total of $63.53. Although there were some parts of the food we ordered that we didn't enjoy, overall we did enjoy our meal. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Seating was comfortable and there was a nice clean bathroom in the back. Looking at the local art for sale was fun too. I would give a rating of 4.5 but rounded up to 5 stars. Highly recommend checking them out if you're in the area! Get the cinnamon roll!

CinnamonRoll Bakery Café, Mariposa: 2026 Apr 1 (4.25 of 5)…read more My appointment in Mariposa ended early enough for me to check out several of the eateries in Mariposa. I decided to visit CinnamonRoll Bakery Café on 5th Street. This place was easy to find - on a side street right off the main stretch. Parking: Parking close to the eatery was a bear. I had to drive down the slope and up again, and finally found parking on the main street. Parking is free so that's a plus. (3.75 of 5) Storefront: The storefront speaks for itself - Cinnamon Rolls. It shows you what their specialty is. One table with a couple of chairs was placed right before you enter the shop. I thought that was cute. (4 of 5) Interior: Inside is open and clean. There are lots of artwork and trinkets to check out while you're waiting for your food. A tiny stage-like platform stood in one corner. I'm guessing they have life music on certain days. There is also a stairway that leads to upstairs seating but I did not check that out. (4 of 5) Service: I find the service encompasses a customer's experience - the greeting was warm and friendly. Placing my order was easy. Fyi, you get a discount for paying in cash. (5 of 5) Food: My order of two cinnamon rolls looked appetizing. When I got home - about 45-minutes later, the rolls were still intact. The spiral shape rolls maintained its shape. Both the rolls are pillowy, soft, and buttery in texture, and not overly sweet. Personally, I prefer the roll topped with nuts but without the glaze. The nuts tasted fresh and crunchy. Overall, these rolls were a 4.5 of 5. I was taking some snapshots outside when one of the staff walked out. I asked if I could take an image of him outside the store for social media. He said I could. His name is Burke (sic).

Savanna (sic) greeted me and took my orders: small latte & ricotta + egg toast. My Ricotta + egg toast was delicious and the presentation was nicely done. The ingredients looked simple and the herbs tasted fresh and clean. The dish was perfectly seasoned. I tasted a little 'heat' at the back of my throat, but that's something I can handle. I even enjoyed the green sauce over the top. LOL! My order of latte was smooth and creamy. No sugar needed here. The creamy milk did its job. Savanna made my coffee after taking the order, and I complimented her on the delicious coffee. Would I go back? You betcha! And I'll bring my friends. This same lady put her hoodie on and left and ended up right in front of us in Amanda's line checking out. These two conversed then we walked up. We said hello, no response. She kept her head down the entire time and refused to make eye contact or acknowledge us. That's fine. We paid for our items, but looked back and an older non brown lady walked up and she was greeted and treated with decency.
