I know the parts are aftermarket and probably not the same quality as true OEM. But, if you are replacing parts on a phone, why pay top dollar? At that point, it makes sense to just get a new one. I certainly don't like paying for repairs to my devices. But, if you need it, this is the place. Since the staff seem to be vested in the business, they really care. Definitely better than the mall kiosks and other repair shops. Only unusual thing is their storefront is in an office complex down a long interior hallway. The last time I used their services was…read morein 2022 after I had been being cyber bullied and my computer and WiFi hacked for nearly a year while I was renting a senior apartment from Knoxville Community Development Corporation (KCDC) in Knoxville. I already knew KCDC was involved. They have a reputation for going to extremes to target and retaliate against residents, and I had filed HUD complaints against them. When I brought my computer into Computer Depot, the manager/owner looked at me with eyes as big as saucers. I felt intuitively that something was not right. I gave them my computer and asked them to wipe the hard drive and reload my programs to get rid of the malware. When I came back to pick up my computer, I found that they had disabled my Secure Boot and installed a program that allowed them to come and go from my computer system, but also left an open door for the hackers. That was like a big clue that KCDC had hired them as "black hats" to facilitate their cyber harassment and surveillance, which included turning my apartment neighbors against me and encouraging them to harass and surveil me. Two attorneys who reviewed my screen shot evidence warned me that KCDC might be setting me up for a criminal indictment. I will never use Computer Depot again.

I brought in a Samsung s4 cell phone in about a week ago for repair, not expecting a positive…read moreoutcome as three technicians around Knoxville had already viewed the phone and diagnosed a complete motherboard failure and no possibility of repairing the phone. The little shop had three customers ahead of me, so I waited. When I met with the technition, I described the phone's behavior and stated that if the repair were a lost cause, I was not interested in paying a $50 fee to confirm that the phone was in fact broken. He assured me that if he could not fix it, I would not be charged. There was a cue of laptops to repair ahead of mine, so he stated that it might take a while to get to mine- first come first serve. I left the phone with him. I couple hours later i got a call that the phone was fixed. I picked up the phone, and while paying for the repair I asked how this might have been avoided. He sold me an SD card, and guided my adjustment default saving to the card instead of the phone's hard drive. While I can never be guarantees that no failures will occur, at least now I have the photos and contacts saved to SD and easily removable. I thought this was excellent service and this is where i will return in the future.
