I am very pleased with the service I received. My old Dell business computer wouldn't wake up on a Thursday, and the following week I needed to do payroll for my small company. I chose Computer Depot because one of their two locations was close. I called and had to leave a message. That wasn't encouraging, but my call was returned very quickly. I dropped it off. Friday morning I received a call and analysis. I chose to replaced the unit, and explained my concern about time. I wondered how long it would take for the new computer to be ready. I dreaded the thought of having to install software or activate it on my new computer. Tuesday afternoon, Shah called me to let me know the new computer was ready. I arrived first thing Wednesday. Shah started my new computer and to my amazement, everything worked just as it had on the old computer. My experience with Computer Depot couldn't have been better. read more

WARNING: DO NOT USE FOR DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES OF ANY KIND!! I am a college student and I use(d) my computer for 6-12 hours on some days, let's just say it is essential to my studying and I also use it for gaming and streaming video. My computer was purchased 2-3 years ago from an online prebuilt computer store with a large reputation. Sometimes on these prebuilt units, things like fans and cooling can be kind of cheap as they save cost and spend more of the budget on big name processors. This means that in my unit, my CPU pump and therefore my whole water-cooling system failed about 6 months after I bought the PC. I brought it in to the Computer Depot fast, educated service to ensure my basically new PC continued to serve me well for years to come. I asked Zack to investigate everything and let me know what he thought was causing the clicking noise and check my computer for signs of heat damage. I also let him know I wanted to pay for a new layer of thermal paste if there were any signs of early wear on the CPU. Basically, I wanted him to make sure my computer was not damaged and make sure it was safe for the future. I left my PC with Zack. Zack can be described with five words: Slow, Arrogant, Condescending, Rude, and Useless. He kept my computer for 4-6 weeks and I had to buy a laptop to continue my studies on while my main desktop was getting work done. Every time I would call, it would take hours to get through and he would tell me it was running tests and he can't get it to replicate any of the issues I saw every time I used it at home. Basically he was saying my PC was great. Finally, he replaces the pump, but he doesn't do the thermal paste and I do not believe he even investigated anything for heat damage, though at the time he said he had. I bring the PC home, and the new pump is great. Now I realize all Zack has sold is a false sense of security, as the crashes that had once accompanied the CPU pump clicks are still occurring. My PC still crashes after 10-20 minutes of doing anything, and as time goes on the issues gets worse and worse. I have spent dozens of hours if not hundreds trying software side solutions. Eventually, the pump they had installed will fail as well due to him having the pump higher than the radiator, probably causing further damage. I have run memtest86 and received errors on 2045/2059 tests, this is a RAM/CPU tool where 1 failure is severe enough to warrant replacing parts. I have installed newer, larger CPU coolers that Zack said wouldn't work on my unit. I have even moved to Windows 11 in desperate hopes to fix this issue. At this point, it is either my CPU or RAM and I definitely asked him to look at those when the PC was younger and make sure they were healthy. The point is, I had a 6-month-old computer that I took to the Computer Depot, and I was even able to point them in the right direction and asked them to protect me from this exact kind of issue. All they did is waste 6 weeks of my times, show me an incredible amount of rudeness, and sell me a false sense of security. Unless you know exactly what is going on and what your computer needs- do not use the Computer Depot. I did not have money or time to troubleshoot this issue endlessly, but now I have been forced to spend hundreds of dollars and dozens of hours due to Zack's inability to diagnose computer issues. I went there today, after an update on my computer put my computer into hibernation and it wouldn't restart. It turned out that it just needed time, because when I got to Computer Depot, it worked right away. However, I wanted to write a review due to the very professional service I had received and the very helpful employee. I had called first and when I got there, he was able to take a look right away. It was vital to have my computer, as I'm working on a big research project due tomorrow. When it was found that things were fine and there wouldn't be a charge since it worked upon turning it on this time, he still took a few moments to help me with other minor questions I had. A friend referred me to this place when my laptop started acting up. I will never go anywhere else. I took it in on a Thursday morning and was called that afternoon advising it was ready and no charge. WHAT??? There were issues with the hard drive which were fixed, and the super nice guy Ryan advised that is part of diagnostics which is no charge. I couldn't believe it. Working like a charm. Computer depot has always been friendly and prompt with their replies. Ryan, who I think is the owner or a partial owner, is knowledgeable and patient. He is happy to explain the problems in depth and offer solutions. He did not once try to scam me or jack up prices to make a profit. He operates the business with integrity and I would trust him if he tells me that a computer/laptop/what-have-you is worth spending the money and fixing. I left my computer at the Powell store for a new motherboard. It was over $300.00 and I explained clearly that I wanted all my programs and files back on my computer when I got it back. When I got it back a week and a half later, I noticed an entire word processing program missing. I called the store and was told by employee #1 that they didn't restore all files and programs since this was free open office from the net. He said all my files were somewhere in my documents and they were. There were tons of them. That was part of what I thought the huge bill was for was to restore the computer, programs, and files to the previous working order. He said I had to do it. I hung up. I called back and another guy was a bit more helpful but when he said bring it in and if they had time, they would look at it, I was done! Three hundred bucks and that is what you can expect. Finally, a Scott did call and say he was sorry for the attitudes and offered to help remotely, but, by then I had called another computer expert who came over and it took him about 10 minutes to put in working order. That is the order I had paid $318.00 for and didn't get. After being one of The Computer Depots most loyal customers for years, I won't be going back. read more
