Computer Depot used to be my go-to for computer problems. The last time I used their services was…read morein 2022 after I had been being cyber bullied and my computer and WiFi hacked for nearly a year while I was renting a senior apartment from Knoxville Community Development Corporation (KCDC) in Knoxville. I already knew KCDC was involved. They have a reputation for going to extremes to target and retaliate against residents, and I had filed HUD complaints against them. When I brought my computer into Computer Depot, the manager/owner looked at me with eyes as big as saucers. I felt intuitively that something was not right. I gave them my computer and asked them to wipe the hard drive and reload my programs to get rid of the malware. When I came back to pick up my computer, I found that they had disabled my Secure Boot and installed a program that allowed them to come and go from my computer system, but also left an open door for the hackers. That was like a big clue that KCDC had hired them as "black hats" to facilitate their cyber harassment and surveillance, which included turning my apartment neighbors against me and encouraging them to harass and surveil me. Two attorneys who reviewed my screen shot evidence warned me that KCDC might be setting me up for a criminal indictment. I will never use Computer Depot again.

I took my phone back in and they tried with another screen and still the same result Mindy I had only gone in and asked for a screen replacement in my phone was working fine other than that all of a sudden after they take my screen off and put an aftermarket one on my phone no longer works properly and then I requested that they leave the screen that they originally compromised my phone with on so I could take it to another store so they could fix the screen and now the power issue. Instead of leaving the screen they messed up with and giving me a refund. they insisted that there's no way they're techs anything Wrong when very clearly my phone wasn't functioning as they did the screen replacement. All they did was money back and shoot me out the door they did nothing wrong which just doesn't add up. I do not recommend coming here even while I was multiple people had issues with their products. I've never taken any computer in for service, so I cannot comment on the price I paid to get rid of the malware as I have nothing to compare it too. It was a very cheap unit, probably $59 at a box store. It came used and without ink, so we had to buy the cartridges. The printer didn't work they directed us to other cartridges, we bought those the printer still did not work. Now we are in $79 for an initial fee and over $100 in ink cartridges. They said they would come to our house, no more than two blocks from their office. They cancelled at the last minute due to a forecast of rain??? They rescheduled, didn't show. They rescheduled again and didn't show. Now they no longer respond to email inquiries. I am planning, if no response to this complaint, to file one with the Better Business Bureau.
