He never asked to see it, and took out a paper to look something up then told me they'd have to send it out and it would cost $450. I was very discouraged and decided to come by uBrakiFix as a last resort hoping they could do something. The young man at the counter took one look at my iPad, and said he knew exactly what was wrong, and went behind a wall to fix it. Came back and it was good to go! Turns out a piece of a charger had come off in the port and it just needed to be cleaned out. I was so grateful I was like "take my money!!!" Lol. Anyhow, I will not be going back to Best Buy. I grabbed information on their coverage plan. I will also be bringing by another iPad that won't turn on anymore that Best Buy said they couldn't do anything with either. ;0) I'll also be bringing buy my laptop. The little shop had three customers ahead of me, so I waited. When I met with the technition, I described the phone's behavior and stated that if the repair were a lost cause, I was not interested in paying a $50 fee to confirm that the phone was in fact broken. He assured me that if he could not fix it, I would not be charged. There was a cue of laptops to repair ahead of mine, so he stated that it might take a while to get to mine- first come first serve. I left the phone with him. I couple hours later i got a call that the phone was fixed. I picked up the phone, and while paying for the repair I asked how this might have been avoided. He sold me an SD card, and guided my adjustment default saving to the card instead of the phone's hard drive. While I can never be guarantees that no failures will occur, at least now I have the photos and contacts saved to SD and easily removable. I thought this was excellent service and this is where i will return in the future.

My key fob for my Toyota Tundra indicated a low battery, so I searched online and found the battery listed for about five dollars. While I have nothing against the employees--they are always nice and provide good service when I need batteries that I can't find elsewhere--it's worth noting that there are likely cheaper options available elsewhere.

You will always get professional, trustworthy service when you take your phone/tablet/computer to him to repair. I recently had an old laptop hard drive repaired as well as leaving a few tablets. He was honest with me about the options to repair the tablets - even telling me that he was able to fix one, but that purchasing a replacement would only be $10-$20 more. Most places would take your money and not even tell you. When I got the laptop home I had a conflict with the type of Comcast internet I have at home and AER not only spent time troubleshooting with me over the phone but also included his world class IT department - both of whom tried for a good amount of time to help me connect to wi-fi at my home. In the end it was a problem with the type of tri band wi-fi conflicting with my dual-band wireless adapter. Which was indeed what AER and his amazing IT department found was the issue. I highly recommend you give Athens Electronics Repair a call for ALL your repair needs, you will be in good hands and will not be disappointed!!
