I know the parts are aftermarket and probably not the same quality as true OEM. But, if you are replacing parts on a phone, why pay top dollar? At that point, it makes sense to just get a new one. I certainly don't like paying for repairs to my devices. But, if you need it, this is the place. Since the staff seem to be vested in the business, they really care. Definitely better than the mall kiosks and other repair shops. Only unusual thing is their storefront is in an office complex down a long interior hallway. Long pilgrimage short, she uses an iPhone4 to swipe credit cards for her business. The swiper is not like others that plug into any device. It is fit to a specific device (an iPhone 4 in this case). As we are forever tied together in matrimonial bliss, my Chi got tangled up in this Four Alarm Conundrum. Herein lies the rub ... the old iPhone is used via WiFi. It's technically no longer a phone. It is used merely to submit credit card & debit card transactions. So, now we have a device that is totally worthless but it has to be replaced with an iPhone 4. And no stinkin way am I payin full retail for a glorified iPod Touch. Of course the device dying and Mrs R. not being able to run charges is all my stinkin' fault! I mean, NATURALLY!! As a side note, I was very impressed with something that happened when I was in the store waiting for my device to charge. A man came in wanting to sell his smart tablet. He had pulled up to the store with 2 other people in a dirty ass $300 jalopy that was on its last leg. It was quite apparent that they were all 3 hard up for cash. Ryan treated this man with the respect he was due. He was extremely polite and informed the man that his particular tablet was not in high demand (thus not worth a whole lot wholesale). They called me 3 times total. Here's another very concerning problem. He told me that my laptop needed to be sent to Dell, and that entire fiasco was part of what took so long. I agreed, and as my suspicions grew as to what the heck was going on, ended up calling Dell myself because I just wanted my laptop back and I did not trust what this guy was telling me anymore. And as it turned out, Dell did not have my laptop. I asked this guy about it, and he told me (paraphrasing) that he didn't actually send it to Dell, but some guy qualified to work on Dell products who does this stuff on the side. To keep what could be a much longer review short, this was entirely unprofessional, shady, and dishonest. Computer Depot used to be my go-to for computer problems. The last time I used their services was…read morein 2022 after I had been being cyber bullied and my computer and WiFi hacked for nearly a year while I was renting a senior apartment from Knoxville Community Development Corporation (KCDC) in Knoxville. I already knew KCDC was involved. They have a reputation for going to extremes to target and retaliate against residents, and I had filed HUD complaints against them. When I brought my computer into Computer Depot, the manager/owner looked at me with eyes as big as saucers. I felt intuitively that something was not right. I gave them my computer and asked them to wipe the hard drive and reload my programs to get rid of the malware. When I came back to pick up my computer, I found that they had disabled my Secure Boot and installed a program that allowed them to come and go from my computer system, but also left an open door for the hackers. That was like a big clue that KCDC had hired them as "black hats" to facilitate their cyber harassment and surveillance, which included turning my apartment neighbors against me and encouraging them to harass and surveil me. Two attorneys who reviewed my screen shot evidence warned me that KCDC might be setting me up for a criminal indictment. I will never use Computer Depot again.

I went to their shop in need of help with my gaming computer…read more Previously I went to visit 3 other tech repair stores, and no one could seem to figure out why my PC was not booting. Tech Nav was my last resort, and they did not disappoint! As soon as I walked into their store I was greeted and welcomed. They were very friendly and professional. After explaining the issue I had been having with my computer, they asked if they could plug it up at one of their workstations and give it a quick diagnosis to see exactly what was happening. I was more than happy to let them and quite pleased because honestly, I expected to leave it with them for a few days before hearing back after seeing how busy they were! The technician spent some time trying different troubleshooting methods and using different tools to figure out the issue while at the same time explaining step by step exactly what he was doing and what he was looking for, which I appreciated very much. After about 15 minutes he was able to pinpoint the issue and figured out it was my processor! He had explained that usually CPU failure isn't super common, but it happens. He mentioned that he luckily had a good/working CPU on hand that would fit the socket on my motherboard so we could test and 100% verify that was the issue. I agreed and he took apart my cooler and pulled out my CPU and replaced it with the one he was testing with, then after putting it back together, hit the power button and BOOM! My PC immediately booted up like normal! I was absolutely ecstatic and relieved I was able to finally get some answers as to why my PC wasn't working! They also took the time to offer and inform me about multiple options on where to go from there. We could keep the one he replaced in the computer, which they did mention it was used, or they could order me a brand-new processor from one of their vendors. I went for ordering a new one, I even went with an upgrade! About 3 days later I received a call letting me know the part had arrived and my computer was ready for pick up! Overall, I could not be happier with the service from Tech Nav! They never charged me for any of the time they took diagnosing it either! If I could give more than a 5-star rating I absolutely would! I highly recommend Tech Nav, great service, friendly staff, knowledgeable, and great pricing!!!

After visiting the shop a couple times to check on the progress, they finally started working on it. Finally it was delivered back to my home. They failed to bring the dongle to hook up the wireless keyboard, so there was a delay in the setup. When we got the computer, Windows 11 had been installed, but no product key was supplied. I had to obtain it myself which was an added expense of $78. They were supposed to install an anti-virus software, but never did and never returned my call concerning that. The unit won't wake up from sleep mode from either the keyboard or mouse, although the settings in the computer says it should. They never returned my call regarding that issue either. I do not recommend this servicer to anyone.
