We eat at the POM quite often, the food is good. We are particularly fond of their Thursday Southern BBQ, so much food for $20! Best of all, there are lots of parking as it is in the casino. read more

Live in town. Frequent the rock yard and visit the Pom often enough. Usually have the meat loaf dinner and is probably the best in the valley. Very generous portions. BBQ Thursday is also very good. read more

I don't gamble so their is really no reason for me to be anywhere near the casino, except for bowling. I got married recently and was having a small wedding dinner with just the family and a couple of close friends. About a party of 25 ish. I picked this restaurant out of a bunch in the valley because of the decor, the menu, and the price. We didn't come on a special night so I'm not sure what those are like. The menu is a bit all over the place with some asian fusion dishes. My party got some different appetizers but I didn't try them so I'm not sure what they tasted like, but they seemed to enjoy them. My husband and my parents ate the Calamari appetizer which was delicious. Another reviewer didn't like it at all, but I am surprised it was really good. It wasn't dry and it wasn't topped with mayo( thank god) For dinner I had the most amazing deliciously tasty thing I have ever had I think in Indio. I had the Osso Bucco. Beautiful. It just fell off the bone and was served with horseradish potatoes. My mother didn't care for the potatoes but I love wasabi and horseradish so I say bring it on. I will come back just for that plate. My husband had a shrimp plate with rice, I'm not sure what it's called but it didn't seem as amazing or as tasty or as extravagant as my plate was. The staff is another story. My party came in different groups. I had arrived earlier and people were asking for my party on the second floor(which is the entrance from the casino, by which you take the stairs down) and some chick said "They aren't here yet" HELLO?! They made my party wait 15 minutes before I got fed up and looked to see if they were lost in the casino or something. Needless to say I got a bit upset. Good thing the food was good. Our servers and waitresses were excellent though, good thing too. They have a bar but I don't drink so I have no idea about that. Sorry. Sorry but the food at POM is not good compared to the price you pay! My husband and I had the BBQ special on our first experience there...it was not good (cold slaw was old, potato salad was from a store bought container and there was very little meat on the plate! We walked away still hungry! We agreed to give POM another try so we went for the Italian Dinner. Yuk...it was tasteless, very little meat and not good! We vowed we would not return! Both meals had NO flavor, were overcooked and had very little meat! Save your money and order something else or go elsewhere. POM definitely needs to get a NEW Chef and a NEW menu! We won't be back until there are major changes! read more

All around...this place was pretty bad. Food...no flavor.....service...horrible! I NEVER add table salt to my food, and HAD to here. I had the meatloaf. I don't think they believe in seasonings here. The meat, mashed potatoes and gravy had absolutely no flavor! Lacked salt big time!!! The cut pieces of tomato probably had the most flavor, which isn't saying much! My husband had the fried chicken, and said it was probably some of the worst he's ever had. I sampled his fries, and once again...no flavor. To top it all off, the service was terrible. Our server (older Hispanic man) paid no attention to us. He acted like he couldn't be bothered by us. Didn't seem like he wanted to acknowledge us, or care about our dining experience at all. He took FOREVER to take our order, quickly told us the special without telling us the price, and came back to check on our food when we were pretty much done. I honestly felt like leaving no tip, but my husband was very nice and left him one. We would have said something about our food, had he come back to check on us in a timely manner, but he didn't and we were really hungry. We're locals and will probably try The Bistro next time we come to this casino instead of coming back to Pom. It was very VERY disappointing! read more

Do you feel like your lucky? Love rolling the dice? Since this restaurant is in a casino my boyfriend always says that whenever we come here. Sometimes we get excellent service, and great food. Sometimes we get horrible service and great food. Sometimes we get horrible service and horrible food. So thats what I mean.. you just never know. I have to preface this by saying since moving to the desert, I have been here about 20 times in the last three years, and I'm hoping management reads this review. Why do we we still go here after giving it two stars, you might ask? Well..for starters it's in the casino and open late nights and sometimes we get off work late and its hard to find a good restaurant and a place to have fun on the weekends, after 8 pm in the summer, especially, We love the rock yard and love to try to make our dinner money back in the casino.. The first thing I always do when asking for a table, is not to get seated in the older gentleman's section with the glasses. He's always seems to be working especially on the weekends. It;s funny,, because nobody asks why we don't want his section, they just kind of know why. I'll tell you why: About a year or two ago, we were seated in his section for lunch. We ordered appetizers, which came. Then our lunch was supposed to come, I say supposed to, because every table around us got seated later than us, got their food, and left. We couldn't even find our waiter to ask, it's like he just forgot about working the rest of his shift. We eventually found the busboy who told our waiter, who forgot to obviously put in our lunch order ( he never admitted it). After about an hour and some, our waiter finally delivered our lunch. I was obviously pissed and told him how long it took. He never apologized, never said anything else. Never called a manager over nothing. So thats why I never want him to wait on us again! And if you want any kind of service here you should too:) Our latest visit was on Saturday night. There was about a 25 minute wait so we sat at the bar downstairs. It took the bartender about 15 minutes to even notice we were there, he was busy making drinks for the servers and attending to the other patrons at the bar. When he finally came up to us, I asked for a drink menu. He looked at one , and gave me the menu. It was for a dessert drink menu! About 5 minutes later he came back and I told him about the mistaken menu, and said forget (about the menu) because god knows when he would come back for our order. We ordered a glass of wine and a sangria. He was still making drinks for others, and finally prepared ours. When we got them our table was ready . So 25 minutes at the bar we finally got our drinks and paid the tab. Our waitress finally appeared about 10 minutes after we were sat. I have to say the managers there we really helpful , one guy was serving and busing tables in a tie. The other was seating. This was refreshing because I very have rarely ever seen managers interacting with guests. In fact, I can't remember seeing a manager on the floor before. This is the first time a manager has stopped by our table to check on us. The server was friendly but hardly ever around. We ordered the mussels for an appetizer, which are always usually pretty great and a good deal. They were. Other than that both our main meals we severely sub par. I ordered the seafood gazpacho, which was salty and very little seafood in it. My boyfriend ordered the Fruite de Mar Cappelinni. It was a huge plate of bland noodles with about three small shrimp, a scallop and three mussels, and a piece of fish. He ate the little seafood there and left a huge plate of dry noodles . I find when we get bad food, mine is way oversalted (like the gazpacho). I have returned things beforehere because of this reason, and I hardly ever return anything ever. Anyway, after a bit we got our bill and left. It took a while to get it, and my boyfriend asked for it to the waitress saying we wanted out bill so we could go gamble . She said "Oh god" , jokingly. I guess we crapped out this time..:( So after coming here all these times, I suggest that you're not in a hurry and don't expect great service. The food can be quite good, and at a good value.but that's a crap shoot as well...Maybe you'll be more lucky in the casino..We were:) We'll be back again..maybe not for a while..but maybe the next time we'll roll some seven's..or eleven's.. read more

Dined the other night & had the BBQ family style feast with friends. 4 people & walked out of there stuffed. The POM really had GREAT service that evening. You start with large bowl of salad, then come main courses. Mac& cheese(really good), ribs tasty(could have used a bit more smoke), but fell off the bone.Cornbread (delicious), Brisket served a bit different, was served with heavy garlic in light sauce(not much BBQ smoke), But tasted great with BBQ sauce served on side. Included dessert, Apple pie Alamode(vanilla ice cream). A good value on thursday nights with generous portions! Keep up the Great work!! read more

My Dad and I came in for dinner the night of the Paula Abdul concert and were completely amazed by the service we received . Everything was fabulous..from the hosts, to the server, management and food. Zyrah the hosts sat us right away..as we were so grateful because they had a full house and we had previously stopped into the other restaurants in the casino to try and get a table and weren't able to. I'm so glad we found POM (thank you Zyrah)! Our server Mariah was so professional and knowledgeable about the menu and restaurant and guided us through the menu answering all of our questions. She gave us some lovely suggestions as well. Everything came out perfectly and we couldn't have asked for a better waitress. She was the sweetest and had a great sense of humor as well. While we were eating the manager Jessica came to check up on us. She was so caring and I could immediately tell that she's a big reason why her team is so on point. Good service starts with good management. Bravo Jessica! She wanted to buy my father and I a desert, as she could tell we were celebrating a special night with the Paula show (one of my favorites artists from the 80s/90s). They are ok quality of beef average but fatty . Baked potatoes really small compared to in the past. Prime rib fatty too. Therefore less food you actually eat. I had non bone in rib eye and hubby had fatty prime rib not really acceptable for prices being paid read more

The food was delicious ( I had the BBQ special). It was just tooooooo much food. I had enough for 2 of us to have lunch on the leftovers the next day! The price for all that food was very affordable. The waitress was great, very friendly and prompt. The place super clean and spacious. Would eat there again if I found myself in the area. We had a group of 6 for an early dinner at POM before a concert at the resort. The restaurant space and service were very good, and while the presentation of the food was OK, the taste was rather bland and underwhelming. I had a gazpacho soup which I did not like at all and the whitefish special. I tried my wife's pasta which was also not very tasty. None of my dining companions mentioned enjoying their meal, which I took as a polite signal that their food was mediocre as well. At least the prices were very reasonable given the menu selections, so while the execution fell short, I didn't feel quite ripped off. I'll pass on any of the dining options at the resort the next time. read more

Great dinner tonight at Pom. Service was excellent. I ordered the prime rib for $23 and it was very nice cut of meat. I also ordered a cup of tortilla soup and it was really good, with lots of chicken. They served bottled water and it was very refreshing. My husband had a bowl of the baked potato soup and it was very good too. He ordered the apple pie for desert and it was loaded with lots of caramel and cinnamon. The order was so big, we brought some of it home for later, along with 2/3's of my prime rib. read more

BBQ night , Reservation @ 7pm . Got there at 6:55 pm seated quickly. Waiter got our drinks quickly. We were getting the BBQ dinner Family style. Up first the chop salad pretty good . done with salad at 7:20 . Waited 45 min for the main course . Food was barely warm , potato's were undercooked , chicken , ribs , brisket all were tender but kind of bland. Even after waiting 45min and being very hungry . Then it took about 20 min to get desert which was not as advertised . Paid cash took 20 min to get change . I finally had to get up and see what the problem was . So what should have been about a 1hr dinner took 2hr 8 min. way to long especially if you had something planned after dinner. Also not all the tables were full. read more

This was my second not so great experience at POM Restaurant. We used to have great experiences a few years ago but the service AND the food is nowhere near as good as it used to be. My family and I had a bad experience there last year but I thought I would give them a 2nd try because maybe that was just a bad day last year. Well, I was sorry I did. My partner and I went there for a dinner before a concert. We had reservations for 5:45 and we got there 30 minutes early and asked if we could be seated, the hostess said no so we said OK, that we would wait. A couple came up right behind us and said they didn't have a reservation and the hostess told them she could seat them in the bar area. We then came back 20 minutes later closer to our reservation time and they sat us. We walk to find the seated right next to us, enjoying dinner already was the couple who had come in right behind us 20 minutes prior that did not have reservation. My partner ordered prime rib and asked for it to be cooked at medium. When it came, it was clearly over-cooked. She told the waiter that she thought it was too well done and he told her no, that she should cut into it and it would be fine and walked away. It was overcooked, the waiter didn't bother to come back to check and we could not get his attention. Because we had to be at the concert and it wasn't too terrible, she ate it. At the end of our meal the waiter asked us how the meals were. My partner tells him that her meal was indeed over cooked. He said nothing and walked away. A few minutes later the manager comes and tells us that because my partner ate the dinner that there was nothing the restaurant could do for us. We told her, we were not asking for a discount or anything, we were just responding to the question. I thought that was rude. If she wasn't going to apologize or offer anything then why bother coming over to say anything at all. In addition, my steak and meal was average. read more

I spent four meals at the POM Restaurant while staying at the Fantasy Springs Casino Resort. The POM BBQ was terrific. The smokey beef brisket and the bbq pork ribs are a mouthwatering and satisfying delights. I would also recommend the calamari salad for lunch. My family and I love this restaurant. read more

I recently dined at this restaurant for lunch. My daughter and I were greeted promptly & professionally by the Maître D & he made us feel extremely welcome. the wait staff were very professional and attentive. The establishment was clean and bright. THE FOOD IS A WHOLE DIFFERENT MATTER! The waitress mentioned that the special of the day was Prime Rib Sandwich. I love Prime Rib and have had many wonderful Prime Rib Sandwiches so that is what we decided to order. OMG, that was the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted! The meat had a really weird, pallid grey color and looked older than anything I've ever kept in my refrigerator. I could not believe that the sandwich could possibly taste as bad as it looked so I ventured to taste it. It was hideous! There was a faint "fishy" taste which is a "ringer" for spoiled meat! My daughters sandwich was exactly the same. We ate some of the fries because we were starving. They were passable but nothing exceptional. When the waiter came to clear the table and we had not eaten but a bite of each sandwich he asked if we wanted a "to go box" we told him how horrid the sandwiches were. He consulted with the management. The manager came over and apologized. He removed the cost of one of the sandwiches but could not credit us with the cost of both of them because we had eaten some of the fries. The cook (I say that because he certainly can not be considered a Chef) should have never, ever served such slop! If he was any type of professional he would certainly take more pride in his product and the reputation of his restaurant! all in all, we walked away $22.00 poorer and still hungry! I, of course, have already told all of my friends to never go anywhere that place! After this experience, I'm hesitant to try any of the other restaurants at the Fantasy Springs Resort when we return for our scheduled concert!! read more

we were shocked at how good the food was and how reasonable the prices were! after perusing yelp reviews and menu's, we settled on POM. we had no idea it was a restaurant in a casino (i would have passed if i had known that so i'm glad i didn't). we sat at the bar and the bartender was friendly and prompt. i ordered a grey goose & soda, my brother a beer. we split the mozzarella lollipops, the spinach salad and a BLT. the bartender noticed the second our glasses were empty so we ordered a second round of drinks. everything we ordered was excellent (i'm still trying to figure out how to recreate their salad dressing) and our bill was so low we had to double check it. we were charged for everything we ordered, it's just very high quality food at a reasonable price. we will return every year when we come down for the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. read more
