PLEASE WATCH THIS VIDEO. Mr. Ramirez cannot be trusted. I paid him $6K and this is what my stairs look like! Not only are the bricks scratched, he used inferior materials. Given the fact that Mr. Ramirez lacks integrity, I requested a full refund. Mr. Ramirez has refused to respond to my calls and texts. Now, I will have to take him to DC Small Claims Court to get my money back. Honestly, I don't think Mr. Ramirez respects Black women. While he was working on my stairs, I brought him, his colleague, and his mother AND father hearty lunches--for several days. And this is how I am treated. I will receive JUSTICE in Court. Shameful!

We had some drainage/waterproofing issues that needed addressed, and when I found out the scope of their skills, we also hired them for a laundry list of things I had on my wish list since moving in a few years ago. These folks did it all for us! For starters, they repaired a brick wall in our front yard, installed a new sump pump drain pipe and exit, re-worked some existing exterior waterproofing that had been done sloppily in the past, and added a new concrete pad and drain by our back door. They even helped us track down an underground gutter leak and replaced the broken pipe. The showpiece job, however, is the stunning stone retaining wall, that they meticulously built by hand, across the back yard along with the new cement parking pad and stamped concrete border tapering it to our existing drive. The pictures don't do it justice (attached is a "before" photo for reference). Everything was done with great care and precision, using high-quality materials. The owner of the company, Deborah, was a gem to work with. She is super-passionate about the environment and the quality of work her company does. We worked with Gerardo and he was also fantastic. He had great ideas and suggestions in terms of practicality and design. He was also flexible with a few adjustments along the way. I initially hired Gerber to tune-up all my existing pavers, add a new paver driveway, and add some new path lighting. Adding the new driveway was somewhat of a challenge as the adjacent paver sidewalks were initially constructed over 10 years ago. So, Gerber was able to find a great match to my existing pavers and masterfully piece the new driveway together in such a fashion where old and new appear seamless. Amazing!!! During the process, we learned that his team also offered landscaping. So as the hardscaping and lighting was coming to an end, his team met with us for a design consultation. Both Kathy and Katherine brought some great experience/knowledge to assess our current situation and offered wonderful ideas to the overall design. Marco was honest, reasonable, and even suggested preserving as much of the pre-existing flagstones as we could so that we could keep the cost down. He answered all my questions and kept me posted on the start and end date. Our walkway and stairs were in complete disarray with several broken and loose pieces. The previous owner had haphazardly used a mortar that was not meant for flagstone and it looked terrible. Marco did a fantastic job chiseling out the old mortar in order to repoint the stairs and relay and repoint the walkway. The whole thing looks brand new and we couldn't be happier. Thank you Marco!
