I sent a picture by text. A small job. The "flat" quote came back almost immediately. It was very reasonable. We agreed on the work. Pedro came that morning, sketched the work and sent it for fabrication. He and his crew arrived that afternoon with the rail, primed. After a small modification (bending an end to finish a wall end ) and painting on site, the rail was installed on the steps. It was nice work. I hired Pedro to do a big job for a building I manage. I told him what I needed and he gave me a price. I asked him to send me an invoice when we finished our walk through, he did not. The morning of the job I asked him again and said the owner will not move forward with the job I the invoice was not sent. He sent one with some detail and some generic language. Two of the things that were included in the price he did not do. Another thing was done half way and I had to point that out to him. He seemed like he didn't want to do it, but did it quickly. He also replaced bars for the first floor windows but didn't even bother to line them up with the original holes from the old bars, which looks sloppy. I realized later he did not weld the new support bars to the safety covering over basement stairs. He originally agreed to sand and paint this covering and he didn't. He didn't even paint the support bars. He referred me to 2 service providers for other work. Once he saw I brought in other people to price compare he attempted to bully me into hiring his referrals. I told him if they were the best fit then I would hire them. When I spoke to him about not doing what we originally discussed he just looked at me. When the owner came to see the work done she was not happy with the corners he cut. I contacted Pedro to tell him how the owner felt. He said to have her call him, but then he blocked my number. The owner then called him directly to tell him her concerns about the job he did. He said he would send a $400 check to cover the things he agreed to do but didn't. He never sent the check and when the owner contacted him to follow up, she saw he also blocked her number. He also convinced the 2 people he referred to me to not work with me. He's is not a man of his word, shows up late without notice and doesn't care, and puts half effort into his work. I would not hire him, unless you want to throw away thousands of dollars like I did. To make matters worse, I know he behaved in the manner he did because the owner and I are women. read more

Pedro did excellent work repairing the railings outside my home. I was unable to be present so he worked with my dad to get the job done on our property and was always responsive and helpful. The first day we set up a meet to get an estimate, he did forget about the meeting until my dad called him. But he was quick to come as soon as he realized his error. No other issues after that and despite a few delays because of poor weather, as soon as there was a sunny day, the work was completed.
