We are extremely pleased with the repair and stabilization work completed on our 157-year-old cast iron fence. The structure was in danger of falling over and potentially shattering, and this team handled the project with great care and expertise. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, and completed the job quickly without sacrificing quality. The workmanship was excellent, and their communication throughout the process was clear and professional. We couldn't be happier with the results. These gentlemen take pride in their work, and it shows. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of high-quality repair services--you can trust that they will do an outstanding job. read more

Outstanding service from beginning to end. We were looking to install railings in our front steps. I found Dan Iron Works on yelp and asked for an estimate. Dan came by and took measurements and discussed the various options with us. He had some samples in his truck that he showed us as well. He sent an estimate, we approved and in the second visit he and his team installed the beautiful railing I had selected. He was prompt in his response, knowledgeable and punctual. I would highly recommend him. read more

This fellow is a great artist. The only one of the iron mongers I interviewed who came up with a customized sketch which incorporated design motifs from a pair of existing gates. All of the other folks I interviewed were going to use pre-fab panels and arrived late for their appointments. Also, Dan charged less, was on time and was willing to answer all my questions. He is a skilled craftsman and my balcony is an original masterpiece. Do not hesitate to hire him and you will be rewarded with custom work of the highest quality. read more

I highly recommend Daniel to meet your needs for antique ironwork repair. My historical home is documented in the book Arlington Va Heritage, by Eleanor Templeman, 1959. It has many handmade wrought iron features from the early 1800's. The fastenings of one (500-lb) half of my two-part swinging carriage gate was severely damaged by a car bumper and looked impossible to repair. Sickening! I didn't think a craftsman could be found. To my amazement, Daniel solved a truly complex repair--both to close the fence and to restore the ability to free-swing. The bonus: before the damage, the fence halves had to be lifted to swing. No more, a real miracle. The price was exactly what I myself would have charged for such a highly skilled repair. Thank you, Daniel!!! read more

Dan promptly came out to inspect our damaged entry stairs and provided a clear, competitive estimate with an impressive warranty on his work. Because of the safety concerns with the damaged stairs, he shifted his schedule to repair the stairs within 48 hours. He quickly completed the repairs to an exemplary standard, including repainting, resulting in safe, secure, and beautiful entry stairs that look as good as the day they were made decades ago. Excellent responsiveness, quality, and value...I highly recommend Dan Iron Works. read more

I had some repair work to be done on a fence. A lot of contractors were non-responsive to my request. However, Daniel and his team was very responsive to my initial request. Start to finish it was 2 weeks from the initial message to completion. It would have been done sooner but we discovered that a new part had to be ordered in the initial survey. Price was reasonable and the job was done quickly with no issues. read more
