We couldn't be happier with our experience with Fence & Deck Connection in Millersville! From our first meeting with Chris to the final installation, everything exceeded our expectations. Chris was fantastic to work with. He listened to exactly what we wanted, delivered everything he promised, and gave us a great price. The entire process was seamless--from the initial quote and permitting to the installation. Their team handled all of the permitting for us, kept us informed every step of the way, and communicated exceptionally well throughout the project. What impressed us most was how efficiently everything was completed. Our entire project was finished in just one week, and the quality of the work is outstanding. If you're looking for a company that is professional, honest, organized, and delivers exceptional results, I highly recommend Fence & Deck Connection. We had an amazing experience and would absolutely use them again! read more

This was our first time dealing with Fence and Deck Connection, and I have to say we are very happy we chose them. Kevin, our Salesperson came to the house and discussed our project (white vinyl railing around front porch and handrails on both sides of steps.) He understood exactly what we wanted done. We had a budget in mind and after meeting with Kevin went over our budget very little. Chris, Project Supervisor, was our next visitor. Chris reaffirmed measurements. Seven days later we met Christian and Hector our Installers. They were EXCELLENT! Very friendly, polite, and hard workers. After railings were completed they cleaned up, and even wiped down the railings. Even though we went a little over budget, we truly believe we got our moneys worth. Thanks again, Kevin, Chris, Christian and Hector? read more

What had happened was, the beam of my deck was sagging. It was becoming very obvious to the point that my neighbor brought it to my attention. Fence and deck connection are the contractors who built the deck. So I called them to see if they could come make the repair. I sent them a picture and they responded quickly! I was given some information & guidance about reaching out to my HOA, which I had not thought of so that was helpful. They gave me options for the repair and all I had to do was choose the time frame. The overall the experience was convenient as they sent me an invoice. I was able to pay a portion of the bill until after they completed the replacement. They arrived promptly, actually early, on the agreed upon date and the beam was exchanged within 2 hours. I watched them on my house camera and they were quick. The did a great job! read more

If you live in the Savannah area, I'd advise you to find another fence company. Although the Rep was very professional and seemed to care about the quality of the work being done, the installation was subpar and we continue to discover problems months after the installation. The chain link has already loosened and sagging. The chain link posts for the gate were installed too close together. The vinyl gate is already sagging and drags due to improper installation. I could continue but you get the point. Clearly not a very good value for the money. read more

Buyer Beware Run Away! Fence and Deck Connection is an unprofessional organization that "installs" fences poorly. Don't beleive me, keep reading. We hired Fence and Deck Connection to install roughly 10 feet of privacy fence and gate. We assumed that they were professional enough to plan, execute, and provide quality control for the project. Well none of that is true. Chris, the project manager, failed to plan, control, or lead the project. He delivered the wrong plans to the crew which put the fence in the wrong spot swinging the wrong way. The first attempt at our fence was wrong in every way. They had to come back--take it all down and rebuild it from scratch. Chris povided no leadership or quality control during the process. In fact, he couldn't be bothered to come back and check the work. On the first go the crew dumped dry concrete mix down the fence post holes and when confronted about it Chris attempted to claim this a dry pour. He said that this will harden with ground moisture into solid concrete. The crew that installed the fence on both occasions were not properly equipped to do the job given that the fence parts are not even cut to the right dimensions. To be clear we just left the "fixed" version with its poor install quality alone becasue the issues aren't worth having the fence rebuilt a third time. Things like the gate not being even, or that we were told by Bob, who is Chris's boss, that the fence was going to need be adjusted by September-- 5 months after install. The company treated us with a lack of respect and a lack of professionalism when it came our justified complaints about the wrong install, poor communication, customer service and workmanship. In fact, Joel told us that it was essentially our fault that the fence was wrong for providing the wrong plans, when the company was in fact in charge of that. Leaving aside the blatent deception with the "concrete" with no water-- which is all on video. I am sure this low-grade company will try to convince you that we are unreasonable customers or that they fixed it so all should be forgiven. Sure, we are unreasonable for thinking they should do a good job. Yes we are unreasonable for thinking that we should not have to watch them to make sure they do a good job. We are unreasonble for being insulted with a $100 Amazon gift card as a "good faith" gesture as if the issues weren't that bad when they had to completely replace and remeasure all fencing and gate. The time for them to make it right was immediately, and to leave a good impression started on day one. They left us running away. They demonstrated a lack of professionalism--sneaking onto our property to install the fence the first time saying nothing and sneaking away saying nothing when finished. The project manager couldn't even be bothered to keep the basics straight. Where the gate goes, how big it should be, where the posts go, what plan the workers needed-- nothing. This company is utterly incompetent and no matter what deal they offer you it is waste of your time and money. read more

Fair price. Solid project management. Good crew. Great results. Exactly what I asked for. Nothing more. What more do you need?

Fence and Deck came to our newly built NV Home to fix a deck board and screen in our deck. They did a pro job. The workers worked very hard and were diligent. I was really impressed with how thorough they were, how well they communicated and how long and hard they worked. They were polite and respectful, and I have nothing but good things to say about them. And I am a perfectionist--so the fact that I was super pleased--really says a lot. I will recommend them to everyone I know who is looking for a fence or deck contractor! read more

Five years ago, when we moved into our current home, we had a vinyl fence installed by fence and deck connection. I recently noticed that the gates on the fence were no longer aligned. I reached out to the company and they came out within a day of my phone call inquiring about free adjustments to assess what needed to be done. Even though I was told the leadtime was 4 to 6 weeks, it was not even two weeks later before a crew was out to make the necessary adjustments. The three man crew was polite, courteous, and very knowledgeable. They definitely knew what they were doing and were in and out within several hours, and that included a trip to get some parts. If you're looking to have a fence installed, I would definitely recommend you give this company a call to provide an estimate. I can definitely attest to there quality of work and customer service. read more

Fence & Deck Connection - New deck - Fences & Gates Near Me - Millersville, Maryland

Fence and Deck Connections, built my deck over 15 years ago. They were quick and professional. Then I decided this year to upgrade the deck to Trex. The gentlemen named Bobby Tucker came out to my home and walked me through the entire process. I had what felt like a million questions and he professionally answered all my concerns. He even gave me good ideas to enhance my vision of the new deck. I also noticed Mr.Tucker was polite and encouraging, but was not pushy and respected my date and time to start and complete the work. He brought several hard Trex samples, written document information of the materials and sketches of my deck. Which was wonderful because an upgraded deck or color change had to be approved by my community HOA. The workers arrived on time each day. They were extremely professional and they completed the job very quick. The workers left my property extremely neat and clean after they finished working each day. Several Neighbors have already asked me about my new deck, and I proudly tell them to call Fence and Deck Connections. I can honestly say......My husband and I, love love LOVE our new deck. read more

Most unethical and unprofessional company! We had our fence built in 2018. We went through the painstaking process of getting approval through the county and the correct procedures. They told us they built three inches less our property line so that if our neighbors ever built a fence, it wouldn't encroach on our property. Last week, they built our neighbor fence and used the whole left side of our fence as her fence. I called to talk to them and said it's not their problem. That we're still 100% financially and legally liable for the fence. We're still paying for the fence. So our neighbor gets a free fence that Fence and Deck willingly built and we are stuck with the bill and sharing most of our fence. This company is trash! If you like being tricked and paying out the nose for a fence with horrible quality. This is the company for you. read more

Update: While there were a few issues along the way, those have been addressed and we are happy with our new fence.

We had 3 estimates for a deck installation. Fence & Deck had the best pricing by a large margin, and they were able to start work a few weeks after we greenlit the project. Jake was out point of contact, and he was absolutely amazing. He kept us super informed with every step, letting us know when the permits were being approved, ect. We had some last minute changes and that was simply not an issue. The whole planning process was seamless and just hiccup free. It was important to just feel you made the right decision at the point in the project, and they did just that. Work day!! The crew must not be human as they began work in 17 degree weather. I worked 10 years in landscape construction and was impressed. We had a few super minor concerns pop up (old patio removal, ect) but they handled it with ease. Tim was out project manager and he was super helpful in making sure the crew was doing everything we needed and was always responding back quickly when we had questions. The Deck! Honestly we were floored by the final project. The deck came out absolutely beautiful! They cleanup up effectively. The crew really was amazing. Professional, courteous, and with serious skills, really impressive. Our family highly recommends these guys for decking. read more

My family is very pleased with our wooden fence. We worked with Jeff as our sales person. He worked with me for over a year until we finally decided to move forward. He was very patient and emailed me after hours answering all my questions. The pricing was by far the best we had received for this style fence. I could not believe the price difference between several companies was thousands of dollars! The warranty is really what sold it. During the install we worked with our construction manager Francisco. His team was kind, courteous and quick! The fence was installed nine hours! They checked with me several times on spacing prior to getting started. We also had Logan follow up and do a quality check a few days after install. The fence is truly better than I could have imagined. I will recommend Fence and Deck to all that ask. read more

Fence & Deck Connection is a very well run, tech-savvy operation that provides high quality work at a very reasonable price.   Our project Manager Ben kept us well informed at each step, and I was amazed at how quickly and easily the process unfolded, from the original contract with rough drawings to a detailed professional CAD drawing a few days later to approval of county permits a few days after that.   Every step, including construction of our beautiful new deck, happened more quickly than estimated, and much more quickly than I initially thought possible.   And the final product was exactly what we asked for and wanted. read more

I am happily impressed with this company and their response to customer service. I had to wait a couple of weeks for the person to come out to access the fencing area, but they told me it was due to an influx of request because of the dicey weather (high winds, rain, etc) we have had. After a couple of weeks, the guy Jimmy came out measure the area asked for my wishes and sent me the estimate a few days after. Once I accepted the estimate and paid the deposit, I was contacted shortly to set up a time have the fence installed. The day of the installation was smooth. The guys were very nice and hard working. Although my irrigation system had some damage to the install, Fence and Deck Connection immediately responded to my email (and it was on a Sunday) to assure me that it will be fixed. I can't say it enough that I am really impressed with this company and their strive for great customer service. My irrigation was fixed that week and I cannot be happier. I would definitely recommend this company for any future fence or deck work. Plus they support my previous employer the SPCA of Anne Arundel County so that's a major plus in my books! read more

Fence & Deck Connection's rating is fully merited. I obtained four quotes for my fencing project, and Fence & Deck Connection was the only company that took the quoting process seriously. Though he billed himself as a salesman, Joel, my initial contact, did not try to sell me anything; he arrived timely for our appointment, clad in professional attire and carrying a measuring wheel. I was impressed with how efficiently he took measurements and proposed options for my project. First impressions matter, and Joel did his company well. Ultimately, Fence & Deck Connection bid the lowest, so awarding them the contract was a no-brainer. But even before I received the quotes, Fence & Deck Connection was on the top of my list due to their workmanship. I sought out some of their older projects to see how their fences aged; in comparison to some of their competition, Fence & Deck Connection's fences have held up well in the face of the region's variable weather. On the day of the actual installation, the crew members worked fastidiously and finished ahead of schedule. Francisco, the foreman, went above and beyond the call of duty to implement a last-minute change that I requested. Overall, I recommend Fence & Deck Connection unequivocally. read more

I don't like to write reviews immediately after a purchase. I prefer to wait and see how the product or service perform. I purchased a deck and fence from FDC about 5 years ago. I can honestly say they are the best home contracting company I have ever hired. The price was not the cheapest, but the quality and value are long lasting. The installation was professional, prompt and neat. All employees are amiable to help whenever needed. I had a problem with an area sagging this spring. I contacted them and they came out and fixed the problem, no charge. Our deck looks as beautiful today as the day of installation! I have referred all my family and friends to this good company. read more

They did an outstanding job and lowered the price on a year old quote. My metal fence looks great. However, I should have paid a little extra to get the commercial grade. The installers were prompt and worked efficiently all day. They did however fail to firmly attach a side rail to a post. When I called with my concern they returned the same day to correct the oversight. I was pleased with their work and would recommend them for your next fencing project. read more

Needed a new set of stairs and porch for my townhouse. Wouldn't even give me an estimate because it's their "busy season" and the square footage of the porch was less than 100 square feet. The team built both our fence and deck. Great communication and pricing during both projects. You get what you pay for and that's a sturdy, quality build for them. If you compare our projects to similar builds in our neighborhood (from competitors), you'll notice the difference immediately. The "other guys" just aren't as good. Great lines and perfect cuts is what we got. Zero issues. The build team asked if there anything they do better and it was tough to find anything that could be better. We will always recommend Fence & Deck Connection. read more

Wow! F&D Connection runs there business like we all wish every contractor would. From the salesman to the project manager and construction crew, they are all top notch. Their ability to communicate and responsiveness to questions were key to keeping our deck demo and reconstruction a low stress, simple, and smooth process. I vetted many companies and they were literally half the price of a contractor and twice as much as a companies who I weren't even sure had build a deck before, so middle of the road pricing for a top of the line product. I am pleased with their workmanship and hope to enjoy our new deck for many years to come! read more

My experience with Fence & Deck was nothing short of great! From the first time I met with Chris and gave him my vision of what I wanted, there was one obstacle in my yard but Chris came up with a solution to work around that. I think it took less than an hour for him to get the estimate to me and I was very satisfied with the price. A few days later, Jimmy showed up to take pictures and measurements and explained to me everything that would take place. Little did they know at the time, my neighbor approves permits for the town and she expressed how professional they were and everything was in order and she never had to reach back out to them. On the first day the crew worked through the rain until about 3pm when the rain just became too much. The next day was a complete washout, out of their control, so no work could be performed. However, the next two days the crew worked late into the day to finish. They power washed the deck and cleaned up the yard whereas you could never tell that a work crew had been there. Needless to say, I am extremely happy with my new deck! I would recommend Fence & Deck to anyone and want to thank everyone involved for the great job! read more

It's been almost one year since F&DC installed our Trex deck and replaced 3 wooden gates, and I could not be happier with the services they have provided. Our two project managers kept open lines of communication throughout the entire process even after the projects were completed. Twenty years ago Fence & Deck Connection installed a long fence (about 1,000 feet) around my backyard. Twenty years later five of the hundred or so vertical posts had rotted and were sagging, and I was worried they wouldn't last another winter. When I called Fence & Deck Connection to repair the fence, I didn't even remember that they provided a lifetime warranty on it. But of their own accord they reminded me of that fact and came out and did the needed repairs. It is very rare that I have ever used a product's warranty and never have I used one twenty years after I made a purchase. Unfortunately I wasn't able to complete the job last year due to new baby expenses, but I reached out to him 2 days ago with the signed order and paid the initial down payment. Joel anticipated he could have a crew to us within a week. Our entire experience with Fence & Deck Connection was amazing from start to finish. They were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and prompt. Our estimator (Eddie) was so thorough in explaining our options and asking us lots of questions to ensure he understood all aspects of our project and what we were looking for. This experience contrasted sharply with the estimates from other contractors we received for the same project, where the estimator seemed like they were in a hurry and didn't give us any information about their company, material and construction options, etc. Eddie went through all of this information in great detail, so the estimate we received was exactly customized to our preferences, down to the style of pickets in the front yard. This really set the tone for the whole experience and was the reason we ultimately chose Fence & Deck Connection for this project. The estimate was very reasonable, especially considering the emphasis they obviously placed on craftsmanship, which was something no other company discussed - we knew they would do a quality job and take pride in their work. We decided to pull the permit ourselves to save a bit of money, and the process ended up being really difficult with the county due to some restrictions about our lot. The team at Fence & Deck Connection was so communicative, helpful, and patient during this time while we worked everything out. They gave us advice on how to proceed and provided us with new drawings of the project to satisfy the county's changes. They helped us sort out the changes in the estimate and financing. Even with Covid in full swing, we were able to start the project pretty quickly. Our production manager (Bill) was super communicative as he checked the placement of flags and scheduled our start date. The installers kept us in the loop throughout the whole installation process. They verified information, asked us questions, and answered ours - basically making sure everything was the way we wanted it. They even helped us replace our mailbox. After the project was completed, several members of the Fence & Deck Connection team reached out to make sure we were satisfied and didn't have any other concerns. A week or two later, we noticed one of the gate posts had shifted and needed to be adjusted, and they sent someone out quickly to fix it, no questions asked. This project was easily the most painless interaction I've ever had with a contractor, and I could not recommend Fence & Deck Connection more! read more
