I hired this company for several exterior repairs. The concrete work turned out well, and I was pleased with that portion. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the front door trim replacement. I provided photos and explained that I wanted something similar to the existing trim. We discussed flat PVC, and I specifically asked if it would be similar to what was already there, just without the decorative profile. The finished result was not what I expected, and the caulking and paint work did not look professionally finished. Paint was left on the concrete near the bottom door trim, and debris was left in the yard. The storm door also did not operate properly after the work--it no longer opened as far or closed/latch as it had before. Screws were also left stripped and shutters were bent. I had to carve out additional time for the company to return and try to correct the issues. I had also requested replacement of the smaller inner trim, but only after the work was completed was I told that it was part of the storm door and could not simply be replaced. I wish this had been explained during the estimate so I could have made an informed decision beforehand. The original project also included work on the garden hose connection. They ran into an issue and told me they would provide a new quote, but I never received one. Even if they ultimately couldn't complete the work, a follow-up letting me know would have been appreciated. Overall, the concrete work was good, but the door-trim workmanship, cleanup, communication, additional time required for corrections, and lack of follow-through left me disappointed. read more

We are very happy with the work these guys did to our home recently. They replaced our roof, both patio and pool decks, and installed a sliding glass door. Marcos gave me an estimate for each one, which was very fair. First, they did a complete tear off and put on a new roof. Then, they replaced the deck boards and did repairs to some boards underneath. The third project, they replaced our patio door with a sliding glass door. At each job, they arrived on time, cleaned up the area after, and they are all very friendly. I know I wouldn't get a better job for a better price anywhere else. Next job....replace kitchen floors! read more

I was going to hire this guy for snow removal and he estimated the cost would be $175 - a bit pricey but ok - then I asked if the service would include cleaning my car of snow which is in my driveway. $50 to simply knock the snow off of a car when you are already doing the steps and driveway. Looking at some of the passed reviews I would stay away from this one. read more

We hired this company for the masonry work, for an outdoor project lining our existing front walkway with bricks. Unfortunately, due to several factors, we would not hire again. This primarily includes having no invoice or record of agreements/pricing, lack of organization and communication on what customer wants, accidentally cutting our fios cable prompting repairs, and finally (most importantly) the final result was so poorly done for an expensive cost we need to find another company to help us fix/improve the look. The manager was very polite and professional at the quote appointment. We agreed on the project and price -- laying the bricks (i purchased) with concrete for longevity for $1500 -- we arranged dates and times for the work. But there was no invoice or record of agreement. And for the remaining work, never saw the manager again, even when I asked him to come the final day. When work started by 2 employees, it was looking great. I saw they were laying the bricks over the top of a layer of concrete. But then, while digging near the house, they cut our Fios internet cable. We needed to arrange for Verizon to repair, adding in costs. Adding Constructiob manager never showed up. Next issue was as they were wrapping up -- they filled the bricks with both polymer sand and the existing regular tan sand we already had. Not only 2 different colors - but we didnt want the sand! Instead of apologizing, the manager tried to convince me to keep it (over texts). But I said, that's not what our agreement was for. I asked him to come and we could discuss in person. Reluctantly he sent his 2 workers the next day and they filled with concrete --- but looking like all the photos (taken 1 week later). I shouldn't have paid them, but I did --- so now all I can do is provide a warning to any potential customers not to hire this company for masonry. And ask for an invoice and plan. read more

Highly recommend Adding Construction! They were incredibly responsive and came by quickly with a very fair estimate to remove thick, invasive wintercreeper vines along our side fence. Their team did a great job carefully clearing the vines from the chain-link fence and hand-pulling them from the ground. They also removed old landscaping fabric left by previous owners under the deck and in the foundation beds. Earlier this year, I also hired them to help create new garden beds -- they edged, mulched, and cleared out several invasive shrubs (including Nandina and Scotch Broom). I've been very happy with the quality of their work and their attention to detail. I'll definitely be using their services again! read more

We reached out to this business about a leak in our ceiling that was causing water damage. Marcos (Gerardo) came quickly to give us an estimate which was great. We decided to go ahead with the service and when the day and time of service came, he didn't show. We reached out to him and he responded that he was running 1-2 hours late. We had to go to work so we rescheduled. His team came to open the ceiling for us about a week later so we could find the leak. With the ceiling now open, we were able to find the source of the leak. My husband and I reached out multiple times to get on Marcos' schedule and asked for a contract for the repair of the leak and ceiling. He would continually agree to come and then not show. Now Marcos isn't responding to us at all. Why start work when you have no interest or intention of finishing the job? We are now stuck with a hole in our ceiling and have to find another company to remedy it. I would not recommend Adding Construction. read more

If it were possible I would give a zero star rating. After an initial agreed upon time and date this contractor didn't show up at the agreed upon date and time, nor did he call. Perturbed but giving the benefit of the doubt because of rain I contacted Adding to reschedule. Again the contractor stood me up just like first time. I had a mixed experience with Marcos. I hired him for a big job and some of the tasks were done well and others left me disappointed. Pros: Of my trees, he did a good job with trimming most of them in a way that got branches off of the house or power lines and were aesthetically-pleasing. He and his crew arrived on time and worked hard the whole day. They hauled away all of the downed branches and limbs. When he asked if I was satisfied with the work, he stayed to do a bit more trimming after I pointed to my one holly tree that was left much bushier than I'd hoped. He is competitively-priced and affordability was a major factor for me hiring his crew. Cons: I wanted my pear tree cut to half height - they cut the whole thing down to the stump. When trimming some branches near service wires that ran to my house, they ended up severing the FIOS line, which left me without internet for a day and meant I had to wait for a Verizon rep the whole next day (though, to Marcos' credit, he did take off the estimated Verizon price from what he charged me). The biggest part of the job was trimming back two big holly trees. When getting estimates, I asked everyone if they could reach the highest branches and cut them shorter. Marcos said he could, but it really ended up with him just climbing up to the top and chopping it off while leaving the very long branches that I'd hoped to trim to a shorter length. As I mentioned before, he did return to try to trim some of those, but he didn't seem equipped to handle the task. If I need the larger trees done again, I'll probably turn to someone else. A smaller job? He could handle it. read more

Boy am I Re-leaved! Bought a house and the leaves had to be a foot deep. Had deliveries coming in a few days and didn't own a rake yet. Plus it was just too much work to be done by me. So I jump on Yelp and Adding Construct popped up and I messaged them. Quick response time and we actually met that day. The price was reasonable for leaf removal and gutter cleaning combined. A team was at my house the next day! The work was done timely and well. I did not see one leaf y'all! I recommend this business for their professionalism, quick response time and quality work.
