Marcos gave me an estimate for each one, which was very fair. First, they did a complete tear off and put on a new roof. Then, they replaced the deck boards and did repairs to some boards underneath. The third project, they replaced our patio door with a sliding glass door. At each job, they arrived on time, cleaned up the area after, and they are all very friendly. I was going to hire this guy for snow removal and he estimated the cost would be $175 - a bit pricey but ok - then I asked if the service would include cleaning my car of snow which is in my driveway. $50 to simply knock the snow off of a car when you are already doing the steps and driveway. We hired this company for the masonry work, for an outdoor project lining our existing front walkway with bricks. Unfortunately, due to several factors, we would not hire again. This primarily includes having no invoice or record of agreements/pricing, lack of organization and communication on what customer wants, accidentally cutting our fios cable prompting repairs, and finally (most importantly) the final result was so poorly done for an expensive cost we need to find another company to help us fix/improve the look. The manager was very polite and professional at the quote appointment. We agreed on the project and price -- laying the bricks (i purchased) with concrete for longevity for $1500 -- we arranged dates and times for the work. But there was no invoice or record of agreement. And for the remaining work, never saw the manager again, even when I asked him to come the final day. When work started by 2 employees, it was looking great. I saw they were laying the bricks over the top of a layer of concrete. But then, while digging near the house, they cut our Fios internet cable. We needed to arrange for Verizon to repair, adding in costs. Adding Constructiob manager never showed up. Next issue was as they were wrapping up -- they filled the bricks with both polymer sand and the existing regular tan sand we already had. Not only 2 different colors - but we didnt want the sand! Instead of apologizing, the manager tried to convince me to keep it (over texts). But I said, that's not what our agreement was for. I asked him to come and we could discuss in person. Reluctantly he sent his 2 workers the next day and they filled with concrete --- but looking like all the photos (taken 1 week later). I shouldn't have paid them, but I did --- so now all I can do is provide a warning to any potential customers not to hire this company for masonry. And ask for an invoice and plan. read more

I had a mixed experience with Marcos. I hired him for a big job and some of the tasks were done well and others left me disappointed. Pros: Of my trees, he did a good job with trimming most of them in a way that got branches off of the house or power lines and were aesthetically-pleasing. He and his crew arrived on time and worked hard the whole day. They hauled away all of the downed branches and limbs. When he asked if I was satisfied with the work, he stayed to do a bit more trimming after I pointed to my one holly tree that was left much bushier than I'd hoped. He is competitively-priced and affordability was a major factor for me hiring his crew. Cons: I wanted my pear tree cut to half height - they cut the whole thing down to the stump. When trimming some branches near service wires that ran to my house, they ended up severing the FIOS line, which left me without internet for a day and meant I had to wait for a Verizon rep the whole next day (though, to Marcos' credit, he did take off the estimated Verizon price from what he charged me). The biggest part of the job was trimming back two big holly trees. When getting estimates, I asked everyone if they could reach the highest branches and cut them shorter. Marcos said he could, but it really ended up with him just climbing up to the top and chopping it off while leaving the very long branches that I'd hoped to trim to a shorter length. As I mentioned before, he did return to try to trim some of those, but he didn't seem equipped to handle the task. If I need the larger trees done again, I'll probably turn to someone else. A smaller job? He could handle it. read more
