What a perfect meal. We had dinner while hubby was on a work trip. First off, every single staff member was polite, professional, and very attentive. They went above and beyond to make sure our time with them was excellent. Hubby enjoyed the oysters, while I devoured the complimentary bread basket. It was filled with a few different types of bread, but my favorite was the sourdough. We also ordered garlic cheese bread. It was good, but it was just a little too soft for me, plus I ate most of the bread basket. I had the cacio e pepe as my pasta dish, and it was delicious. It had lots of crushed black pepper and cheese. I also had a huge bone in pork chop with roasted veggies. It was thick and the glaze was a little spicy and complimented the pork well. The veggies were cooked to perfection and brightened up the dish. Hubby had the Bolognese and that was by far the best dish of the night. The sauce was meaty and had such a rich flavor. The house made pasta was cooked perfectly and the ricotta that topped the dish was creamy and full of Italian flavor. We ended the dinner with a chocolate dessert that was recommended by our fantastic waitress. I didn't get a picture, but it was vanilla ice cream covered with a hard chocolate coating with a cherry in the center. It was decadent and the perfect way to end our trip in Palm Beach. read more

What a delightful dining environment inside and outside with live music on the weekends. Perfect brunch date place. Service was fast and friendly. Lots of drink options and though brunch menu was a bit limited but solid options of breakfast, lunch and vegetarian choices. I opted for the truffle arugula prosciutto pizza and it was huge. Definitely enough to share. Lightly made and very good with a nice layer of cheese. Lots of prosciutto on top and some arugula. Plenty of truffle oil. My friend got the omelette and included all the veggies. It came nicely loaded and was cooked well. Prices reflect it's resort location and they stamp your parking. Will be back! read more

I believe Polpo has finally perfected their Sunday brunch menu. I've dined here a few times and the Sunday brunch menu never seemed to entice me too much. It looked like overpriced breakfast. Their new menu however, has me wondering if I want breakfast, lunch or both. Everything on the menu looked appetizing. I dined here with a friend on a Sunday at noon. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. We chose to sit outside. Our server was very attentive during the entire duration and so were the other staff members who refilled our drinks or cleaned our plates. The experience here can be considered fine dining and we both felt that the food hit the spot. We started off with oysters. They were a bit pricy but after eating them, we felt they were worth every penny. Next we ordered some pastries each. I wasn't expecting a very aesthetically eye pleasing done plate on the pastry, but yes! It looked beautiful with an edible chocolate chip displaying the restaurant name. We also shared the pappardelle pasta along with the steak and eggs. The pappardelle pasta was the perfect portion and I am willing to come back again just for this dish. The steak and eggs were also cooked to perfection and it came with a side of potatoes. Overall, this was an amazing meal to last us for the rest of our spa day at Eau. We dined at Polpo several times during our recent babymoon visit to the Eau Spa and Hotel. Breakfast was fantastic all but one morning, when inexplicably it took at least 20+ minutes for a breakfast salad and avocado toast to arrive. No efforts were made to comp our espresso or cappuccino during this extended wait. Compared to the rest of our service during our stay, this oversight stood out like a sore thumb. At $24, the avocado toast dish was completely underwhelming. The actual mashed avocado was oxidized and not fresh looking or fresh tasting. There were maybe half a dozen tiny bits of ricotta sprinkled on top, and not even half a piece of bacon/pancetta in total. At this price you expect the avocado to be freshly mashed onto the toast, and for there to be much more generous portioning of the ricotta salata and pancetta. We paid extra for some poached eggs and those were nice. The breakfast salad was fine, but for $92 total I would not order these items again. The French toast, breakfast sandwich, and any of the Benedict options are a better value and more satisfying. We also dined here for dinner one evening and the meal was lovely. Service was exceptional. Not to be missed are the octopus, arancini, and cacio e pepe appetizers. We also shared the generously portioned Chicken Milanese and a slice of their famous chocolate cake. No regrets whatsoever and they even treated us with a little congratulatory dessert surprise. read more

What a great experience this was. I had eyes on Polpo since it was under "construction" one evening while having dinner at the restaurant next door inside the Eau Palm resort several months back, and I finally had a chance to try it out. Food: 5 stars. Simply amazing. I started with oysters on the half shell now that we are in season, and they were super fresh and chilled to perfection. For entrees I had the salmon and she had the branzino. Wow. Simply scrumptious and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend both and share, like we did. Service was impeccable. A very well trained young man was attentive without overdoing it, and his popping at the table to check on was well timed. The wine list is robust, but we stayed with cocktails and the mixology was spot on. Ambiance is great with wide floor to ceiling windows and an eastern exposure into the pool and the ocean beyond. This restaurant is a "special event" place and will hit your wallet hard, but a well worth it splurge. read more

The Chicken Martini dish is worth the trip - when they put it back on the menu but also made on request. The Garlic Bread, the Beet Salad (also not currently on the menu and the Bread Pudding are all stand outs. The restaurant is inside the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa which if you haven't been, "go". The service is less than perfect but ya can't have it all. And, it is bearable just needs a tad tending to or maybe to be more organized. read more

Treated myself for a spa visit, and feeling a bit peckish, I headed to one of the resort's restaurants for some sustenance (relaxing is hard work). In the mood to indulge, I ordered the banana Nutella pancakes, while my companion ordered the PalmBeach breakfast sandwich. While fluffy and cooked well, the pancakes didn't meet my expectations, since I was anticipating a more Nutella-forward treat, as opposed to just a drizzle on top. And while a side of Nutella sauce did the trick, it shouldn't have been necessary to nail the essence of the dish. Last night after a beautiful day spent on the beach and poolside at Eau Palm Resort and Spa we dined at the Polpo Palm Beach. If you are looking for a nice upscale Italian restaurant look no further than Polpo Palm Beach. From the pleasant hostess to the most attentive and courteous staff to the beautiful atmosphere, including a live piano player and singer your first impression is 5 star. The food was delicious as well. Our party of four started off with the Crispy Fried Calamari with cherry peppers and a Spicy Tomato Sauce. We each chose a different dish Penne Alla Vodka Della Casa - Vodka Sauce, Spinach, Sausage Chicken Milanese, Chicken Parmigiana, Veal Carciofi - Veal Medallions, Baby Artichoke Au Gratin. Everyone enjoyed their meals very much while sipping on a nice bottle of wine. My company went here for breakfast before heading to the airport. It's valet parking only so right there so you know you're going to spend a lot here. My daughter and I had a really nice experience at Polpo. We are on a girls weekend. We've been to Eau several times. It's a staycation for us. They made her a kids pesto pasta she loved and I had the gnocchi and shrimp pesto...delicious. I didn't look at the wine menu and had the manager just bring me a crisp Pinot Grigio and that wine should be taken off the menu. His other option was Santa Margarita. They could do better with wine options. We had delicious desserts. We will definitely be back. read more

Decided to check out the new restaurant at the Eau for Lunch. Myself and my spouse had a seafood salad. Didn't quite know what was in it. It was Mediocre for $28. A friend had the burger and said it was good, for $24. My other guest had the salmon over the greens. . Service was very slow and almost nonexistent. II had to get up to go to the host stand to tell them I wanted my check? When I saw the manager I told him, but the service was not very good. He said" so very sorry" and Immediately walked away? Polpo was really disappointing but first the good things about the restaurant. The staff is really nice and our waiter was both friendly and professional. The dining room has been done over and it looks very good. The wine selection was fine - as was the wine we chose. The complimentary bread basket was good with a nice olive bread and an excellent eggplant spread. Actually the eggplant spread was the best food I had all evening and in hindsight I should have left after that. I tried the Orecchiette (Alla Barese, $36) and this was awful. The Broccoli Rabe had no flavor and the whole dish was lacking in flavor. Come on - this isn't that complex of a dish to prepare. A Roasted Chicken (Chicken Canpagnola, $40) was a little strange with some of the cut up pieces being just too tough and dry to eat. The whole dish also suffered from too much salt. The Chicken like the Orecchiette was a failure. A Linguine with White Clam Sauce ($36) was okay with nicely cooked pasta. A Tartufo Dessert was good though with dark chocolate covering the house made vanilla ice cream. Maybe next time I'll go just for the Eggplant Spread and the Tartufo. Polpo, is new and perhaps it just needs time for corrections or maybe we went on an off night. read more

Looked forward to eat at Polpo given our party's past experiences and enjoyment eating at ownership's existing and past restaurants in the Northeast. Unfortunately the food turned out to be average nothing better than ok with a typical hotel premium attached to pricing. Started off with garlic bread which for $10 you expected something exceptional. We'll it was in the opposite side of the scale. Bread seemed multiple days old and had no garlic flavor. Also had as appetizers the fried zucchini at $14 which was very good and a forgettable bland minestrone soup at $15. For the main course I had a chicken Milanese $39 (which they named something else for the standard version with salad on top) which was just ok. We did have pasta (tagliolini cacio e Pepe $34) and wine as well. Unfortunately due to the food being just ok and the pricing being way over the top this is not a place I would try again. read more

Had a work dinner here last week and came away very impressed. It was clear it was a new restaurant (the staff was still figuring things out, the general manager came by to check on things multiple times) but the food was incredible and the staff was attentive and friendly. To start we split a number of items including the burrata, meatballs, zucchini fries and a couple salads. I thought the meatballs were the best of the appetizers. For my entre I had the branzino which was phenomenal as it usually is (came as an entire fish, "head to toe" as my waiter articulated it). The pasta looked great and I wish I would have ordered that. The lobster was huge, but the person who ordered it was from Boston and said it was good but not as good as a "cold water lobster". I think that was just a Boston person making sure everyone knew Boston has lobster. They had a great wine list as well, we ordered too many bottles of Cakebread Cellars white and red. One of my colleagues has been to the Connecticut location many times and said great things, hoping this one works well too! read more

However, it is supposed to provide a fining dining experience and in my experience it fell short To begin with, when making a reservation you need to specify you want to sit outside. If you don't, you will likely be seated inside - and the hostess will not ask for your preference when you make a reservation Secondly, the staff is generally great until they are not. Asked our server to have a chicken parm come with a half potion of spaghetti - and that was not an option unless you wanted pomodoro (which I found strange / unhelpful) Thirdly, out of 8 main courses we had over 2 seatings the only standout was the pasta with vodka sauce. The rest ranged from meh to disappointing Finally, went there twice - the second time was hit with a $500 bill that was from a different table. Bait and Switch. When I called back on March 5th the hostess told me it was not a buffet that it was a la carte menu. Then when I arrived on Easter it was Buffet only. So, at that time where was I going to find a new place to go on Easter. The problem I have is a lack of transparency. The manager was dishonest in saying it was the front desk made the reservation and that person is no longer here. I know that to be untrue because I was transferred to the restaurant. Also, I know that when you make a reservation on open table that an employee must put their name on the reservation. He looks at the name when I mentioned that point and ignores my plea. I'm sure he saw the name of the current employee that was probably one of the four hostesses in front of me but wouldn't acknowledge their wrong doing. . I understand hostess don't make a lot. However, it's the responsibility of the restaurant to inform them of the policies and prices of specific days. Look I'm not cheap, I have been in hospitality myself. I didn't take it out on the waitress , it wasn't her fault. Gave her over 20%. $66 on $331.70 for two people However, it's a little embarrassing to ask the price of the buffet in front of your date. Should have I? Yes. But shouldn't they have been more transparent? In my opinion yes. Additionally, it looks like it's only a $50 buffet on their web site. Look at picture. I truly do not know where to begin this review. I suppose I can start off by saying exactly what I expressed to management. "This restaurant single-handedly took down my Mother's Day!" I chose Polpo because I have dined at Polpo In Greenwich, CT as well as Louie's it's sister restaurant. Always an enjoyable experience. Tonight, Mother's Day I arranged dinner for myself, my son who lives in Miami and two other couples who are resident's of Palm Beach as I am. In a nutshell, I was never served my entree or wine. The waiter was absolutely rude almost to the point of being insulting. Someone at my table offered to share their chicken parmigan with me. The server, who I think might be the assistant manager brought over an appetizer plate to put my half of a shared entree on. To add to the comedy of errors neither of us could cut the chicken. It was like wood! I personally got up to complain to the manager. The message conveyed, he genuinely did not care whether we ever came there again. Sadly, the message we got was the restaurant caters to it's hotel guests in lieu of locals. Perhaps, there were some good dishes served at our table... However, the sheer ambivalence and disdain was so off putting we couldn't get past it. I now understand why The Ritz wanted their name off this property. read more

Terrible restaurant! Our service was just awful. Totally disorganized and inattentive. It took a full 30 minutes to get just water. Iced tea came without any sugar and we had to wait a long time till we saw our waiter to ask him for some. All the food was very slow to arrive at the table. Also, food was at room temperature not hot. For a hotel restaurant this is a very poor. The food was just mediocre nothing special. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. $200 for 2 people! read more
