We stopped by here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was empty but the bartender gave us a warm greeting so we took some seats at the bar. The restaurant had a good cozy feel about as well as a pleasing decor. And, one look at the menu with its Italian specialties let me know I was in the right place. So many great dishes such as Parmagina Reggiano a Gamboroni with sautéed shrimp with spinosini pasta, and a lobster or short rib ravioli, just to name a few. We started off with a couple rum and Sprite cocktails which were of a very good pour. Then, I went for their gazpacho. Though I like mine more chunky and theirs was more of a puree, that is a matter of personal taste but flavor isn't, and their gazpacho flavor was dead on delicious. Got sat as soon as we arrived. 10 minutes in, served bread - no menus yet. Had to ask for water. Menus received 20 minutes in. Waiter blamed wait on 2 large parties however restaurant was more than half empty. Also got sat right next to the bathroom despite there being many other available seats. Food came out at a decent time. It was okay taste wise. Nothing extraordinary and definitely not worth the crazy prices. I got octopus which was 4 tiny pieces and some greens sprinkled on it. My husband and I went for dinner here on a Saturday night. Not crowded, but not employ either. The place is pretty, light and elegant. The menu is pretty pricey, so I was expecting a mind blowing meal. Unfortunately, my mind was not blown. I found that the service was lacking. While our server was friendly, he was also difficult to find. We felt a little ignored and sat with empty glasses for some time. Also, my shrimp dish was overcooked. I was excited to dig into some colossal shrimp but disappointed when cutting into them and realizing they were hard and rubbery. Overcooking shrimp ruins the dish and was not expected at these prices. The fresh pasta that came with it was good. My husband's scallops were nice, but the risotto was bland. Not a lot of flavor in these dishes. Overall disappointing and overpriced. Probably won't be back, despite the sophisticated aesthetic. read more

It was boss lady's birthday so we decided to come here for lunch. We usually sit inside because who wants to melt in the Florida heat. It was national burger day but they were out of the bison burger that I've never seen on the menu before so I went with a familiar option, Tagliata di Manzo. The steak is always cooked to perfection and I love the fresh shaved parmesan. Our amazing waiter brought out different dessert options for us to share. Tiramisu, limoncello tart, apple strudel and my absolute favorite - chocolate mousse cake. Had a lovely date night here with the hubby. The reputation of Paradiso precedes it, and I have long wanted to try this well established Lake Ave gem. There is plenty of indoor seating and it was fairly easy to snag a reservation, and honestly didn't need one as it was very quiet even on a Saturday night. Our waiter was polite and attentive , and the food was excellent...if not a little small in portion (at least mine was). I ordered the beet tortelloni with veal and porcini mushrooms in cream sauce and it was so rich in flavor, I wish I had ordered the larger portion as it was over too soon. My husband had the scallops in risotto which was equally fantastic and I think, a better deal for your money. Prices are $$$ so expect to drop a pretty penny. The grilled octopus appetizer was perfectly cooked. We enjoyed every bite. The chocolate soufflé was good, but I probably could have done without as I was already so full. Today 18 ladies had the most elegant delicious lunch at this beautiful restaurant in Lake Worth, there was not one complaint only clapping for Chef Angelo Romano. First the bread w as baked in the restaurant, served with olive oil and grated cheese . We had two baskets at our table. We had three tables of ladies from BALLENISLES, We had yellow beet salad, superb or tuna carpaccio that was outstanding. For our main dish most of us ordered encrusted Branzino fish which was beyond. The veal was also outstanding. To top things off TIRAMISU So light and Devine. What s special afternoon of lunching with the best meal we have had in a long time. In fairness, I've had incredible dining experiences at Paradisio. Last night was not one of them. At these prices, excellence, consistency and courtesy should always be provided. Let me list some problems that our table experienced with last nights meal: 1. A very large fly was served in one of our guests water glasses . When the manager/owner was called to the table, he thought he was humorous when he apologized on behalf of the fly. He did provide bottled water after that. 2. We ordered 2 appetizers of ravioli. They were served slightly above room temperature. They remade them. 3. Two salads were ordered, none were delivered. 4. Two guests ordered a chicken speciality dish. It was very tough and not good. They didn't complain but they barely touched their food. 5. I.was so embarrassed in front of my guests, I did not order an entree. This restaurant has been around for a long time. This was our first bad experience. I guess they deserve another chance. Not so for the poor drowned fly. He's gone forever. See, I can joke around too. read more

This place is predatory and awful. I was served a $150/person 3-course Valentine's dinner that was nearly inedible. Since I wasn't allowed to order à la carte I chose my three options and hoped to be wowed. Tuna carpaccio was grayish and covered in tinned olives. Strip steak looked like it came out of a chilis kitchen. Tiramisu had layers of cool whip. I get that Valentine's Day is an opportunity for a restaurant like this to make a lot of money. But this was an absolutely dishonest and indecent way to rake in cash by serving terrible food because you know people will pay the bill when it comes. Service was rude and short with drinks made incorrectly with an oh well attitude. We'd been here before, but it was more than five years ago. We'd liked it then so we came back this past weekend to celebrate two birthdays. Although they don't do anything here special to acknowledge a birthday, we still wanted a high end meal -- aren't we worth it? The food was outstanding. That is why the five stars. But they were a full house and a bit short staffed so it took quite a long time between courses -- and a very long time to track someone down to get the bill. We started with a beet salad with Gorgonzola (we shared) that was wonderful. Our friends shared a caprese salad. For entrees, I had their pasta with lobster. It was on their list of daily offerings. It was large rigatoni with lobster chunks. Divine. I got the half order and it was more than enough. My husband had a bolognese sauced pasta -- off the menu. He said it was good. Our friends had the tortellini (tortelli?) stuffed with pears in a cheese sauce, the cauliflower soup, and the Penne a la Norma. We had the half orders. And for dessert, we chose their chocolate soufflé. It was a not too sweet dark chocolate paired with a scoop of chocolate gelato. Four spoons and one dessert -- perfect for a taste and a lovely ending to our meal. The food here is quite expensive, but it was top notch quality. In addition to taste, everything was plated prettily. We knew this going in and were prepared for the tab. Just a note. Reservations here are a must. If you book through open table or anyone else, make sure you call the restaurant directly a day or so in advance to reconfirm. I was not impressed with my meal there. I had nothing good to eat there. I've been all over Italy, many times. So I know a lot about Italian cooking, and I cook it a lot myself. The veal picatta, was like leather in a sole of a shoe, a cheap shoe, not the kind I wear. A very thin, the thinnest piece of veal, I have ever seen in my life. The toughest, hardest, piece. I asked the server if he had ever had it. His head went down, he just shook it, to say "No!" I told him in Italian what they would say if this was served over there where he was from! His eyes went wide open! And I said "Yeah, you know it! This is the worst!" I was the only person in the restaurant. And the appetizer wasn't good either. The dessert was poor as well. The glass of wine was a 5 on a scale of 1-10. I won't ever go back. When I can cook way better than a restaurant and pay 1/6th of the price, why would I? And sit alone anyway? By myself. Elegant space with valet parking. No reservation but seated immediately. Multiple cordial servers bringing menus, warm focaccia, and taking drink orders. Menu is just the right size and built off classic Northern Italian dishes - fish/seafood, meats, pastas, risotto. Several specials added. Started with a classic Caesar salad. Dressed perfectly with fresh, crisp greens. Special pappardelle bolognese was a hefty dish with al dente ribbons of pasta tossed with a meaty sauce with the right balance of carrots. Excellent dish, the subtlest hint of salt might have improved it to perfect, but absolutely exceptional. Dining companions enjoyed the branzino cooked in a salt crust and the pounded veal chop parmigiana on the bone. Tried the excellent veal - tender with a zesty tomato sauce and mozzarella in every bite. Closed with some crunchy biscotti with just the precise whisper of sweetness. This is one of my very favorite restaurants in the entire Palm Beach County. My favorite of all time is the cauliflower soup and I ordered it out for lunch and take it to go and get it almost every time I'm there! But everything on their menu is good and they have so many unusual options to choose from! Also, their wine list is excellent. Very happy to be spending Mother's Day here before the actual holiday. My mother and I had the Pinot Grigio and my husband had a beer. I don't think they are busy at lunch, but I'm sure they are busy at dinner. This is a beautiful restaurant oozing of Italian authenticity. The quality of this restaurant has dropped severely in the span of a year. First of all for the money you're spending at a restaurant like this, the service is absoultely horrible, and an even more appropriate description, service is non existent. We've been here 2 times, first time for NYE where it was low key, but food was delicious. Last night (Valentine's day) was another story. Their "system" online apparently over booked the restaurant and was sitting people an hour after their reservation time. After finally getting to our table, it took about 20 minutes to get a menu provided. Another 15 minutes to put an order in, and another 45 minutes to just get our appetizer and this was after asking where it was. Servers walk back and forth not even making eye contact with patrons. Leave empty plates on the table, and only removed them at our asking 30-40 min later. No asking "would you like something else, etc." You could see the frustration on everyone's face in the restaurant. I've been in situations like this before where the manager would at least make rounds around the dining room and appologize to patrons, and even potentially offer something on the house (not that I would ever be looking for a hand out) but at least to save some face. It was almost like they didn't care that people were hungry and frustrated. For a restaurant that charges $30 for a salad , you'd expect quality of service to come along with it. We've enjoyed the veal parm at this place but won't be going back. Shame. read more

What a disappointment! Mushy tasteless pasta served with cold tiny claims. Waiter suggested adding more grated cheese to enhance taste and did not offer a replacement dish. When the bill came I was prepared to pay without complaining. However , my wife stated her dissatisfaction at which time the waiter removed her serving from the total. The second I walked in the door we were greeted by the hostess, who is an absolute sweetheart. we were a party of eight, so I was waiting for my guests to arrive. We sat at the bar and had some cocktails which were amazing. This restaurant is immaculate and absolutely beautiful. They sat us in the back in round table which was the best seat in the house. We went to Paradiso last night for my wife's birthday. We had heard good things about it and thought it would be perfect for the special day. It certainly was! The restaurant is in a gorgeous facility with outstanding friendly service. The food was outstanding. The Espresso Martini was to die for. So good. My wife also enjoyed the wine she had with dinner. We had the Gamberoni Paradiso and Trittico di Pasta, which was a sampling of three of their pasta dishes. They were all delicious. For dessert I had the Tuttu Pistachio and my wife had the Tiramisu. The combination of pistachio cake, mouse and gelato was very good. The Tiramisu was the only disappointment of the evening. There are many ways to make it and this one just didn't do it for us. Heard so much about this restaurant that I bought a gift certificate at a silent auction months ago and used it for my wife's birthday. It wasn't what I expected. I had heard it's a large venue with tables close together so it gets loud but that wasn't a problem for our visit - we were the only table in the dining room when we arrived. The crowd doesn't show up pre season. A couple of loud people sat in the bar and may have been regulars based on the conversation. I had made reservations and explained we were celebrating a special occasion - upon arrival the host/waiter told us to sit anywhere. I said I had a reservation - no need? Booth or table? No mention of a special occasion. My wife loved the Caesar salad. I wish I had ordered the same - could have been the night - caprese salad wasn't fresh. My wife selected one of the chicken entrees but I'm always up for bolognese. Again my wife enjoyed her meal - the bolognese was way under par for this area. So not an experience that I'll repeat. Hey - bread is good! Parking is easy. Just not a place to celebrate. read more

we REALLY enjoyed our prix fixe dinner tonight! I started out with the zucchini blossom appetizer, which reminded me of how I enjoyed the same dish in Rome many years ago. Entre was a veal chop, half of which came home with me because it was SO huge. Dessert was a chocolate souffle with chocolate ice cream. My hubby had a caesar salad, 4 thick pistachio encrusted lamb chops followed by pistachio ice cream over pistachio cake. Our server, Julio, was helpful, funny and very attentive to our every need.
