Every visit is worse than the last. Every visit I swear *will* be the last. I just don't understand what is happening with this establishment and why it has to consistently be so dang terrible. But hey, I guess that tells you how good the food is. Even if you're missing half of it, even if it's wrong, you'll still come back every 6 months and say, "That was so delicious, but NEVER AGAIN." read more

Pollo Tropical - Chicken - Fast Food Near Me - Oviedo, Florida

Chicken was dry overcooked and very small portion. Needs improvement and not worth the money.

Don't go here if you want your order correct. Especially not the drive through. Unfortunately I would leave it at that if I could but I have to add this sentence to hit the character minimum. read more

Wow!!! Honestly I am impressed how simple, but so delicious food is here. This place definitely deserves a higher rating. Cashier took order and was so kind and patient with us. I don't eat cilantro and he suggested alternatives to my dish so I can enjoy without cilantro. Really good service, good food for a very good price, super delicious lemonade. My new favorite food for pre run day. read more

The company I work at provides lunch every Thursday for our employees, roughly 150 people. Last Thursday we ordered Pollo Tropical for both of our buildings from this particular store and they did a perfect job! Both orders were separated and ready to go when we walked in the door. There were no issues with the order whatsoever. It is worth leaving a review because this seldom happens. Pollo tropical was a hit with everyone! Great job Oviedo store! We'll be calling you guys for another order in another month or two! read more

To be honest, I usually always have a problem with my order at any location I go to. But I love the food so I keep coming back... My sister and I placed mobile orders and my pick up time was 5 mins before hers. When we got there, we were a little early so waited a bit. After about 10-15 minutes of waiting, at this point it was past my sister's pick up time so she asked an employee if our food would be on the shelf as soon as it's ready or if we needed to let them know we were there. She let us know that they try to time it so that it's hot and ready when people arrive. Employee checked and my sister's food was already done, even though she ordered after me? She ordered a churrasco steak platter but was missing sauce that it comes with. We waited an additional 5 minutes for my order to be finished and it was missing beans. I didn't feel like going back in for them because we had already been waiting awhile. Service is slow and not very attentive.. I always have to check my order before leaving the store. read more

Pollo Tropical - Large Create Your Own TropiChop- Bowl and Cheesy Yuca Bites - Fast Food Near Me - Oviedo, Florida

I am a fan of Pollo Tropical. For a fast food chain, they offer a better option than the normal fast food burger places that have long dominated the fast food culinary scene. They offer a Latin inspired menu centered around chicken. The sauces that Pollo Tropical offer make their food offerings even more incredible. Add to the good food that Pollo Tropical has, a bright inviting atmosphere and friendly staff and you have a winning combination. I would definitely recommend getting the chicken here. For fast food, it is pretty good and I think that it is worth mentioning that it is a bit more healthy than what the fast food burger places are offering. Pollo Tropical is definitely a great option if you are looking more of a fast food experience, but still want to have a good meal and something more substantial than a greasy burger and some french fries. Overall, I will give this particular Pollo Tropical five stars. read more

Luckily there was no line so no waiting, a good thing I thought. Since they always get my mashed potatoes order wrong, I decided to order brown rice instead. Silly me. The rice was so dry it was like it was still raw. I originally was a bit upset because my 2 orders of rice was only one container but now I see it as a good thing. This was horrible. At least the chicken was edible. read more

This restaurant in Oviedo is one of the nicer ones. Stopped for a quick lunch on a Sunday and luckily beat the rush. We ordered a few tropichop bowls, one with their vegan beyond meat picadillo, which a nice alternative for people not eating meat. They have a slew of plant-based toppings as well with their onions, peppers, corn, and tomatoes. On this visit, being sanitary was a priority, so the sauce bar was closed, but you could ask for whatever you needed. Also, they provided the cutlery, straws, and lids for your drinks. I did try and get a lid for my drink on the way out, but they were busy and I was unable to accomplish that task. Oh, they have chicken too! And other meats. If you have a mix of people that are herbivore/carnivore types, then this is a great stop. read more

While we're on the tropic of bad chicken, this was some of the worst I had anywhere. Some of the worst chicken I've had for my post workout snack, and it was dried out and it was expensive. Also, the people working here were extremely unfriendly and lacking hygiene. With such a bad experience, I expect my first experience of this chain could easily end up being my last. read more

Always something wrong. They are out of numerous sauces all the time. I recently joined the website. Today I received a BOGO offer. It required online ordering with a code supplied by them. I attempted to order several times. A message said that the code was invalid. So, I went to the store to ask for help. I was told that there was no bogo or codes and that I was in the wrong place. I asked to look at the code on my phone on the Pollo website. Wouldn't look. No further help was offered. I am a 2-3 times a week regular. Really weak situation. I gave three stars cuz I enjoy the food. read more

Great spot for lunch! We travel from Denver to visit and we stop here each time! Always good!

Absolutely terrible! I went to get their chicken soup which is advertised as having yuca,,plantains,,corn on the cob,,chicken,,pumpkin etc and it had nothing! Not even a piece of chicken!! Pure slop! I didn't receive the cilantro garlic sauce I asked for and was never thanked at the drive thru. I will never return and I feel so ripped off. Also,,the drive thru reeked of garbage smell which is completely unappetizing when placing a food order. Wow! Steer clear!! Pic attached. read more

This is a fantastic Pollo Tropical location. The food is yummy and cheap. This restaurant is clean, and staff are friendly. Many times you can get a free quarter chicken with rice and black beans for your next visit on the back of your receipt (just have to do a quick survey). The two of us end up eating for less than $10 each time. I would recommend the grilled chicken and fried yuca for sure. This location has brown rice, which I enjoy because it is a bit healthier. Give their different sauces a try. They even serve sangria and beer. Twice they were out of grilled chicken, which may be poor planning on their part, but I'm guessing that it's because the chicken is just so popular. read more

I visit this location quite often because I do like the food and it's convenient. However, once again, they have failed. I don't know what the problem is with her management. The place appeared to be fully staffed. Staff were crawling over one another and no one else was in the drive-through. I asked for the grill master special with red beans and white rice. Very specifically asked for red beans because I can't stand black beans. When I drove up to the window to pay, I knew there would be problems. The worker had that deadeye blank look on her face. I specifically asked her if she put my condiments that I had requested in the bag she looked at me and said yes, even though she had not put the chimichurri sauce in the bag. Once I got home and unpacked my dinner, it was immediately evident that I got black beans instead of red beans which I had requested specifically twice to have red beans. This is not a one off. This particular location cannot for the life of them get an order, correct and in the bag. Either they put the wrong sides in the order or they forget things. Or like in this case, the wrong kind of beans and left out one of the sauces I requested. I could understand this happening once in a while, but the restaurant was not busy. They were plenty of staff, they just can't get it right. I would suggest they take a look at management because obviously they aren't capable of training their crew. It's a shame because the food is good but just can't get it right. read more

I ordered a chicken tropichop. Got home and bit down on a piece of glass that was approximately 1" x 2" long and maybe 2 to 3 cm thick. Not making this up. I go right back to the restaurant where the manager KEISHLA calls the general manager comes back and tells me they didnt see any glass in the back. I was immediately upset. I didn't ask for a refund at that point ( I did later on) and I didn't ask for any coupons. I went there to let them know that I had a bit down on a piece of glass. The manager didn t even check the food on the back line to see if glass was muxed in. The general manager refused to provide her name, and told the manager to just to provide her name..great way to protect your employees ( sarcasm). I have made contact with corporate. Customers just check your food before you eat it. read more

First of all, when I walked in, there was only one other patron in the restaurant, that should've been a sign. Lol... I went to the counter, and there were only two cars in a drive-through, however, it took about four minutes before the cooks yelling at somebody, by the name of Maria to come to the front, I finally got somebody to take my order. She asked me if it was for her to go and I said it's gonna be for here. I looked on the menu. It said, it was one price for rice and beans, and one side and another price for rice and beans and two sides... So I said I'm gonna have rice and beans and my two sides are going to be... And she said well actually rice and beans are not considered two sides. I said really? When did that change? She said it's been like a month or so... I said so another words with the menu says it's not with the prices... She says yeah that's the IT people do that... I said oh well... She said, are you paying with cash or card? I said why? She said our machines down... We only taking cash right now... I had not gone to tropical for a while because every time I have gone over the last couple years I seem to have an unprofessional experience. However, today, between its extra for a drink, the menu price is not the same as what you're gonna pay, and their credit card machine is down... I told her ma'am, I think I'm gonna walk and I went down to Bishop barbecue and I'm having a delicious meal... I did look on yelp and saw that there's a very low rating so this makes sense...I probably go on yelp three or four times a year, however, this time was definite necessity, so somebody else is not put up with this very poor service... read more

Pollo Tropical originates from Miami. I grew up on this stuff in South Florida and it hasn't changed one bit over the years. The food is affordable, fast, and authentic. Not authentic in the sense that it represents one kind of food, such as Cuban or Jamaican, but in a way that blends Caribbean food together in a real way. If you wander on in, you'll notice that whole chicken is cut up and then cooked on the grill right in front of your eyes. If they are cutting corners, I haven't noticed it yet. My favorite pick: Small chicken Tropichop with everything on it except beans. I get those on the side ;-) read more
