Waited 10 mins at the register while employees passed by. Had to ask if anyone is taking orders before anyone came up to the front to start taking orders. Manager was Andy who passed right by me while I asked for help and didn't acknowledge any customers in line. read more

Something is always up with this place, from the long lines/wait in the drive through to the long waits inside as well. They never fail to poorly package my good.I ordered fried yuca and it was place upside down in the bag, it was scattered at the bottom of the bag. The sweet plantains flying off the little paper holder it's in "wrapped" with foil on top. They said they were out of cilantro garlic sauce but I ordered a wrapped that had cilantro garlic in it. Seems to me that someone didn't want to package more cilantro garlic. You can tell the people working there don't want to be there. The attitude they give , the closing of the drive through window as we are asking for stuff. Horrible and if you decide to go inside it's either closed or it's opened and the floor is disgustingly Recently we went again and the beans spilled all over my husbands truck. 2 sides of beans we ordered all over the place and when I tried calling the restaurant so I can get our money back no one would answer the phone :( read more

I've grown up going to Pollo Tropical. This location leaves just about everything to be desired. Customer service is non existent. The quality of food is never consistent. Today was the last straw. Nasty attitude from the drive thru server and incomplete meals. Unfortunately, this is the only location on this side of the Bay. read more

I would give ZERO stars if I could. The management here is AWFUL , the staff could careless about your order. Every time I have gone here my order is always messed up and I am given a nasty attitude for asking for the food I ordered!!!!! I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt but forget it I will never spend money here again. It is DIRTY and the customer service is terrible!! EW don't come here, don't waste your money. You'll literally waste your money because they will mess up your order and argue with you about fixing it. read more

The past 3 times I've ordered from this location, my order has been WRONG. Why am I going to pay extra for certain items to then get the regular tropichops? I ordered an Avocado Cilantro tropichop & got yellow rice black beans and chicken... My kids meals were supposed to be mashed potato's w chicken, they ended up with WHITE RICE, black beans.... This location needs to get it together. We paid an extra $11 for everything we wanted added or made differently to just get it how they wanted to put it together. They close in 15 min, and I'm a 20 min drive away. Otherwise, I'd be going myself to complain. Ridiculous! read more

We saw a very appetizing ad on TV so we thought we'd give it a 2nd try. We walked in to an overflowing trash can and dirty floor at the front door. As we placed our order, the crew wasn't sure what exactly they were doing and were being publicly fussed at by a loud and fussy manager figure. The women's restroom had not had attention for hours, as the tile floor was wet and slippery, and the toilet I flushed. There were hand towels and toilet tissue all over the floor. We had a hard time finding a clean table. The food was ok- I could've made it at home but didn't have to do that was good. I think we'll pass next time. read more

Just placed a 175$ order to be ready at 7:30 pm. I initially placed the online order at 1:30 pm. Show up at 7:40 pm, staff doesn't know where the order is. Finally someone says "oh someone picked it up already", so apparently no one checked to see the name of the person picking up the order. We were then told we have to wait 30-45 min wait. Called corporate immediately. I usually spend 200-300$ a week on office catering parties.....WILL NEVER ORDER A CHICKEN WING FROM POLLO TROPICAL UNLESS CUSTOMER SERVICE FIXES AN ISSUE. read more

I ordered takeout from here a couple weeks ago. I went through the drivethru! I ordered a crispy chicken bowl for myself and a grilled chicken sandwich for my friend. My bowl was good! Yummy really! Halfway home, I realized that our drinks were not given to us. It was really disappointing but I was too tired to drive back and get them. The fried yuca is so so so good! The fried plantains should be sliced thinner in my opinion. At least slice the size they already are into twos! Much better for the size of our mouths and overall enjoyment of the food. My friends sandwich was dry and not fresh. She was disappointed but really like the yuca. read more

Very disappointed with the service at this location in Brandon. I gave 1 star just because the food was really good but the service was awful. First, the order online was late for 40 mins and then I waited inside the location looking at all employees laughing and talking on top of the food without mask. They were using gloves Yes, but NO mask. There were about 10 people talking, laughing, walking around and it seemed that nothing was moving because the line was long. I just wanted to try this food but no thanks, no more... read more

I'm revising my Review and I'm very disappointed from the service I receive when I found out that part of my order was missing and when I go to pick it up and the lady that working in counters was supper rude and very not nice, when I try to make a new order to my kids and I start to talk to here she turns her back to me and walks away. What a shame I really love the food there but one not happy person can ruin everything and in this case the restaurant is the loosing read more

What a disappointment! Ordered via door dash and this is what was delivered. Burned chicken is unacceptable! Also the tropichop had wilted lettuce. Tried calling the restaurant and couldn't get through. Will never get food at this Pollo Tropical in Brandon, FL Wish I can give them zero stars. read more

This is a constant problem with the boneless meal. One chicken breast is tender and tasty, the other is over cooked and inedible. That should have gone in the trash! Everyone likes the charred flavor of grilled meat, but there is such a thing as too much. Exhibit A in the picture. If you cannot serve 2 edible chicken breasts in a boneless meal, reduce the price and serve only one. read more

Pollo Tropical - How is it acceptable to serve a chicken breast like that? - Latin American Near Me - Brandon, Florida

good chicken even though, as everyone else has mentioned in every review for this place, the inside is pretty fuckin filthy. I stick with the Tropi-chop, which is a big bowl filled with stuff. On the little counter you can load it up with sauces and jalapenos and a few other toppings. I'm told the other stuff here is pretty good. The kids meals are a good value too, if you've got a little one. Get the yucca - boiled or fried, they do good yucca here. Mango iced tea is good too. I've never been disappointed with the food. But yeah, wipe down the tables every few days y'all. read more

Two times at 9pm there was no dark meat available? Why so being that I was hungry on break I ordered the bowl no toppings available either except for onions and the chicken breast was so dry guess I won't be stopping there anymore read more

Horrible. Paid twenty something dollars for two kids meals and one grilled chicken breast meal and got crumbs of rice and no beans for any of them. On top of that we had to wait 15/20 min for chicken. Never again! Pollo tropical has gone to shit. read more

Cashier was very nice, the rice and beans were decent but the chicken was burned. We need to clean our table as all the tables were dirty. There was an employee for that matter but he waited untill he saw us cleaning to do his job. Not needed anymore. read more

My on-line order was not even started when I got there 5 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. I ordered an all dark meat platter...which now oddly includes breast meat? I also ordered a pulled pork bowl with "all of the fixin's"...which oddly does not include the optional black beans. The side sauces that they offer were on the order but nowhere to be found in our bag. But hey...at least the chicken was cooked. Probably my last try with them for a while...will watch to see if their reviews improve. read more

Love me Spanish food & Not just because I'm Puerto Rican either. Come here for a tasty meal for lunch or dit

I ordered the grill master trio and everything I ordered was delicious. The service was excellent the cashier was very helpful and nice.

I ordered 3 meals as I started to eat my meal my daughter screamed for us to eat the food. She found a roach crawling around her chicken. When I returned the food, the manager did not seem shocked by what she saw. I will never return. read more

When to comes to fast food you can't beat Pollo Tropical. This place exceeds all expectations when in comparison to other fast food. The only downfall here is that finding a clean table was a chore. They have one guy constantly bringing out meals as quick as he can and where there's other guests here there's no time to clean tables. Make that happen and this place would be clean and have good fast food. Still, if you are in the market for a quick meal, without having to spend much money and still find healthy options, you came to the right place. Try the chicken fajitas or rib lets and don't forget the mango sweet tea! read more

Very good. Fresh product. Get a chicken and avocado salad. Or a chicken cuban sandwich. Do not order a large chicken rice lettuce salad. Too much to eat. We each took home a 1/2 of what we ordered. read more

Extremely disappointed in the drive thru service at this location. I ordered a Tropical Trio with white rice and beans and boiled yuca. I also ordered the Mojo Pork platter with yellow rice and beans. After paying at the window, we waited a few minutes for our order but it wasn't ready so we were asked to pull up and wait by the stop sign. I didn't have an issue with this at all since I figured I would be getting a fresh order. When our food was brought out to us the person reiterated the order, I said thank you and drove off. That was my mistake in not checking the bag. When I got home the ordered was missing items which is super upsetting when you are starving. The Trio was missing the boiled yuca and the mojo pork. The mojo pork platter was filled with onions and oil and only had fatty pieces of the pork. This was completely inedible. Considering how long it took to get our meal I expected the correct items to be in the bag. I live 25 minutes away if not I would have gone back. This is the first time visiting this location and it will probably be our last. read more

My experience at this pollo location was great. The food came out exactly as ordered and the customer service was excellent. Unfortunately I came at closing time so I missed a few sauce selections but Layla made sure to give me everything else I need. Thank you Layla keep up the good work and even better customer service. read more

Horrible food service 15 to get a refill and didn't have all the sauces they normally do bad location

This location is honestly always a bad experience. If it wasn't the closest to my house I'd never go here anymore, There's a girl in the drive through named destiny and she seems to always hate her job. I've reached out to the gm of the store before and he didn't seem to care. I worked at this location 7/8 years ago and it's definitely gone down hill customer service wise. I would never recommend this location. read more

It's too bad they can't get management in to overhaul this restaurant. The food is decent for fast food. Everything else needs work. The restaurant needs employees that provide good customer service, as well as quality control checks. I'm sure the restaurant suffers in lost revenue due to human error with orders. I don't know if all Pollo Tropical locations are this way, but this one is in desperate need of policies, procedures, and employee training to ensure consistent and timely orders. read more

I have been to many good pollos but this one needs some support. The place is filthy, there was no cilantro sauce? The orders take forever. I have never seen such a dysfunctional restaurant in my life. I know it's fast food but just have the few items you sell. Hire more people. The place is absolutely filthy. Worse than any fast food place I have ever seen. I left with no food. Disgusted. Terrible. You should be embarrassed. read more

I left a review on this establishment on May 13, 2022. I was contacted by Customer service by email asking me to call their number so they can right the wrong. I've been trying unsuccessfully to contact the agent who sent the email. I've left several messages to no avail. Pollo Tropical owes me a refund for the food I didn't receive. Only because I can't leave them negative stars. I was there a couple of weeks ago and ordered through the all for a curbside. Waited in my car for 15 minutes. Nothing so I went in. The guy at the front said they are working on it. I waited. 45 minutes later I ask what's going on. He asked the boss boss said it's sitting right in the front. It had been sitting there since I got there! He STILL waits another 20 minutes to try and give it to me. I said no it's cold by now. I need that re fired or my money back. The boss has a nasty attitude says he wouldn't do that and they don't give refunds on mobile orders than proceeds to ignore me till I stormed out. I then called support and told them and I was told I'd get a refund. 2 weeks later and NOTHING. Never go here. Management is a joke and good luck getting service read more

This happened weeks back. Staff in the drive through lane was in LaLa land and was rude for no reason.

they deserve no stars. this the the worst pollo tropical I've ever been too. They always have attitude, ALWAYS forget everything. Do not come here!! Where has the quality gone! When they first opened the food was great but now it's down right awful. I'm talking dry chicken breast that's bitter from too much of a char. The corn soufflé used to be my favorite thing on the menu. It was sweet, fluffy, moist and delicious. Now they're dishing out this dry, crumble or something I have no idea what it is! They've changed their portions too, a typical to go container has one large area with two smaller ones. Before the large area was filled with rice and on top was your meat with the sides in two branded containers. Well don't expect that nowadays. You're charged more and getting less and the quality isn't even the same. Basically this is a long winded pink slip! Adios Pollo Tropical! read more
