You go here for the chicken and the green sauce. I've never ordered anything else here. Blows away all regular rotisserie chicken like Boston Market. Plus they sprinkle crack inside that green sauce. What a huge let down. The only thing good about this place was the girl working behind the counter and the salsa. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Either way I was very unhappy. So to start with the good things, the girl behind the counter was very friendly and patient. They have a salsa bar full of a variety of options. I got 3 different mild salsas and they were all equally delicious but not equally mild. Not an issue for me. But be warned if you have a toddler that likes to dip chips. The chips are at your own dispense- which I thought was pretty cool. Only downfall is they are SUPER SUPER hard. They food may have been good if it wasn't room temperature. My flautas were still soft in places, the meat had zero flavor. The beans were.... room temperature... and the rice would probably have been good in flavor if it wasn't for the fact that they were cold. My daughter got the quesadilla plate and took 2 bites and was over it. Maybe it was just her being a stubborn toddler but she normally can eat as much as me. Overall, I'm not impressed. I've been looking forward to coming to this place for a while for flautas- my favorite and was so disappointed. I can see myself coming here sometime in the future to try the chicken dinner??? When ever I go to Mexico, hungrily I look for a place that sells pollos asados (chicken cooked over charcoal). Roast it over charcoal and you will discover the most delicious bird you've ever had! It's been non-existent here in the States until only a few years ago and this is my favorite one. I am reviewing the Pollo Regio location in Oak Cliff, but this is a franchise. I have not found a bad one yet. They all vary in size and location, but all have the same consistent taste and flavor. They have several combos, but the thing you really want is the whole or half chicken meals. At $7.99 for half a bird, it's a cheap feast! It comes complete with corn tortillas, frijoes borrachos (beans cooked with pork, bacon, onion, cilantro and a bit of beer), rice, cooked onion and lime. BEST OF ALL is the delicious green salsa! I am not kidding about this! Get the green salsa! Some places try to give you the red salsa but say NO, you only want the green one. It's seems to be a cream/avocado based salsa. This is the kind of salsa that is HOT but oh so good at the very same time. You will be sweating, with eyes watering, and enjoying a total foodgasm! GET THE GREEN SALSA!!! read more

Me and my co-worker ordered the Syberia tostada cause I had mentioned to her how delicious it was. And we did a take out order and when I got back to my office I was not a happy camper. The tostada was stale and the avocado had celery in it. I had never ever experienced this at a Pollo Regio before. I was like the spring valley location was always good and everything was fresh. the spring valley location employees are the best very generous and kind and very clean. I called the 2716 W. Davis location back to tell them about my lunch that it was nasty and stale. They offered to give another one. I told them that I didn't want to go back cause there Syberia tostada was the same as the other Pollo Regio's I have eaten at. So she told me that in order to get my money back I would have had to show my receipt, but who keeps there receipts after ordering lunch. So I told a young lady to have the manager call me and they never returned my phone call back. I have never experienced this kind of customer service from a little local restaurant that I really liked. I will not recommend anyone to this location again ever. They are so ghetto and unprofessional there. Employees smacking there gum in front of customers and on there cell phones. What kind of customer service was this. Just cause your in the Oak Cliff location don't mean you have to act all ghetto and unprofessional. And I didn't know that the Pollo Regio's made there food different from others.
