I'm finally leaving a review after knowing the owner for literally over 25 years when he was a nail tech himself, at a local salon before opening three of the most beautiful, exceptionally clean salons of his own on the west side of town. I am seriously picky when it comes to my nails. I have very long nails and always have. I have used many of his nail techs but Dylan is my favorite. In my opinion, it's best to stick to one person... That way it's consistent and they learn exactly how you like them done. It's best to always make appointments and not just walk in. The quality of my nails are superb, I receive many compliments on them and I don't mind paying for that. This is a great salon with quality products and terrific customer service. The nail techs aren't always incredibly friendly but they do consistent work. I only do pedicures and manicures so I can't speak to other services. I have been going for a long time and there haven't been any price hikes so that is nice. I usually make an appointment but they've definitely gotten me in quickly any time I've gone for a walk in. I enjoy the music they play and that they have the same calming type of ambience on their tv screens that I play at home. It adds to the relaxation. Visited this place recently for a girls out. We got a Pedi and Mani done here. A decent spot, and the staff was friendly. I enjoy getting Pedicure because of the massage part involved in it. But I was quite disappointed here as it wasn't up to what I received in other places. I went there with my sister and got a manicure and absolutely hated it. To start with I know my requested nails were kinda strange I was wanting IWTV inspired nails for Halloween. The woman (I don't know her name it started with a C) was rough with my hands and generally unpleasant, when I said I didn't like the color she was putting on and asked her to stop she didn't. I went home and spent the day hating my nails and called the next day. The next day was fanatic, they fixed my nails, and made sure I was happy with them without charge (though it was just a file down and curing again). This time they were much more friendly. Terrible. My nails are all totally uneven, different shapes and lengths. The lady told me I couldn't do tips because they'll lift. Told me I shouldn't do rounded because they'll lift. Then when she saw I wasn't happy because they are all totally uneven and shaped differently, she said it was because it took her "too long" to take off the old dip. Which is inaccurate. This used to be my go to nail salon. Holly and Angela were my absolutely favorite. Unfortunately it looks as if they moved on from the company. I got my nails done last Friday , it's been only 7 days and in less time three have already broke off which have never occurred before. The tech also had to go back per my request as the nails were uneven and she tried to fix it but it was around closing time and didn't really fix it to where it needed to be. The work was not worth the $55 when it looked like it did and now with two nails broken in a span of one week. More than likely will need to be searching for a new salon as the quality of the work feels to have gone down and I have tried multiple techs. read more

I have been coming to The Polish Room since they opened the doors with different owners and remained since there was a nice investment made to upgrade areas and they provided a great service. Sunday I had a SNS done that was absolutely the worst. It was more expensive than I normally pay here and by Monday I had one nail lift and chip. I'm traveling of if I would have been back on Monday for a redo as 3 other nails are starting to lift and this morning the polish chipped on a 4th nail. I have never had this happen ever.....always can go 3 weeks and have beautiful nails. I'm not certain I will go back if this is the new experience. At this point since I've traveled all week, I will have to pay to have completely redone, so I'm thinking it may be time to find another place that will take the time to do it right. read more

I found this via yelp, and I haven't noticed it before even though I go to that corner often! I came in a few minutes before they opened on Saturday, and they were already busy. Fortunately, I only needed a manicure so I got sat quickly. The first impression was that the place looks really fresh and clean. The woman that checked me in was friendly. However, I can't say about the nail tech that did my nails. She finished in approx 20 minutes and didn't talk much the entire time besides asking me how I wanted it shaped and to wash my hands at the sink. I was alright with this because I had just woken up and don't love small talk typically, but I kind of wanted her to ask me what plans I had going on! The reason why it's not a 4 star is because I had to tell her to re-touch several nails because she had missed a millimeter on the sides. I appreciated the quickness, but not to sacrifice a good job. The owner, Ben, told me once that they could do anything I asked for with my gel manicure and so far that's been true! They tease me for always going with "Barbie pink" but I've had them do some ombré and some different twists on French tips and they always do a great job. Happy customer! They had a recent remodel and the interior is very comfortable and pretty. The owner, manager, and staff are all great at what they do and I've never had a huge wait, even without an appointment. I wish they'd occasionally have Yelp deals because they definitely are not cheap but I guess you get what you pay for, right? My gel typically lasts two weeks when I go here. There was only once where it lasted a week and my last manicure actually lasted more than 3 weeks. I love to support local businesses as well, so I'll be back here again! read more

I have been coming to the Polish Room for over 10 years starting at Polish Room one then three and then two. Sadly, there are a few good technicians but the majority really do not have a good attitude and do not listen to what their clients want. Yesterday was the last time I will be going to the Polish Room. I had a gel polish done, and the technician was extremely rude and a very bad mood did not listen to me even though I was trying to make friendly conversation she was extremely rude but the worst part is she did a very bad job on my nails And did not want to listen to anything I was saying to her. Their prices keep going up, which I was willing to pay because I am a loyal customer. I even send my daughters here from time to time and pay quite a bit of money at the salons. This place is great. In error I made my appointment at another location, they said no problem, and I was helped right away. I was there at 9 am right when it opened, and it was packed! I can't believe this place stays this busy if it is so crummy, per other reviews. Anyway, I was with Helen and she gave me a perfect gel manicure. I always love having my nails done here and they all do an AMAZING job. I highly recommend the Polish Room. I've recently started getting SNS nails instead of the gel nails. I find that they last much longer and they are thinner. I would think that since they are thin that they would break or chip off easier but that isn't the case. I get them to last at least 3 weeks (and I am extremely hard on my nails). Worth the extra cost! Beautiful designs too! I am so indecisive about what design to get so I just let them know what colors I like and then let them create a design. So I never know what I'm going to get but I always leave loving my nails and get tons of compliments! I do suggest that you make an appointment since this is a large and very busy salon. I know they will do their best to accommodate walk ins but if you want to save yourself the wait time then you should book an appointment. read more

Originally Julie's nails years ago, the staff is still the same and they treat the three of us with the best service & nails are always the best quality. I went here after going crazy finding myself a reasonable place that does quality nail art. A friend recommended it, so I took the chance in driving 20 minutes from my place. The girls at the front told me to find anything on Pinterest that I liked and I did... and the final result was amazing. So, so pumped. I was assigned to Tao. I was so impressed with his ability to just see a pic and know how to do it with SNS so quickly. The cost came for $65 and took about 70 minutes. Will def come here again. This was a pretty bad experience overall. My daughter went in for a full set and I went for a pedicure. The prices of their services are significantly higher than other salons in the area. We tried to use a coupon for services but were told that they weren't allowed on Friday's. (Small print apparently) We were both rushed out before our nails were dry and the polish on one of my daughters nails was ruined. The staff were not friendly. There was a sense of arrogance in this salon that I don't care to experience again. With nail salons popping up everywhere you can definitely find a friendlier salon and a better value. read more

I have visited the original shop for almost ten years and never really had an issue until today. I called and made an appointment for a pedi at five and was just a few minutes late (4) because there is very little parking in the area. I was put in a chair and there I sat for 35 minutes while my water got cold and they continued taking walk-ins. I really felt that no one wanted to do my service..it was a bummer and I won't be back. The owner did offer me a free polish change but I desperately needed a pedi and had looked forward to it! There are many places to choose from and I will have to find a new nail salon. read more
