We have been staying in a hotel for 12 days. This place was recommended to us by the hotel staff and both times we ordered it the food arrived fast, hot, exactly how we ordered it, and the pricing was cheap! Pizza is not good for the area not in general. I don't think that we should rate pizza by the area. Good Pizza is good pizza no matter where we are. This pizza is not all that great. The place inside is not all that great either. I would not recommend eaten by inside m. I also don't recommend this pizza. Perhaps I'm just used to Sicilian Pizza from NY & Central Jersey. This is the nearest pizza place to my house so I order here a lot. It is reasonably good for dover. It's dirty inside and not a lot of space to work in. I advise the bacon pizza or pizza fries. They are DELICIOUS. Give them a try!! read more

So we ordered food for my family and close to 2 hours later we call to find out why it's been late. The female receptionist today at 2 pm at the Cheswold Polisenos said we are now on the Do not deliver list because we called them. What?????????? Classy work there.. read more

I accidentally called the wrong polisenos and they made contact with me saying everything was good to go and they put my order in with the correct store and it'll be on the original time. it was about 20 minutes passed the original so I called them for the correct stores number. then I called them they said they tried to make contact with me which I don't believe because the other store did make contact with me with the number they said they had. then they told me the order would take about 30 minutes to get to my house and needless to say I originally ordered around 8pm and it's 1030 and the food just got here. it took 2.5 hours to get one order. there only getting 2 stars since the food is really good but this was by far the worst customer service I had from any store/restaurant in a long time read more

This was the WORST food I have veer put in my mouth. The fries were SALTY and soggy and I had ordered like 5 minutes ago. The Italian sub was a joke. The salami was hard and uneatable. The sub roll was hard and uneatable. Just a waste of my hour lunch. The best part of the meal was the cold drink. I ordered a "special"; large sub, fries and drink for $8.50. I decided I wouldn't be able to eat a large sub and asked for a small instead. They charged me $7.95. Some "special." I complained about my fries and they took them back and put the fries I spit out right back in the oil. Disgusting and dirty to say the least. Steer very clear of this place. Absolutely terrible I ordered from here for the first time tonight and it will be the last time. I wanted pizza fries and they sent me cheddar fries. After having me wait for over an hour. When I called back to get an explanation and what I ordered the man with a foreign accent was the rudest human being on the planet. i just ordered a large plain cheese pizza the crust is thin too thin for all the cheese they put on it and its very greasy not the first time ive had this type of pizza from them now i remember why i stopped ordering from here for a while, id rather have romanos or even papa johns anyday. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!!! I used to be a very loyal customer to polisenos restaurant. Recently their customer service has been very very bad. My daughter had an incident with the older blonde where she basically mumbled something about my daughter being hostile about correcting her a menu price. Tonight I had an incident as well with the same blonde. They gave me the wrong order after I waited for the order in the restaurant. I drove home and found the order was incorrect. I returned to the restaurant and they seem to think that it was funny. I guess I was supposed to wait another 10 or 15 more minutes for them complete my order again. I did not get an apology until after I complained about the service. At that point I just requested my money back and will speak to the manager or owner at a later date. Don't expect Stellar service especially if you get the blonde that works there she is rude and arrogant. I doubt that I will ever order anything from polisenos again unless she has been removed from the restaurant. read more

We eat here weekly, and although there is sometimes an off order that would only get 3 stars, usually it is 4 and sometimes 5. Being from northern Jersey I can say this is the best pizza I have gotten in Delaware. My daughter always get chicken fingers, and has never had a bad batch. And it is actual chicken, not pressed, although it is fried from frozen and not homemade, it is quite good. The fries I would pass on since this one table place is really for take out or delivery, but then again who expects good fries after being in a car for 15 mins? So platters are a waste, cold fried and a tiny side salad. Opt for just the sammie .Oh, and they have rocking cheese steaks too. I cannot say anything about their "dinners" since I have never ordered them. read more

Last night I placed an order for a large cheese pizza, two orders of fries, and a cheese sandwich. The total bill was 18.45, and I planned on paying in cash. The delivery got here relatively fast, but apparently the delivery guy needed a refresher course on how to properly interact with customers and do his job to make sure the right food went to the right customer. First off, when handed a twenty dollar bill with forty-five cents, he asked would you like change, to which I answered yes. Then he asked "do you want all of it back?" um, I am not sure if that's how people ask for a tip nowadays, but even if the change is two dollars, you give that customer their change and they will decide to tip you or not. Second, when he handed us the food, it was our pizza and one, small brown paper bag and said it was all our food. Sorry, but two orders of fries and a sandwich could not possibly fit inside one tiny bag. So, like anyone would, I opened the bag to find one bag of fries (imagine that!). So my brother and I stopped him before he could leave the doorstep and told him we were missing the sandwich and another set of fries. He spouted off something that a delivery guy came through here before and orders were mixed up, but honestly I only cared about my order and making sure it was right, especially after I paid for it. Needless to say, he got the rest of my food out of his truck and went on his merry way, but the dissatisfaction did not end there. Upon opening the pizza box, I saw that the cheese on the pizza had slid and moved together in such a way that it didn't even look appetizing. I have had problems with this establishment in the past, but I continued to be a customer because I had more positives than negatives, but this encounter has finally turned me off from this place for a good, long while.
