HUGE FAN. Probably one of the best and cheapest poke places in Anaheim area. There aren't a lot of poke places that offer a "medium base" for around $10.75, but PokiNometry does! My bf and I usually get the medium which offers your choice of 3 proteins (add $3 and you can do 5 proteins instead). What I also really like about this place is that first scoop of crabmeat, seaweed salad, and avocado are all complimentary. Now that's awesome. First getting here, I think parking can potentially be very annoying since it's only street parking, but it's at least 30 minutes to park on the side. After I parked, I walked inside the restaurant and I really appreciate that they're taking covid seriously since they enforced social distancing, wear gloves and face shields, provide sanitizers, and etc. Ordering was a breeze. Their menu is pretty small and limited. I ordered a small, and I was surprised how small it actually was for $9. I should've ordered a medium tbh but I thought maybe I shouldn't eat too much cause portion control y'know? So I went with a small, they jam packed everything into that tiny bowl and I was kind of afraid that this $9 bowl is not worth the size. Eating this, my god, this is probably the freshest poke I ever had LOL. So okay, they probably charge more because of how fresh their ingredients are and I respect that. I wish I gotten a medium, and also kind of regret getting a mild spicy because it really is SPICYYY. Ordered 3 small bowls thur yelp (Grubhub). A small is $10.50. I asked on the special order instructions to have the bowl 1/2 brown rice and 1/2 salad, as well as sauce on side. I then called after to make sure this would be done. The server on the phone Gordo Jonny said "no, it is only offered with their medium bowl." So then I said, "can you make me mediums then and I'll pay the difference." Gordo replies, "no that can't be done because our prices are different in store than online." The difference would've been $9.00 extra. Which I was willing to pay. So since he didn't know how to do it, I called Grubhub to have the order cancelled and now have to wait 3-5 business days for a refund. When I went to pick up my order they were stacked in a small plastic bag with sides of sauce & wasabi, not packaged friendly. I paid and Gordo stated, "it's better to just come in & order or phone order." No, it actually isn't during a Pandemic. I would rather order online & have everything paid for, so I can just walk in get my order & walk out. There was about 4 workers and 5 people ordering. Now the quality of the food. It was not what I expected. The fish wasn't fresh & you can tell not of good quality. I barely had any salad or brown rice. It was missing avocado even though I ordered it. The other two bowls had two sides of wasabi in the bowl as well as a side package. Not what I ordered. A Medium is $10.75. So wasn't worth the $34.75 I paid. Something I suggest is to make it known you can't substitute rice for salad. That you will only do it with a medium bowl! Also try being more professional on the phone and nicer to your customers. Over and done with this place now because food is actually pretty good, but service and experience is no longer tolerable. We had a service dog with us and told the guy working there after he said we can't have dogs in there. When I asked if it is ok just so we can be considerate and polite of their rules, he decides to completely ignore us and stay silent. So I asked again by saying, "excuse me, so is it okay"? He said, "well you already made up your own mind so I'll be with you in a moment"! I've never been so taken back with the rudeness and inconsiderate behavior with this fool. Best part is the restaurant was empty, we've done this before where we always make sure they're okay with us going in and ordering first, and we have NEVER even eaten there inside...it was ALWAYS for a quick to-go. Sad that food here is actually pretty good, but excited to at least try other Poke spots since this has been the only one we have tried since moving down here to Anaheim. Lawyer says we can actually pursue this further because of discrimination, but decided to just let it go and post this here. Went in to get food after having a long day of work, when I walked in to order my food, there was a person in front of me being helped out. After they left no one decided to help me out. I had to literally ask them to assist me. Horrible customer service. I will definitely not return to this establishment nor recommend anyone here. The poke here is fresh and the staff is very nice and helpful. It's convenient for a quick grab-and-go. The artwork in the restaurant is really nice as well. I like the octopus painting. This is one of my favorite places for poke. They have a lot of fresh fish selection. The service is decent and there's always plenty of seating when we go. They have different stations where you order what you want for your bowl. My go to bowl is a medium half white rice and half salad. A medium bowl always leaves me filling full and they give you the option of choosing 3 types of fish. If you love poke, than this place is a must! My only complaint would be the restrooms because even now it's a hit or miss as to when they're open and closed for everyone. There's usually a sign outside the restroom door. The parking on a weekend around this area can get crazy as well so try avoiding the evening hours. read more

Finally, a decent poke bowl place. Haven't gone to one since Pokeworks started upcharging and slathering their bowls in way too much sauce which turned me off to the whole thing. But, hubby wanted to try this place so we stopped by after a day at Disneyland. The service is relatively efficient albeit not very warm or friendly. One person was the cashier and another was cleaning the restaurant and neither of them greeted people waiting in line or apologized for a wait due to a picky individual who was picking up a to-go order. It was strange that the girl cleaning the restaurant didn't even try to help the cashier with the orders. The bowl itself was fine and we also ordered some sushi rolls which were smaller than I expected. I would skip the rolls and only come here for the bowls. My medium poke bowl- mediocre at best No seaweed salad and the imitation crab was icy cold- ruined the whole thing For the $28 I excepted a better dinner. Not happy with the quality. How the heck have I not reviewed this place??? I live close by and my son plays hockey at the Rinks so we find ourselves coming in here to grab dinner on Friday nights. This place is awesome and the price-to-food ratio is a real value. You get quality good food for a decent price. This place has been reviewed quite a bit so I will keep it short. This is one of my 8-year-old favorite spots and he would rather go here than McDonalds. My order always rotates depending on what they have as sometimes they are out of things. I like to get spicy tuna, albacore, octopus, or yellowtail. I always go with the two items and pack with all the goods like ginger, spicy mayo, sesame seeds, and sometimes even crushed-up won-ton chips. My son devours a salmon and octopus bowl, I swear he could eat a large one. I have not had a bad run here, I know that some reviews have a hit or miss on the service but I have yet to have that experience. I guess some days are better than others at PokiNometry. I will say poke places are pretty abundant in the OC but I love living close to what I think is one of the best ones around. Grab those chopsticks and a boat load of wasabi and dig in. 6 years later I have returned and it is still just as good!!! Prices appear to the same as well!!! I got a medium ($10.95), I wanted to get something light before I had a heavy dinner to attend later. For the small you can pick one protein, medium - 2 proteins, and large was 3 proteins I believe. For my bowl I got salad with seaweed salad and avocado with salmon/yellowtail and spicy mayo sauce (it had a kick YUM). I also got masago (fish egg) and wasabi on my bowl. It is basically chipotle style and you can mix/match to pick what you want in your bowl. Fish is fresh and delicious!!!! Would def come back! There is street parking nearby. This review is purely for the horrible attitude and lack of customer service from the employees. Boyfriend and I have been regulars here for at least 10 years and unfortunately have watched the service go down while the food remained consistently good. I understand people can have bad days, but these specific employees have terrible attitudes every single time we come in. Walked in around 2:45pm, no customers in line. The chubby dude and Hispanic girl with pencil eyebrows were chatting behind the counter. We were clearly interrupting their conversation, because chubby dude turns around to slam down some trays on the glass & ask us what we want. He then proceeds to fling the scoops of rice, fish, and toppings into our bowls. Pencil brows did the same at the end of the line. Asked her for a side of fried onion and instead she dumps it all over the top of my bowl. Not a huge deal had she at least been apologetic about it. We paid and left. My boyfriend wanted to go back and have them remake my bowl but I'd rather eat a poorly made one than one with spit in it. If you clearly don't want to be there, don't work! Pokinometry is my all time favorite poké spot, and for a number of reasons! They have the nicest staff, fresh fish, and the perfect toppings and sauce to compliment their poké bowls. The store is big/spacious and before COVID, my friends and I really enjoyed dining in and soaking in the restaurant's chill ambience, admiring the cool artwork they have all around the store. There is no parking lot from what I know, but they still have plenty of curbside parking, which is good enough for me. I ordered my usual, but instead upgraded to a large (instead of a small) to share with my boyfriend. We got 5 scoops with 3 salmon, 1 tuna, and 1 albacore. We always get eel sauce and spicy mayo for the sauces, you can definitely never go wrong with those two. And as for toppings, we just ask for everything! Overall, Pokinometry is an all around great restaurant and there's a reason why it is number one on my go-to list for poké! read more

Nice poke spot! One of the first poke places I ever tried back in the day. The fish is fresh and the sauce options are decent. The serving size is pretty generous and filling with the small size. They don't have a lot of 'premium' toppings in terms of veggies and what not but it's a simple poke place. I do agree with other reviewers that the staff blatantly has conversations with each other while helping customers or are using their phones. Can put people off in terms of customer service. They use cold sushi rice for the white rice. I like to get half white rice, half fried won ton chips with spicy mayo sauce. Service was attentive and quick. So delish and don't skimp out on anything which is great. Quick and easy service but I wasn't a fan of the two guys using the same gloves they used to put things in our bowls that they used to touch an iPad and other things that shouldn't have been used when serving or touching the food. That's one of the most important food handler rules lol My friend who was ordering ahead of me asked for extra seaweed but didn't know they charged an additional fee for it, so the guy put more in her bowl and then said it was gonna cost $1.50 *after* lmao. I think you're supposed to tell us before putting it in the bowl so the customer has a choice on whether or not they would like to pay extra for anything. They also charged me an extra $1.50 for an extra scoop of seaweed even though I didn't ask for it but I didn't care enough to say anything at the moment because if they're doing that, then maybe they need the money more than I do so I let them have it. The fish seemed fresh, the sauces and flavor were definitely there, and generous portions were very much appreciated! It would just be nice if the guys who worked there were more mindful of what they're touching with their food serving gloves and what they're charging people for. read more

After having a carnivore and seafood fare for the pass few weeks, we wanted something light. I've driven past here a few times on Harbor Blvd. You can't miss it on the corner of block. There is street parking available. When we arrived, there was only one customer in line. It was a breeze getting our poke bowl. First, you select the base which are sushi rice brown or white, salad, chips, harusame, or wrap. You can even do half/half. The options are size: S (2 scoops of protein), M (3 scoops) and L (5 scoops). There are a good selection: salmon, tuna, scallop, yellowtail, shrimp, albacore, spicy tuna, and octopus. They offer a variety toppings: avocado (no extra charge), crab salad, seaweed salad, cucumber, jalapenos, white onions, green onions, fried onions, fried wontons, masago, wasabi, ginger, sesame and furikake. There are 2 sauces options Original (Mild, medium, or spicy) and spicy mayo. My usual is the salmon mixed with spicy mayo. I do all topping except jalapenos and white onions. My husband likes his poke bowl simple. He goes for a large with mild original Pokinometry sauce, no toppings except green onions. You can see who the more adventurous foodie is.
