I came here on a Sunday afternoon on my last visit to California. Our hotel was in Anaheim and we Yelped the closest poke spot with decent reviews and pricing... we were not disappointed. As soon as you enter, the walls are covered in artwork... I really loved the decor :) Staff were also friendly and quickly pulled together our bowls for us. The setup is pretty straightforward, you pick your base, protein(s) (more means higher cost), toppings and sauce... divided into 5 stations. - Station 1: Bases available are white rice, brown rice, salad, chips, wrap or half and half of any of the bases. - Station 2: Toppings such as crabmeat, cucumber and avocado are available. - Station 3: Pick your protein, options are spicy tuna, albacore, tuna, shrimp, yellowtail, octopus, salmon and scallops. - Station 4: Select your sauce, you can mix and match between original nometry sauce, no spicy, mild, medium, spicy, spicy mayo sauce, spicy miso sauce or dynamite sauce. - Station 5: Finishing toppings such as green onions, masago, ginger, wasabi, sesame seeds and seaweed. PokiNometry reminds me of PoKeMoN so the bar is high. PokiNometry Chipotle'd Poke and they did a great job. I'm surprised this hasn't been franchised and spread all throughout the U.S. I think every mixed dish needs to be Chipotle'd actually just like Pokinometry did. I've been coming year for almost a decade. It's super easy and the fish is always solid. I used to have to wait in a long line and go through very inconsistent workers, but I visited again recently and the workers are well-trained now. The fish is fresh, the toppings are plentiful. I really wanted to like this place but my first thoughts stepping into the store was how bad it smelled. The fish smell was too strong like the fish smelled like it was rotten but it was throughout the whole store which should have been a sign for me to walk out... Bowls are pretty cheap compared to other poke shops. I ended up only getting a sushi roll for my sister and I to share which was dry and did not taste good at all. Customer service was not the best, seemed like they just wanted to get the day over with and was not very helpful. This is a pretty legit poke spot. Located on a corner in a busy little plaza, i luckily didn't have a hard time finding parking. I got the 3 scoop bowl which I believe is a medium. I was debating getting the large but boy I'm glad I did not. I got half and half of salad and brown rice with salmon, tuna, scallops and every side they had (extra ginger for those who know me). All in all, I would definitely be back here if I'm in the area. I was so full I could barely finish it. That bowl cost around $10.50 ish with tax. Not bad. Also, they have great service. I like this place because the portions are so big and the fish is very fresh. There aren't super fancy or cool toppings like other places but I'm not really interested in any of that. First time to this spot. Absolutely delicious and made more pleasant by the genuinely happy employee, Johnny. All of the ingredients were super fresh and the fish was super-cold. Only thing I was thrown off by was that I couldn't add a tip to my credit card payment. I prefer tipping in cash, but I just didn't have any on me this time. We always been huge fans of the location and although the prices have gone up the quality has gone down. 1- choose between Bowl, Burrito, Salad 2- choose portion size: Small Medium Large (bowls/salad only!!) 3- select the toppings (crab salad, avocado, onions) 4- select the protein (salmon, tuna, shrimp, etc) 5- select the spice level 6- select toppings (massago egg, green onion, pickled ginger, fried onions, sesame seeds, seaweed, spicy mayo) my order looked great but the moment i took my first bite i felt that something was very off with the dish. either the sauce or the rice was bad!! it tasted as if it was marinated in vinegar or the rice was old. my rice was cold and hard and just was unpleasant. the fish tasted fine but i'm not sure if they changed the sauce or what was different but after eating here my stomach has felt off and i just don't see myself going back any time soon. read more

If you like poke bowls, consider going to PokiNometry if you want that to change. Never have I encountered such rude and offputting service from a business before ever in the area, and I can confidently say that after only one visit I won't ever be visiting again. My girlfriend and I went here in late December, but my negative sentiment towards this place has still remained enough up until now to the point where I finally decided to make a review since I wasn't using Yelp at the time. For starters, a medium poke bowl here is $14.50... talk about shrinkflation, especially when you consider the prices of other (and better) poke offerings in OC. Most if not all of the offerings were severely lacking in flavor & substance, and the salmon & tuna in particular legitimately felt like it had been sitting at warmer-than room temperature, which is a big no-no. The overall vibe of the place felt so depressing as well, with the tables feeling sticky and the bathroom looking like it's seen better days. Despite all that however, what really was the nail in the coffin for me was when I went to go get a water refill for my girlfriend. The water lever in the beverage machine had jammed, and without thinking much of it, I thought it would be okay to get Sprite instead in the water cup-- what a big mistake, as this caused the guy working behind the counter at the time to immediately antagonize us and assume we were trying to finesse a free soft drink. Really?? I completely understand that from a business owner's perspective & out of principle, you should only be getting water in a water cup because every little thing is an expense, but were the rude comments about "needing to charge you extra for a soft drink" in such a hostile tone and threatening to revoke our right to eat inside necessary? Maybe if the shoddy water lever on the poorly-maintained machine hadn't broken the way it did, then I wouldn't have had to get another drink instead for my girlfriend to cleanse her palate of the awful-tasting poke. I called before we came this poke spot. I called to ask if they have fired tofu or regular non fired as well and they informed me that they had both. Because on the menu it only says fried tofu. Anyway that's why I had called to check. So we get there and the place smells strong of frying smell. We stunk when we left!! Even the next day our clothes in the hamper smelled very strong. Went to the OG of poké bowls. Not bad for about $13 for a large bowl. You get 5 scoops of whatever sea creatures they have. (I got all salmon) it was a lot of salmon, and I was like "yasssss please!" And the sauce was pretty good too, I don't remember what sauce it was bc the guy let us try all of them in the containers. (That was really nice.) they didn't skimp out on the extra sides if you wanted more. I like my ginger and they gave me a shit ton. I would say though for the large portion, I need more avocado and the imitation crab stuff. You get the same amount if you would have ordered a small. Also, I wish they had more toppings to choose from, like edamame or something. Overall it was ok. Parking kind of sucks if you're going during peak hours. And the restroom was dirty. I love me some good poke but kind of lost my taste for it after a few bad, sinewy episodes from a spot back home that I used to frequent quite often. The cuts of fish were terrible and not as fresh as they used to be and there was so much sinew in almost every bite it that I'd end up tossing the bowl in the trash in sheer disgust. Not so much at PokiNometry. Yum! First off, their fish is very fresh and not the least bit tough and sinewy. Their variety in their bases and topping beat out many of the places I've been to in the past. I decided on half salad and half brown sushi rice as my base. For my toppings, I selected crabmeat and avocado and went with tuna and salmon for my fish of choice. Add in some additional masago, ginger and furikake and you've got yourself quite the fresh little meal! I'm a fan of dynamite sauce so I dressed my poke with that. I've always had a great experience here, whether it was dining in, take out, or delivery via one of those delivery services. However, my poke salad was extremely unsatisfactory today from my take out. The lettuce that was hidden was slimy, disintegrating, and inedible. The salad wasn't tossed in any dressing, so I know it wasn't bruised from that. There needs to be better quality control when building the food. Would any of the employees eat this food? This was the pioneer of Poke cafe in the OC. It used to be my go to spot. But recently came back with a friend and man it had changed drastically. It used to be very packed and filled with lines on peak lunch and dinner time and now it's close to empty. I'm not sure if management changed but I think their quality of food and service has definitely went on a downturn. It's also not as clean as it used to be. After many many return visits,I just look at my rating and think I may have been a tad harsh. I put poke into 2 categories, Hawiiaan style and sushi roll style. Pokinomity is definitely in the later, and probably my favorite place in this style. It isn't the fish or the value. Pretty much everyone has the same quality, though I do appreciate the option of yellowtail. Price is about the same as the other places, so value is in line. The best part of Pokinomitry is the sauces. The bomb here is the Dynamite. I also like that they mix the fish in with the sauce, instead of just putting it on top. read more
