This place gets 2.5 stars for a few reasons. I could have went as low as 1 being as I'm pretty sure I got sick from their food. I used to go in and get the spicy shrimp bowl. I loved it, and it was pretty healthy! Unfortunately the last time i got it I ended up pretty sick even to the point of vomiting the subsequent day! I didn't chalk it up to food poisoning until I went back a few weeks later and ordered the same thing. The guy told me that bowl was no longer on the menu because they could no longer cook(or warm) the shrimp due to a cross contamination issue. When I told him I got sick a day after i ate that a few weeks prior he just looked at me puzzled, but didn't say or do anything. I don't like to cause a ruckus so I ordered something else and left. I have not been back since as now it just kind of doesn't sound good anymore. Not to mention the price is really kind of steep for what you get and I do wonder about the freshness of the seafood options! Other bowls i have tried were pretty good to give them some praising though, and environment is pretty chill! read more

This location is awesome. I love the indoor/outdoor bar and the allowance of dogs. The beer selection is great and tacos are supreme! If you think you hate sushi don't avoid this place; there is plenty of selections and options for other stuff too. The bowls are super filling and totally open for whatever you desire. Super foods our body will love us for eating!! Ok ok but what is up with these Tiny tiny stools?? My butt barely fit and I am considered thin. I got food poisoning from the raw salmon here on Thursday, but I wanted to leave a review and comment that the staff seems super busy with online orders and barely had time to help the people coming through the line to order. I think they should take a step back from so many online orders as the employees seemed super overwhelmed and the ordering process for me and others in line took much longer than it should've. Also maybe check dates on food better considering you're serving raw fish. read more

Ordered via Uber eats. I like that they have pre-made bowls or the option to make your own as well as a few other things. The ultimate size is justified by the sheer amount of protein that include. There were so many toppings it was hard to mix in the bowl provided. The variety of topping was also exceptional, including all the standard stuff plus a few other things. So being from so Cal and having been to Hawaii a fair few times, I have had my share of Poke, and this place definitely passes the test and then some. The positives: The Poke is outstanding, but I would expect that from a Poke place, however what really stands out is the tacos. We came on a Tuesday and my wife who does not eat raw fish, ordered the fish taco and carnitas taco, and both were excellent. The fish was battered in banana chips, which is very unique and it was out of control good. So there is something for everyone here, plus there is that ubiquitous New Mexico staple of getting Green Chile on your Poke bowl, which I chose not to get. Ambiance is really cool, with lots of seating. Plus, bring your receipt next door to sweet treats and you get a discount on dessert!! Definitely a repeat. The negatives: the parking situation can be a bit hairy. read more

Love this spot. A little something for everyone. My lady loves the tacos and I love the poke bowls. The beer and cocktail selection is also nice for those who want a drink. We've come to poki poki so many times to enjoy a beer and bowl on their patio but today I felt compelled to actually leave them a review. Their service was SO friendly and over the top it felt like we were being catered to at a nice restaurant. To see how bubbly and positive they were all being even in the midst of covid and the new (slightly obtrusive contact tracing they are now forced to abide by). From the staff assembling the bowls, to the sweet blonde girl checking out customers, to the bar tender service us drinks, complimentary miso soup and offering a bowl of water to our dog, everyone was excellent!! What a great concept and talk about fresh ingredients with a Asian twist--the Spicy Bowl was quite flavorful if you like heat... yet you can customize your creation should you like. Ceviche is one of my most favorite things to eat (being from the Gulf Coast of Florida) and if you also enjoy ceviche, you'll want & need to visit this neat little place... super cool atmosphere and friendly service! This is my first time here, but I have visited the other Poki Poki location on Central. Forewarning, this location has bad parking. The lot at this one is always busy. Walking into this location, it is way more spacious than that of the one on Central. It's got a second story that has extra room to sit down and enjoy your Poki bowls as well as two bars. In one of the extension rooms there is a beer bar. Multiple beers on tap. For this visit I got a personalized bowl. Still delicious any way you make it. Such a fun place. I came here with a friend who highly recommended it. If you've never been before, the options can be overwhelming. But the staff is super friendly and quick to answer questions about unfamiliar ingredients (like seaweed greens) and make recommendations. I got the Hawaiian bowl, which had several kinds of fish, ceviche and crab as well as beachside accouterments (pineapple salsa and the aforementioned seaweed greens). They mixed our bowls on the spot (similar to a Chipotle, you can get your fish and other ingredients on rice, salad, or other options), and we grabbed a table in the adjacent brewery room. A shame it wasn't later, so we could have gotten a fresh brew to round out the bowls. But it was quiet and a great place to chat while we enjoyed our food. Oh yeah, the food. It was AMAZING. So fresh. And really unusual tastes, especially for NM. This city has really stepped up its seafood game in the past few years, and this place is leading the pack. Yum yum. Loved every second of it. My husband brought me here after his friends introduced him to poki bowls. I was sooo skeptical. I'm a newbie sushi lover and fish hater. The thought of eating raw fish wasn't in my sights. But I agreed to try it. I decided to order a Boss Bowl, minus the fish eggs. It was filled with all kinds of goodness. Edamamw, crab, spicy tuna and salmon. Rice, chips, Wasabi sauce, corn. Maybe some other stuff I'm forgetting. Vut long story shortened, I'm amazed how fresh and delicious this is. Like a sushi roll in a bowl but even better. My husband builds his own bowl and my girlsoved the teriyaki chicken. Portions are great and employees are super friendly and helpful. This is the second trip I've made there. The food here is super fresh. At first I tasted everything in my bowl and was a little hesitant, but then I realized I liked everything, and I should just trust it. So I dived in and mixed everything around. What I really loved about my Poki bowl was that I really didn't know what the next bite would hold, and all the combinations were super delicious, and some even surprising. It's definitely an experience having all those fresh ingredients mixed up together, in a bowl, with all the flavors. At the end, I was full, but it was a healthy content. I knew I had eaten a well-balanced delicious meal, which is more than satisfying. The customer service here is also excellent. They were very helpful with any questions and the person waiting on me knew what I wanted to ask before I even asked it. Would definitely recommend and will be back. In regards to the fish tacos, I wouldn't recommend them as I feel they are so spicy that the spice takes over the entire taco and doesn't balance out the meal. And at night the light is a little harsh, if you koto do these kinds of things and they bother you is definitely take your food to go. read more

First off.. Parking is tight, there seems to be very few spots for the size restaurant that it is. Be prepared to see all of those full size SUVs taking "compact only" spots. I managed to get my compact car into the last compact (and only) spot between two SUVs. Nice place and it's way bigger on the inside than I expected. I didn't explore all of the area but the dessert shop is actually connected to poki poki. I walked around much of the exterior before finding the door to poki poki, but as it turns out I could have entered into at least one other door. I'm honestly still confused as to what entrance to use. I sat at the bar and watched some baseball that was playing on one of them. I guess I just missed happy hour so there's that. I tried to order two beers but they were both out. Finally the third beer they had in stock. Taco Tuesday meant the tacos from poki poki that were normally $3 were $2 today... Because this almost seems like two separate businesses. The bar and then poki poki. Then there is the other bar... Aww hell, I have no idea how this place works. I was able to order my beer and I ordered a few tacos from my bar tender. Overall it was good food. I enjoyed my fish tacos and beer. We ordered from this location for the second time tonight via GrubHub. The food was good, as usual, but there seems to be an ongoing issue with this one that the other one does not have. If you select the option for sauce on the side, they simply do not honor it. For someone like me that has to calculate everything that eat, this is very frustrating. I can only have so much of the spicy mayo and that is why I order it on the side. I don't know why this is even an option if they are just going to ignore it every single time. I like the food because I can use the components to make my own Keto sushi at home but I'm not sure I'll keep ordering if they can't get my order right. read more

The tacos are amazing! We come to this location every Tuesday for $2 Taco Tuesday. We normally start with two or three and end up ordering more! haha. They have a good selection of local craft beer here as well as a good selection of sangria. On days we are willing to pass up tacos, we have ordered the original poki bowl from the menu. Part of my reason for the 4 stars comes in play here. At this location, they have different bowls for to go orders or dining in; if you dine in, they do not fill the bowl up as much as if you ordered to-go. This is always disappointing. The customer service has room to improve, but other than that this place is where its at on Taco Tuesday. Tip: If you order any size Poki Bowl, you get a $1 off a beer. read more
