Had lunch here yesterday. When I went to order, I let them know I have a gluten allergy. The person…read morehelping me seemed to understand, he may have been a manager. He went to the back to get a clean cutting board and knife and changed his gloves, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, the other employee working with him did not seem to take my gluten allergy seriously. As my order was being prepared, he reached in front of the other employee and used his gloved hands instead of the serving spoons to grab items. He started with the crab (which is gluten-free) and then grabbed other items, cross-contaminating everything. When I noticed this, I asked that my food not be taken from those containers due to cross contamination. The employee preparing my food was very kind and went to get fresh containers. I watched my meal being made and felt comfortable eating it. Everything seemed safe, and the food was really good! I was just disappointed that one employee did not take cross contamination seriously. Since the menu is clearly marked with gluten-free items, I would expect staff to be properly educated on cross contamination.
