The quality of the food and service has always been consistent. They have so many options for fish and toppings but some of our go-to favorites are the half and half bowls with tuna and albacore sashimi with all the toppings fully loaded. This place is typically good! Taste is great. Service is slow though, it takes a good minute to go through the line if you have a party of 2 or more. Go alone! People who came after my group of 3, were being served quicker and jumped over us, so that was annoying. With my group today, a topping with mistakenly put on my bowl and the worker did not even attempt to remove it, just said she didn't want to touch it. I was craving some Poki and decided to try this place out. The restaurant is kept up and had a lot of cute Halloween decorations. For food I decided to get the Large Bowl which comes with 5 Protien options. I did half rice with salad and 3 Protein options of spicy creamy tuna and 2 salmon. Best poki in town. I started coming to this place due to convenience fir lunch. It had now become a regular lunch stop for me. Everything is quite fresh and tasty. Service is always with a smile. Only thing is they have a small parking lot they share with other businesses in the strip mall which sometimes gets filled completely. I was hesitant to write a review but after visiting another poke shop with much better service, I decided to come write about my experience. For starters the girl who helped us was not friendly at all, I don't think she even cracked a smile once. Isn't that apart of good customer service? It seemed like she wasn't happy to help us. Second, the portions are incredibly small for the price you have to pay??? You get about a tablespoon of toppings. When we asked for extra she was so rude about it, her face looked so annoyed and asked if we were willing to pay extra.. I don't mind paying extra but okay?? Don't have to get annoyed about it. Unfortunately, her general flustered demeanor, insistence upon rushing my experience to my discomfort, and cheapskate portioning made it clear to me that Poki Monster is no longer worth my business, nor the business of any other individuals who value integrity in the practice of business. I have listed my review as "two stars" because the food served and sauces added to the dishes are enjoyable; I am honestly slightly disappointed that I will no longer be enjoying them as a result of the overriding negative tone that accompanies the operation of this restaurant. The ordering process is very easy - look on the wall for a guide for step by step instructions. If you don't want to read, the workers will help you figure out what you need. Food was great here, but sometimes the orders can be a little slow. Also, there was a young girl at the front was kind of impatient and rude. She called the customer for their order, but the customer either could not hear or caught up with their phone. I know she did call again but also making a face...I think next time she can handle the situation better. She could just walk up to the table and asked if their is so and so and the food is ready at the front, so they can pick it up. I'm quite impressed with poki monster. I've gone to quite a few poke places and so it's rare to come across an establishment that I actually enjoy. My coworker and I came here earlier today for lunch at 12:30pm and it wasn't too packed. Parking was a breeze (but I know based on the size of the plaza, it can get a little tricky depending on the time). We were greeted and helped immediately upon entering. I decided to get a regular bowl ($8.99) with half salad, half rice with 3 scoops including salmon, albacore and spicy mayo (premixed) tuna. For my toppings I got seaweed salad, edamame, pineapple, a scoop of fake crab meat (they charge extra for extra scoops), and cucumber. They were a little stingy with the toppings in my opinion, but the scoops of fish were just the right amount. The salmon looked fresh and the tuna was alright (you really can't tell cus it was mixed already) but the albacore looked a little less fresh. I ended with the recommended sauces (shoyu, sesame oil and I'm not sure what the last one was) and the volcano sauce (basically level 1 hot sauce), masago, wasabi, and scallions. I also got spicy mayo on the side, which I recommend if you want some extra sauces. I was able to finish my entire bowl, with a little bit left over but I thought the overall amount of the bowl was generous enough. There was def enough flavor, the servers were pretty kind, and the overall process was pretty efficient. I do want to note that even though the place was starting to get packed, a lot of people get their orders to go - so you might be lucky if you want to eat in. The employees have always been really friendly and will help with the ordering process! I have been very lucky with the servings! The scoop for the fish is small and in some Poke restaurants I have seen that the employees will drop fish out of the scooper! Here, they really SCOOP the fish in the bowl! I LOVE IT!! Gave this place a shot despite the reviews I saw. The customer service has cleaned up, the associate that served me was nice. The size scoops of fish seemed okay, just a bit on the small side. But I was disappointed in the freshness of the food. The seaweed salad and edamame was old and I had to eat around it. The salmon was fresh today but the tuna was not.
