First, let me just say... I LOVE poki!! So, I may be a little biased. I really enjoyed my poki bowl (I got the spicy tuna and my friend got spicy tuna and spicy salmon), but I do wish they had some standard poki bowls and then allowed you to add all the extra ingredients. Instead, you has to choose all your ingredients, which was a bit overwhelming. There were a lot of extras, some I was unfamiliar with. I got the "sushi rice," the house sauce and ponzu sauce, avocado, cilantro, green onions, red onions, etc. I feel like I got carried away. The bowl ended up costing over $16! Again, I love poki, but that was a bit more than I expected to pay. We both felt like our bowls were too spicy, so next time we'll cut back on the spicy sauces and fish. My friend ordered the thai iced tea (she liked it), and my daughter got an orange and green apple slushy. It's still blazing hot rn, so this was the tastiest, most refreshing drink I've ever had. I practically stole it from my daughter lol. All in all, I thought this was a really good spot. We'll be back! read more

Yum! This has become our new go-to spot after our previous place changed their recipe and it didn't seem to taste right anymore. We have ordered online several times, the only suggestion I would make to the store is *please* be sure to read the orders a little closer - a couple times we have ordered regular salmon, and got spicy salmon.. or asked for one sauce and got another. Not a huge deal breaker as the food is so good, but when you can't tolerate super spicy foods, it kinda kills the vibe. Came in with my bf, he got a large and I got a regular poke bowl. We were so impressed with the quality and taste of the sea fish. The mocha smoothie is a 10/10 I can see my self becoming addicted to it! Another customer recommend my man the Thai iced coffee with almond milk. That's a 8/10. I was generally happy with the proteins and toppings. All tasted fresh and of good quality. The house poke sauce was either bland or not well mixed with my proteins. Deal breaker here was the white rice. It tasted like unseasoned medium grain white rice. I expect rice with a more sushi rice flavor if it's gonna be more than half the bowl. I get poke rice is served warm, but this was so hot and mushy, I had to power through my bowl while the fish was still room temp. Ruined the experience. read more

I am a huge poki fan and I have yelp to thank for introducing me to it years ago! That being said, this place is alright. Dos Lagos is an interesting area and this is a little side business that you have to see or work to find a little bit. No parking is really super close to it, but it is on the driveway in past TGIFridays (same area, right next door) if you were heading to the movie theater. Right now during the pandemic they have made a very smart move and made their store front a little like a beach walk up and order window, and I love that (except the heat hinders happiness to eat outside, not their fault) There is a nearby easy up to sit and enjoy some shade while waiting for your order. They have papers all set up with clean pens marked and you fill out the paper with what you want and ring the little bell on the counter. She was quick to come and ring me up. It was my first experience here with the paper, so I am not sure if I switched the things that I like onto my husbands order or they did- but yeah, there was a little oops on the toppings that we both got. Not a huge deal, except for the fish eggs lol those are hard to pick off when you do not like them. Overall it tasted great and I would recommend if you have never tried poki bowls but you know you love sushi, this will be your next favorite thing to eat! We have them weekly. Healthy and delicious! Now for this place specifically, my downside was price. I go to a place regularly that is less expensive and we both felt we got more from our regular place, but this time I was here so I decided to try them out. Also, some type of reward to return? A stamp card or something would probably help business just a little and not really cost you more. (maybe you usually have one, IDK) This shopping center is fun to visit and the little lake is great to walk around. If you haven't been here, I highly suggest a visit and give this place a try too! Although their prices recently went up, their poke bowls are quite tasty and fresh. Portions are large which I appreciate for $15 a regular bowl. They always get everything in my order right. The boba drinks are delicious. I love the green tea boba. The folks are super friendly and welcoming. We were in Riverside by luck and saw this tiny place. Skeptical at first, but once we walked in and saw the food we figured yup, we gonna try it. DELICIOUS. Not a lot of options around here but this definitely hits the spot. Poke in general is a bit expensive so I won't doc them for that but I feel the scoops of protein are a bit on the smaller side. If Andrew Yang becomes president and implements the Freedom Dividend of $1k per month then I'll probably come much more often to support local businesses. Poki Cafe is soooo delicious and never disappoints me. I am probably eating a poke bowl from here 4-5 times a month since it is nearby my job. I usually get a small bowl with tuna & salmon, white rice, crab meat, seaweed salad, pineapple, edamame with crispy onion on top. The staff is also very friendly and amazing at what they do.
