salmon bowl

service was great, the last there was super nice. the bowl is pretty good, i haven't had poke in a while since my favorite place poki cat closed their chino hills location and they're in mission viejo now. but this is pretty solid. extinguished my craving . the place looks clean and they were playing frank ocean back to back and i love him so it was a vibe.

Small Bowl Salmon, Ahi Tuna

first time here, 10/10 overall experience. i can confidently say this is better than my fav go to poki place. we came in near closing and the staff were kind enough to take our orders and give us a generous amount. the quality of the fish was rlly good

When you first walk in it doesn't smell super great - kind of like a public restroom and it was hot, the AC was definitely not running. We ordered a miso soup, spam musubi, and a large poke bowl. This came out to $26. The miso soup was watery and didn't have much flavor - which no big deal because who orders soup from a Poke place. But the spam musubi was gray and inedible. The bowl was small and the sauces were bland. We likely will not be back.

Giving this place 3 stars . The Tuna was not as soft as I'm used to , and the prices for what you get is a little high, but it wasn't bad and the staff was nice .

My Poki bowl is so delicious and fulfilling .Great food portion, worth every penny. Everytime I go to this store it's always clean, friendly, fast service. Their Poki sauce is so tasty, salmon and tuna are fresh, lots of food choices. Soon they will have beer and wine, can't wait to come back. Ah, dont forget the yummy Musubi! Healthy food bank for your bucks !

The shrimp and sausage jambalaya pasta comes in a pretty big portion and is incredibly rich and flavorful. The seafood boiler platter with half a pound of shrimp and half a pound of mussels is a great value, especially since it includes potatoes and sausage. And the Cajun fries? Super crispy and really good!

We also order one serving of rice to split between me and my bf. The total came out to around $80 with tip included, which felt pretty reasonable for the amount of seafood we got. Service was very attentive. They kept refilling our water, clearing our buckets, and checking in to make sure everything was good throughout the meal. We got the Cajun spice mild and the sauce was amazing, especially with the rice. It was very flavorful and comforting. The shrimp were definitely the highlight because they soak up the sauce really well. The mussels and crawfish were good, but the meat was a bit smaller and seemed like it might be frozen. If you are ordering, I would recommend going for the shrimp set because it pairs the best with the sauce. Overall a really enjoyable meal and a fun place for a casual date night.

I had the Flat Iron Steak and my wife had the Blackened Salmon. Now I normally don't order Flat Iron Steaks because they usually just don't donut for me, man was in wrong. Honestly, from service to portion to food Quality, across the board everything was fantastic. Prices are fairly standard nothing exorbitant. The portions are great. I ordered the fried calamari which might've been the most tender and fresh calamari I think I've ever tasted. My wife had the Caprese salad, which was really fresh and well done. For the main meal, I had crab stuffed ravioli, and my wife had the steak beef bowl, which was enormous and could easily be shared with two people. The ravioli was excellent. The sauce was excellent. The flavor and the subtle sweetness of the crab shined through. My wife's steak bowl was also amazing. The steak was melt in your mouth tender. A very subtle heat in the seasoning from red chili, I believe. Chefs kiss. Our server was amazing and I feel horrible for not remembering her name, the woman who was working the front area was helpful and knowledgeable and just very welcoming. A special bonus was the old school 50s and 60s music. My mom would have loved it. This place is a definite guarantee for anyone who enjoys great quality food. We will be there again. I would've taken pictures of the food, but I am an absolute glutton and finished it...lol

5/1/2026 Been so…read morelong since I've had a pan roast! I thought there weren't any more places that make pan roasts, but happy to have found one in Chino Hills! HOUSE PAN ROAST It tasted exactly what was expected. A creamy tomato soup consistency and flavor. Got level 2 or 3 for spice level. I wanted more of that creamy flavor, not spice. Any higher than 3 would be Tabasco level spice and up. Deliciously filled with shrimp, chopped scallops, small crab meat. I could taste the crab meat, which was all sitting at the bottom of the bowl. The scoop of jasmine rice with the creamy pan roast was comfort on another level. Got the small size, but it is enough for me. I do wish there were more shrimp and scallops and crab in the pan roast. I felt the scallops and crab were chopped too small and wished there was a bit more. But still I enjoyed the pan roast and would get it again. As an appetizer and accompaniment to the house pan roast, they bring a basket with three sliced breads and a side of butter. It's a light, soft bread with a bit of sour flavor. Didn't like it. I would have preferred dinner rolls. CUSTOMER SERVICE I arrived 1 hr before lunch closing time. It closes at 2:00pm and then re-opens for dinner at 5:00pm. But service was good! Only one server, but she checked back with everyone and all around better than most places I've been at recently. Lots of people came in 30-40 mins before closing time. Still, service was friendly and they weren't turned away. LOCATION At The Commons at Chino Hills. This is a large outdoor mall and have many parking spaces.

The Boiler is located in a large shopping plaza, so there is plenty of parking. They don't take reservations, but there was no line at opening, and they were able to accommodate my party of 10 without issue. They have both tables and bar seating. Of course I had to try their House Pan Roast that has shrimp, crab, clams, scallops, and the trinity in a tomato cream-based sauce. It also comes with a scoop of jasmine rice, but you can sub for pasta as well. You choose your spice level ranging from 0-10. I can't handle very much spice, but a spice level of 1 was not spicy at all, and spice level 3 really didn't have much spice either. Our server told us that a 6 or 7 is about sriracha level in terms of spiciness. The House Pan Roast overall was very tasty, and I enjoyed having a variety of seafood! The portion of rice isn't too large, but I appreciate that they give you complimentary bread, so it was great for dipping in my remaining pan roast!
