    Way too much sauce
    Melody H.

I've been here a few times and the food is pretty good. I do think the portion size is a bit smaller than other places, but the fish is fresh. I don't know what it is but they over do it on the sauce. This guy basically poured a ton of spicy mayo on my bowl. I had to use napkins to wipe some sauce off. I told him it's good but he just kept going. I don't think there are too many good poke places in the area, just make sure to say light sauce.

Food was pretty good. Hit the spot of craving sushi and Thai tea. Miso soup isn't as umami, but overall it was comforting to say the least.

Cute Japanese dolls on the counter.

I tend to enjoy places where I get to customize the ingredients because I'm getting exactly and only the things I want, so I know I'll like it. There are also premade dishes to choose from, but we chose to make our own. There are a variety of sizes, but I chose the biggest one, the super bowl, so that we could have leftovers. That one has 5 scoops of rice, which means you can also choose 5 different proteins, and if you only want 2, like I did, they will multiply what you chose to make it 5, like I ended up getting 3 scoops of tofu and 2 scoops of avocado. There are so many sauces and ingredients to choose from, so before we even got to the cashier we stood off to the side and I wrote down on a piece of paper what we wanted and just handed it to them, although they did have a bit of trouble reading my writing. It was only when we were about to leave that I saw a wall that was alphabetized with sheets of paper of people's preferences, maybe for when they come back and want the same thing? When we were there, there weren't any blank forms available, so I just used a piece of paper I already had in my bag. Or you can do what another customer did and just walk in and tell them what you want. I just wanted to be more efficient and have everything already picked out by the time we got to the cashier. Everything is clean and new, and if you want a quick bite that's also healthy and exactly to your taste, this place is worth a visit.

First time here. This place has everything. Poke, sushi rolls, boba drinks and teriyaki bowls. Good prices. Owners are very friendly. Poke Bowl - not as good as Ahipoke. Beef teriyaki - delicious! Taro milk tea with boba - very good!

Underrated Sushi / Sashimi spot. Poke is always good - but the sushi is really great too! Service is always solid and this is a great local Business to support. ***EDIT*** I read the other reviews and anyone telling you it's expensive needs to get their head examined. It's not their fault the cost of Bluefin Tuna, Hamachi, Salmon, etc has gone up by 30% in cost. All restaurant prices have gone up. A McDonalds burger is like $10 now... so of course, $12 for a specialty sushi roll, or $18 for a 5 serving poke bowl is still a fair price. Go support these small business owners in our community before they go out of business and everything is some corporate pre-packaged, fake food restaurant!

From opening the door to a welcoming local restaurant. The staff were extremely kind and generous!! The food is 10/10 and will highly recommend to anyone that is not only in the mood for some fresh mouth quenching poke but also, they have amazing flavorful teriyaki combo plates with vegetables!! They kindly let us try the miso soup and it was amazing along with their Thai tea boba that is made fresh everyday. 100% try this place out !!TOKYO TO GO!!

Size of the salmon protein option. You get 3 of those, for one serving of protein.... Insane lol

Poki bowl from the new Tokyo To Go (same ownership as Poki Town from what the employee said). The food is good quality, only reason it is not receiving 1 star. The portion sizes are ridiculous though! I'm all for paying for good food, but can it at least fill my tummy. The piece of salmon you see, times it by 3 and that's what you will be getting as 1 of your protein options. A cookie scoop size of a spicy tuna as your second, and an ice cream scoop size of crab meat as your 3rd (for the 3 scoops bowl). I've never seen a poki place use crab meat as a portion option. What makes me even more speechless is the portion sizing of the proteins. I personally do not think the price is worth the meal being received, but I'm just here to share my opinion. Enjoy!

Try it Bowl and Large Original Gyudon Beef Hot Bowl

There food is honestly amazing and the prices are great too. The portions are very generous I'm from LA and I wish we had something like this down here. Also super friendly staff this girl helped us out and she was so sweet.

As I walked in I could smell the deliciousness of the food and was greeted kindly. We got our food quickly and for a fair price. It was super good. When we got thirsty we asked for water and the workers there said they only had bottles but they kindly gave them to us for free. Over all the experience was great:

I saw a review that it's a bit saucy, which it is but if it's your first time and not a big fan of the saucyness just be advices! Tell them light sauce But personally I really like it! The sauce gets absorbed in my white rice and it gives everything a really really nice flavor. This was actually the very first spot that I tried poke for the first time. I'm accustomed to eating sushi and I wasn't really sure what to get in my bowl so the workers would suggest things and overtime I figured out what I liked and what I didn't like. They did indeed fill the bowl up very well which I was happy about! But unfortunately both my friend and I left a bit disappointed since we both felt our bowls were overly saucy. And I'm usually a very saucy girl! I only asked for 2 different sauces, the OG and the ponzu, but I felt like it left the whole bowl feeling really thick and creamy plus a little overly salty whereas I prefer when the fish and toppings stand out instead. As for the business itself it's a small place with a few tables in the back which is where we sat. The woman that served us was able to keep up with the amount of toppings I was throwing out (with 1 mistake) and service was pretty quick. I always like when I'm able to see the food being made. They also had a small ice chest with different melona flavors and since I love the green melon flavor I got one! It's rare to find in restaurants so I was happy with that!

I ended up ordering spicy edamame, vegetable egg rolls, veggie rolls, tempura veggie rolls, and vegetable yakisoba. My sister, who's a meat eater, ordered calamari, California rolls, beef fried rice, beef yakisoba, and a new Korean bbq dish that wasn't on the regular menu, but there was a picture of it on the wall by our table. In addition, we each also got a bowl of miso soup and a small salad that came free of charge with our meal, which I appreciate since sushi rolls by themselves don't really fill me up. Everything tasted good and was filling and even now after eating some of the leftovers, it all still tastes good. The place itself is nicely decorated with a bunch of police patches behind the counter while on the walls there's Japanese artwork. The only hiccups I had was when I first came in I immediately asked for 2 waters. I got a nonverbal "Mm-hmm," so I repeated it again and got the same response, but a little more annoyed. Maybe it's a cultural thing where I was expecting an actual "Yes" and in Japan it's just a noise of acknowledgement, but once I started ordering so much food the waitress was much nicer to us. The 2nd was when we had to wait for the last dish to come out when we were already packed and ready to leave, but that was more on us since we added the Korean bbq last minute. The last has nothing to do with the restaurant itself, but the plaza it's in. If you're unfamiliar with it, I'll tell you right now that the parking situation is a nightmare! Basically, the parking lot is a long narrow stretch sandwiched in-between with the various restaurants and shops on one side, and the main street on the other side, so what ends up happening is all the good spots right next to the place you want to go to get filled up fast and you have to try and make a U-turn and find parking far away. Meanwhile, a bunch of other cars are trying to do the same thing while other cars are trying to come in off the street. It's horrible! It's an accident waiting to happen! I hate this plaza and whoever designed it! Anyway, if you're willing to put up with the parking situation, the restaurant and food are good enough for you to forget about it until you're trying to leave.

They have a selection of the protein fish you can get for the poke bowl. I got the large bowl and also recommend this one because you get 3 scoops of protein, but they are really, really TINY scoops! I got the salmon, albacore, and the spicy tuna. I don't recommend the spicy tuna for poke bowl. It's more for the sushi wraps. The salmon was the best and freshest one. The albacore had ice chips on them, so they likely freeze them. Got the Spicy Ponzu Sauce topped over my half Salad and brown rice. Got my toppings, too. Flavor wise, my bowl could have used a little more flavor. Portion wise, it wasn't filling at all for me because it was very light on the protein scoops. It's a light lunch meal for sure. When I was here years back, the previous owners made it really good and the protein scoops were big. So there's definitely some shrinkflation with the protein portions. But for $16.99 plus tax for a poke bowl is still a fairly good meal deal. Looks like it's a family owned shop. The owners seem friendly.
