Today we gave it a chance and have to say, though very slow, with few customers, the service and food were all very good! It's a very nicely designed dining room, couple that with tonight's good food and service, it's a winner! We were so happy to discover this from our past less than stellar experiences! The servers, hostess and bussers were all pleasant and added to the nice experience!

Servers were great and we got our food quickly and without complications. We ordered the sticky ribs appetizer which had good flavor. The honey walnut shrimp entree was a good size portion and tasted very fresh and flavorful. We split the entree and the app and it was the perfect amount of food.

This was my first time ordering a combo here, and I was surprised to find out that choosing beef or…read moreshrimp costs extra. The problem is that nowhere on the menu does it clearly say there's an additional charge. We even asked the cashier what "any" meant on the menu, and instead of explaining politely, she rolled her eyes at us. That kind of attitude was completely unnecessary and very unprofessional. To make things worse, the chicken that came with the combo was incredibly dry, dark, and overcooked. It looked like it had been sitting out for days and was almost impossible to enjoy. Between the hidden upcharge, the confusing menu, the rude service, and the poor food quality, this was a very disappointing experience. I won't be coming back.

It wasn't particularly busy when my wife, her mom, and I came for a visit on a Monday. But it was nice to eat rice and noodles, without having to have leftovers. Like most food court restaurants, everything is geared towards having individual portions cost $15 or so. But since a three choice combo plate only cost an extra dollar than the two choice ($15.99 vs $14.99) and we were a family not mind sharing, we got the former, with each of us choosing an entree. The shrimp entree cost $1.50 extra and was worth it, with large jumbo shrimp provided in a tasty brown sauce. The orange chicken was what you would expect, with decent pieces of white meat, but a coating that gets soggy sitting around in the steam table. The chicken and broccoli had small pieces of chicken, but provided a good amount of wok-fired broccoli which I enjoyed. It comes with a choice of non-descript lo mein noodles, rice, or both. Seating is shared across the other restaurants: not a huge amount of seating, but easy to find open ones since it wasn't too busy. Very much reminds me of how dining out while shopping at a mall used to be.

The food is ALWAYS DELICIOUS, fresh, and flavorful. Portion sizes will leave you feeling happy and full every time. Employees are friendly, welcoming, and always appear happy. I always leave here knowing I just had a great and delicious meal.

Read below for specifics. Me and my family came to Soboba for my birthday. Arrival at the counter--wait took a long time because the restaurant was busy. Totally understandable. (Especially considering that this restaurant is within the casino.) Table is clean and presentation is nice. I love that the staff greet you from the outside, very good score on customer service. The dining atmosphere was honestly amazing. Decoration is very fancy in a modern vibe and captures a comforting Asian restaurant very well. My issue with the restaurant is their food. I have tried all kinds of Pad Thai. But never once...did I expect a restaurant to make the most bland Pad Thai I have ever tasted. I didn't even think it was possible. The pad thai tasted more soft than chewy, it tasted as if I was eating soba noodles because there is no umami flavor, let alone the sweet and savory taste to the noodles. Not even the chili paste can add even a hint of flavor. The tofu is too soft for my tastes, and lacking in flavor. Same thoughts about the bulgogi, which was also lacking flavor. For quite a large price, I feel very disappointed. However, there was one thing I did enjoy, was the calamari and sauce. Calamari was the perfect mix of chewy and crispy. I savored every bite of that texture. Sauce was tangy and sweet, the kind of flavor I expected in the Pad Thai. I can confirm that the calamari, the atmosphere, and the customer service are recieving the stars. Thank you Noodle Bar for the experiance.
