    Avocado Fish Boat**
    Steph C.

Lots of options like poke rice bowls, poke burritos , poke salad bowls, ramen. You can also build your own bowl. Who Doesn't love that. A meal with all your favorite ingredients. I ordered the Avocado fish bowl with brown rice. It was delicious! The bowl is huge and very filling. I cant wait to try other dishes.

    Tofu Lover with Brown Rice

I have always wanted to try out this place since I'm usually at the mall. I went for the first time today and it was surprisingly not too bad. I ordered the tofu lover (one of their specialty poke bowls) with brown rice. The service was very fast, but probably also because there was no line when I went. The tofu lover was a bit pricer than I expected. It was almost $13 with tax. For on protein, I don't think it was worth the price even with the portion they gave. Nonetheless, the food was very delicious. I love the toppings they put in my bowl especially the seaweed salad. The sauce they added definitely made the bowl more flavorful. However, the bowl was half rice and can be a bit too dry. Overall, the food and the taste of the tofu lover poke bowl is pretty good! However, it's definitely on the pricer side of poke bowls and I don't think the price matches with the quality of food. If it was $2 or $3 cheaper, I might come back.

I struggled with how to rate this one. Compared to other poke bowl restaurants I've been to (mainly in NYC), it's a 3 or 4 stars. But for where it stands in the middle of Willowbrook Mall, when the other options are your typical food court, it's an easy 5 stars. The ingredients were all fresh - the salmon and tuna stood out, with the shrimp being the worst (taste seemed a little off and it was a bit mushy). Good mix of other ingredients and a wide variety of sauces. Didn't get to try the ramen, but it looks pretty good. All in all, will definitely visit again when near the mall, but won't go out of my way to return.

Their signature poke bowl, the aloha

Finally time to give this place a few good stars. I intentionally waited to share my thoughts as it wouldnt be fair to rate it during my first visit. It was there soft opening then...and let me tell you it wasnt soft at all. You could tell the staff were new at everything, reading through the recipe, slowly punching the cash register, lots of apologies for the wait etc But now (drum roll please) it has gotten sooo much better. The third time I was back, i could already feel the difference as soon as i walked up their stall. They had some new employees who definitely know their thing. First from pleasant greetings and confident taking of orders and accurate endorsement to whoever made either ramen, poke or bubble tea. There ramen is actually decent. I liked the flavor of their broth and texture of the noodles were good as well. I wasnt a big fan of their supposed to be best seller poke, the Aloha as I found the tuna/salmon somewhat sour tasting. HOWEVER, i enjoyed their seaweed very much!! After the disappointment i had with the poke bowl, i decided to order something different on my next visit and went with a custom sushirrito. Only had seaweed wrap, rice marinated tuna/salmon, onions, seaweed, cucumbers and the original sauce and BAM! That did the trick lol I'd say I'd give the place 3.5 for the food and star also for their staff. Couldnt give a 5 because I've had better poke and also for the fact that even thought they have good bubble tea (which is always a plus for me) I'm not a fan of their boba's texture. My husband likes it. He said its like jelly but to me it's just grape-like. I still eat it though.

Advertised bubble tea but was told it was coming soon :(

Returned today to specifically get and try the ramen! Basically they gave a menu with options and check boxes next to each item with prompts like 'choose a soup base', 'choose a protein', etc. This was very helpful since you could just pick up a menu and take your time to really look through it and mark the things you want with less miscommunication and misunderstandings. (however the amount of paper that this uses isn't exactly the most environmentally friendly option). They also started to advertise bubble tea in thier digital boards and their paper menus. When I went to circle the bubble tea order I wanted, I was told that the bubble tea was coming soon and that it was still awaiting approval from the mall or something. If that's the case then why is there so much advertising on the bubble tea?? Why even include it in the menu?? I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't get bubble tea and it felt misleading, which is why I'm giving it a 4 stars. The guys working there were very friendly today and had better customer service than the last time I went.

Good spot to get poke or ramen. Poke taste fresh and the service was pretty quick for a lunch break. The bubble tea is also good, but I wouldn't recommend any tapioca as they tasted like they have been sitting. Which I could understand when the traffic isn't high and they aren't constantly preparing tapioca.

When I think of mall food.. like mall sushi or mall poke, I don't expect amazing food. But this was actually really good. I had recently discovered poke and then was at the mall and decided to try this place for lunch. It was really well priced and the crab tasted fresh. I like the fact that you get to check off the boxes on the notecard of what you want. The first time I ordered poke, I got anxious under pressure of deciding quickly what toppings/sides I should get but the notecard eliminates that for me! I'd eat here again to get my poke fix

I've been trying to find a good Poke place in Jersey for a while now and I'm so happy that I saw a lot of people here so I asked if I can try a sample of the tuna. The guy at the cashier was so kind and gave me a sample of what I wanted. The choices were awesome and I cant wait to come back again. Highly recommended!

    Pork Tonkotsu Ramen
    Darlene H.

For a fast food place it's just ok. I wouldn't really recommend it unless you have a bad craving for ramen. The pork wasn't your typical Tonkotsu pork. It's deli ham and tasted like it too which was weird and disappointing. Service was friendly and fast. For the $12 price for the ramen, I would go somewhere else.

    Amira I.

First time...I've had poke multiple places all And was expecting so much more. I'm really hungry so I inhaled the bowl but it was missing something. The brown rice was kind of hard and the fish just didn't taste as fresh. And it also had shrimp which threw it off too. Too much cilantro too in their signature Aloha Bowl. The sauce was tasty and helped it. The bubble tea needs help too..the boba are a bit mushy.

Mild Toknatsu Ramen w/ chasu and egg mmmm goodness
    Florence M.

I gave this place 5 stars because I am so impressed that you can get Mall food as good as this! It is affordable, the wait time is not too long, and thid is by far, the most "upscale" Mall food item I have ever had! My hubby stumbled onto this place one day because he had to wait for something to get fixed at the Apple Store. This spot is not in the food court, but right outside it. If you like sushi or tuna tare tare, then you will enjoy their Poke'. Poke' is a popular dish in Hawaii and the Polynesian Islands. It is raw tuna or fish, served in a rice dish. Their poke' dish was surprisingly not only 1 soft texture at all, as they put a number of other toppings and sides in the rice bowl that have other textures. The flavors were super delish! We also tried their Tonkatsu Ramen, and this too was very, very, tasty! Tonkatsu is a rich, pork broth, and this was soooo good. I got mine with chasu (pork) and egg. My egg was not soft boiled, which is how I usually like my egg in my ramen, but this didn't deter from the dish's flavor at all, so I didn't mind. The chasu was good, and the noodles were your typical ramen noodles, but I think the broth is what really made this entire dish. You can choose to have your spiciness as none, mild, or hot. I chose mild, and it was perfect! Some restaurants, when they say mild, to me it still tastes like there's no heat, especially if they are catering to a primarily Caucasian clientele. My hubby, who can't tolerate much heat, thought my bowl was on the spicy side, but he still really enjoyed it. He drank all my leftover broth lol. Anyway, if you like spicy food like me, then their mild is actually mild, in my opinion. Which means their hot, is probably actually hot. I would like to try hot next time we come here. They serve a variety of Bubble Tea drinks here, and they were on the sweet side. We had the Honeydew Bubble Tea, and the boba and syrup they used reminded me of a sweet Filipino drink called Sago Gulaman. The Honeydew Bubble Tea drinks we ordered we not milk tea, but we still enjoyed them. I think this place should try leaving the mall and having a real cafe' place outside instead. I can see them being very popular. I also like the way they take your order, and all the choices you get. Basically, you check all the things you want your Poke' bowl or Ramen to have in it on a piece of their menu, hand it to one of the workers, and wait for your order to be done. You can truly customize your food to what you really like, as opposed to just getting it served to you only 1 way. The fact that they were able to serve us this kind of food from a small stand area in a mall, is quite impressive, which is why I gave them 5 stars. We will definitely return, and recommend this spot to our friends.

I wouldn't hold it against you if you eyed me with suspicion when I said:…read more "It's in a strip mall, next to an Applebee's but... it's great!" "It's my new favorite ramen joint. My last favorite was in a food court inside of a mall!" "It feels like it's the next evolution in the Tommy's Tavern-Tio Taco's takeover of high-quality spots all across our great state!" (But each statement is said, and meant, with sincerity.) It's large (high ceilings adding to the 'wow factor'). It has a great look and vibe. The entire staff are profusely positive. As for the ramen... the broth was chock-a-block with flavor and veggies and noodles and a whole array of goodies (black oil, crispy garlic nubs, creamy tofu, you name it). The Mrs. (who is the real connoisseur when it comes to ramen, I'm just a wannabe) thought the portion was a bit on the 'wimpy' side (for the price) but I was content. (We arrived at the tail-end of happy hour, so maybe I was a bit more forgiving since the bill wasn't as bad as it could've-would've been.)

The selection is inclusive, with ramen options for vegans and those who don't eat pork. And the pièce de résistance: the takoyaki. I consider myself somewhat of a takoyaki connoisseur. If it's on the menu, I order. Their takoyaki is BOMB. It's perfectly creamy inside and rests atop this delicious velvety ricotta-like sauce, excellent sauce assortment (the usuals), and I like the shredded bonito, ALL GOOD. Not a ton of octopus in there (about 1-2 pieces in each) but I wasn't mad. I was actually very very happy. Now the sad is that their main event, the ramen, was pretty underwhelming. I ordered the chicken ramen. The issue that really docks points is that the broth was just not right. It was over-reduced, or something otherwise went wrong because the texture was less creamy and more...thickened? Viscous? Unpleasant. It left this slightly gritty strange coating on the tongue. Also, it tasted like straight up bones and water. Severely under-seasoned. And the measly slices of chicken (give us 4 if they're going to be that small) did not have a touch of much-needed salt. The noodles were seasoned very well though, so I did enjoy those bites especially when I doused that baby in their delicious spicy sauce. The seasoned egg was nice and I'm glad it came with one whole egg and not a half. Also glad the bowl came with spinach because lord knows we need more fiber. As I ate the noodles, I enjoyed the bowl, but I couldn't slurp the soup. That's arguably at least half the experience, right? I want to give 4 stars because genuinely, that takoyaki is GOLD. That alone is like eight stars, off the charts. However, this is a ramen spot. The ramen is, alas, important.
