I heard a lot about this particular genre of food. I was not familiar with Poke' at all. Strangely enough, I enjoy sushi Immensely but had never tried this Native Hawaiian cuisine. There is a first time for everything and, for the life of me I can't figure out what in the world took me soooooo long to indulge in this delightfully delicious Hawaiian dish. This incredible combination of perfectly balanced proteins and carbs is a wonderful contribution to the sun city. My palate was delightfully surprised by the introduction of raw marinated cubed fish layered up with a satisfying serving of sticky rice, seasoned to perfection and served in a bowl. The spicy tuna platter with the kale noddles and brown rice was exceptional. I must go back this weekend to explore what more they have to offer. I have become an instant fiend, OMG yum yum!

Small with brown rice, ahi tuna and salmon, lots of vegetables, avocado, crispy garlic and onions, double cucumber salad.

Poke on the Eastside! Finally! I've been here 3 times and have had a pleasant experience every time. The employees didn't rush me, the music was at a nice volume, and the place was clean. They have a great variety of proteins and toppings (please add kimchi!), but I wish they had a better selection of sauce. I'd love to see sesame oil and garlic chili oil! A minor annoyance is the plating, the rice is a scoop separated from everything, which makes it hard to get rice in every bite and/or mix it all together (which I am a fan of). I can't complain too much because it's quick, convenient (I don't have to drive over to the Westside of town to get poké) and healthier than most other options in that area.

Build Your Own Medium Poke Bowl. white rice, spicy tuna, tofu, shrimp cucumber salad, fried onions, fried garlic. Sweet chili sauce.

Poke-lisous. I had a medium 1.5 scoop white rice and 3 proteins. I had the spicy tuna, shrimp, tofu with white rice, some fried onions and fried garlic for some crunchy texture. Definitely the best place on this side of town if you don't wanna drive 20+ minutes anywhere else. If I could afford it I'd come here on a daily basis for a post workout meal. Only downside is they could use more sauce variety. I suggest chili oil (easy to make), sesame oil, soy sauce. Other than that I don't have anything to complain about. Usually I'm a large bowl plus one more type of guy but I had a small appetite tonight.

This updated review is brought to you in part by, "first impressions aren't always necessarily the…read morelasting impressions". Since the original inception of this place and our initial discovery, something has been wavering just a bit. The consistency. Ultimately, the food still tastes as great as it did the first time we ever ordered it. However, there have been a number of inconsistencies in their execution. But to name a few, there's things like.. Lack of white sauce, too much white sauce, too much spice, forgotten proteins, inexplicably missing rice, half a lobster tail's meat sticking to the shell whilst the other half breaks off with ease.. ...and SO on. At this point, it's safe to say I have mixed feelings about this place. I still LOVE their seafood. I'm just irritated by their inconsistent execution, depending on what day it is, who's working, or how many people even decided to show up to work that day. I know this probably sounds like a negative review. But let me sum this up with the following: the food is still awesome, but the execution needs some touching up. And it is with this rationale that I must update my original review from 5 stars...to 4. Still highly recommend them. But....proceed with the aforementioned caveats. In other words, check your food before you depart the building. If you want to read about why the food is so good, check out my first review of this place. Thank you.

This place is fricken GOOD, I've tried so many sea food spots in El Paso and most are ehhhh ok I…read moreguess but this place is hands down best spot I've been to so far, I got the fish po boy and my wife got the fish n chips and it blew us away, the po boy had so much flavor and was a big sandwich super seasoned fish and perfectly fried my wifes fish n chips were also perfectly fried with amazing texture and the sauce that came with it was also extremely good, I rarely write reviews but when a place is this good I gotta say something and let the people know this is the place to go!!! Only down side was the food took a while to come out but honestly that wasn't even a problem with how amazing the food was, good things take time and this was more than good it was an experience !!!

The restaurant is tucked into a small strip center off of Lee Trevino - it's not a huge dining space but there are plenty of tables and bar seating available. Board games such as Connect Four, Checkers, etc available to play. Lots of menu options to choose from. The crab nachos caught our attention to start with as an appetizer. For the main courses we ordered Fish & Chips, Shrimp & Chips and a plate with three tacos (asada, shrimp & fish). The nachos were unique but I think I'd opt for the chips & queso that I saw the table next door enjoying, next time. For the main courses, our favorite was the shrimp (alone & in the taco), followed by the asada taco and then the fish (alone & in the taco). Fries were crisp and good too. Overall, solid 4 star rating, with good service from the staff.

This has become an issue at some restaurants. The Ambiance is pleasant and not "noisy". A very pleasant experience. As we were seated our waiter took 10 min to great us and then another 12 min to bring our drinks. I didn't think anything of it yet it was a precursor to the rest of our dinner. After he took our order our kids food came out in a very timely fashion but our two orders of salmon and one steak sandwich took 40 min to arrive at the table. What a ridiculous waste of my time because my sandwich was missing the fries ordered and our waiter thought nothing of it till I brought it up then he took another 10 min to bring my fries. All this while simultaneously forgetting the sauce for the salmon which also took another 10 min to bring out. The salmon was so dry it was tacky and stuck to your teeth. If you know the feeling you know it's bad. The rice that came underneath the salmon was crunchy and way undercooked. All while the waiter was like oh I can bring you free deserts for your wait all while I could only think about how I just wanted to leave. I was internally livid and exhausted but kept it to my self after seeing the owner or manager who we the guy with the white hair over at the bar enjoying a few alcoholic beverages meanwhile his restaurants service and waitstaff to the worst possible job they can. I saw the people who got the most attention and good service were all regulars sitting at the bar laughing it up with the manager/owner older guy. Why not make sure your restaurant is running smoothly and food is being delivered and prepared properly and stop trying to impress the regulars who most likely will show up either way. Any restaurant that is this unorganized and unmotivated is due to crappy management. All this and the waiter is like I'll comp you for the steak sandwich with a discount for the bad service and salmon which was a whopping $5. I don't want a discount I don't want free day old desserts I want good service and decent food. Discounts and free desserts will never fix the problem because it will always be a crutch for trashy customer service. How about stop drinking with the guests and whoop that staff into semi decent shape buy some high chairs and make sure your expo does a once over quality check on the food and time it takes to get to the table EVEN if that means stepping in and doing it yourself. The restaurant is dark the tables are sticky the whole place is very compact . Perfect and quite attractive after 5-6 wines for sure. I'm sure the food is outstanding after a few drinks as well . They gave us a $25 dollar gift card to return which if I could I'd give to the owner so he could experience the same horrible food and service we did. I wouldn't even give the gift card to someone I hated. This was one of the first times in a long time I didn't just let it slide because I understand all restaurants and people have bad days but this was exceptionally bad. If you are thinking it can't be that bad think again it absolutely can. The whole "I'm sorry we usually have awesome service and everyone loves our food it's probably just me and my family " is laughable . This isn't my first time here while visiting El Paso. The food is getting worse.
