The beef pieces had a ton of fat and the pieces were little tiny squares smaller than a piece of poke. The veggies were overcooked and mushy and the celery was stringy. I had to throw it away. In comparison to Young's Fish Market Beef Stew, Yama's was a real let down. The laulau was undercooked and yet the pork was dry, so out it went as well. I think I will stick with Young's Fish Market for both of those things as they do it perfectly with tender lau laus and moist proteins perfectly seasoned on the inside.

I do have shellfish allergies so don't eat much seafood though Tako is Octopus in Japanese is something that I can have but don't eat as well is found in this yummy treat famously found in Osaka is conveniently right here in Honolulu daily from 12 noon to 7pm. With several fun and unique offerings including Tako-sen which you have three pieces sandwiched between to Tako rice crackers probably giving it a nice crunch to the delicate takoyaki bites but since it's mom's favorite I decided on two "Original Takoyaki" and "Black Truffle Oil & Mayo" which is their current special sounds too bougie to resist. I did have one of the Black Truffle special without the Tako and loved it as it was nice and definitely had the ruffle flavor yet still so flavorful and delicate. Mom says the size of the Tako was very generous and loved it where she couldn't stop eating them. The other thing I really loved is the packaging where many serve them in boats that makes it so hard to transport if you're driving while these were perfectly packed making it very easy and stress free.
