The fries normally come with sweet potato fries but I swapped mine for regular fries because I just wasn't feeling sweet potato that day. The fries were honestly kind of underwhelming. It was basically fries with dynamite sauce and only a few pieces of garlic confit, which was the part I was most excited for. They weren't bad, just really underwhelming. I honestly think the sweet potato fries probably would've worked better with the flavors. The crawfish bowl though was really good. The crawfish had this slight smoky flavor to it like it was lightly torched and they give you a lot in each bite. The rice was fluffy and cooked perfectly and the pickled radish on top helped cut through all the richness from the sauces. Everything worked really well together flavor wise. My only complaint is that halfway through the bowl the flavors started blending together a little too much and it gets boring, but overall it was still super satisfying and filling. Definitely still one of my favorite quick lunch spots in Carmel Mountain and somewhere I'd bring friends because the menu has so many good options. Their dessert menu also sounds insane so I already know I'll be back.

Today I ordered uber eats from there. I wanted La Basil Thai but they're not on Uber Eats. So anyway, the sushi rolls were weird. The rice is not the sushi rice I've had at other places and the salmon and tuna didn't seem fresh. I asked for extra salmon on both and I couldn't tell if I got extra $10 worth. I don't think they added anything extra. They just charged me more. Within about an hour or two I started noticing an allergic reaction, like hives, on my skin on different areas of my body. It eventually went away but I can't think of anything else I had today that could've caused it except for the sushi. It happened to my wife too. The only common denominator was the sushi today. I won't be going back or ordering from there again.

From the second I walked in, she was rude, arrogant, dismissive, and behaved as though serving me was somehow beneath her. She took forever to come over, acted like acknowledging me was a personal burden, and carried herself with an attitude that was completely out of place for someone whose job is literally serving in a mom and pop joint in the middle of nowhere. Meanwhile, she had no problem hovering around and repeatedly checking on other tables. That kind of selective attention does not go unnoticed. If you work in a small local restaurant, treating customers with contempt is not confidence. It is simply bad service and terrible business sense. Get an education. Maybe take a class or two in customer service and business ethics before bringing a sorry attitude to the very customers who keep the doors of your business open in this economy. And here is a lesson worth remembering: never underestimate a customer. The person ordering a $20 lunch could very well be the person who leaves a $200 tip when treated exceptionally well. You have no idea who is sitting in front of you or how many other customers they may send your way. A customer should never have to compete for basic courtesy. Lose the arrogance. Learn some manners. Learn what hospitality actually means. Treat people poorly and they will simply take their money elsewhere. That is exactly what I did, and I would not return.
