We ordered to-go and unfortunately, most of the dishes missed the mark: 7. Spicy Chicken Wing: Overly fried. The outside was extremely crunchy, but it left the inside very dry. 88. House Fried Rice: Very bland and lacked any real seasoning or flavor. 69. String Bean with Black Bean Sauce: Overcooked and quite soggy. 50. Ma Pu Tofu with Pork: This was the best part of the meal and was decent, though it lacked the characteristic pepper/spice kick I was looking for. Overall, for the price, I expected better execution. What a letdown.

Mongolian Beef ($13.95) - I was impressed by the portions and quality given the very fair prices! The Mongolian Beef had the perfect combination of sweet and savory with a little kick to it. I'd get this again and look forward to trying more dishes here!

Superb hospitality. We enjoy some of our dishes. Fresh ingredients and made fresh to order. Although the wings were crispy and flavorful, they didn't look like the wings I'm accustomed to. We enjoy the ambiance. It was clean and had TV monitors. Great concept. Definitely will go back. We felt welcomed. Beautiful warm environment.

This is a small takeout spot in Escondido but they do offer dine in options as well The dinner combos are a great value with a variety of options and really big portions considering the price, we went for dinner combo A: that came with egg drop soup, two appetizers, rice or noodles, and two entrees Everything came out quickly and the the server was very consistent in checking in and making sure everything was great which was really appreciated!

    One and done

Went to not realizing I had been to the location in previously Mixed review of the food overall a mediocre experience for Chinese food in the area Lots of promotions, not too many options of tofu overall was not good There's so many ways to prepare tofu dishes, but this one just didn't hit the core quality like the place, but myself and my dining partners were not impressed Not the best place to dine in

If you're looking for mediocre Americanized Chinese food, this is it. This joint is far enough from San Gabriel Valley or San Diego's Kearney Mesa to where people won't compare the difference between good vs. mediocre food. With that being said, the price point and portion sizes are good values. Service is your typical Chinese fast food service; temper your expectations as they won't go above and beyond in this department. I've been here over 50 times. Yes, you read that correctly, over 50 times. Food has gone way downhill due to the turnover of chefs and it seems a though every chef doesn't follow the standard recipes since when they first opened; some don't even know how to balance sugar and salt ratio to where you'll have a savory dish one day and get the same dish but overly sweet on the next visit. Consistency is nonexistent. All in all, I must say that I won't be ordering from this establishment again due to all the aforementioned deficiencies. It was a nice run China Bros.

    86. Chicken Fried Rice the worse I've ever had soggy rice no chicken very few veggies!

Chicken Fried Rice the worse I've ever had soggy rice no chicken very few veggies! My god how do you screw rice up! In the trash it goes! Along with the awful noodles the only thing that was edible was the fried potstickers!!! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone! Don't waste your money! They don't even deserve a one star!!! Can't believe they aren't out of business! You put Chinese food to shame!

$14 for one small plastic container of chow mein? That's a little crazy. So disappointed and dissatisfied.

Those dinner combos are a great bang for your buck. Workers are dedicated and passionate, great service and perfect for a quick takeout.

Ask the Community - China Bros

    Do they have cold noodles?

No. You'd have to find a really traditional Chinese restaurant for cold noodles.

    Are the potstickers meat free?

Nope. Nothing at this place is free, they nickel and dime you every chance they get.

    Anything vegan here?

not sure about pure vegan but for sure vegetarian and their fried tofu with veggies is good as is almost everything we've tried.

Tried to place an order online for delivery and after putting in my address, was told my address is outside the delivery area of within 5 miles of the restaurant. However, ALL map apps say I live 3 miles from the restaurant. What gives?

It may not be up and running yet. Try placing the delivery order on the phone instead. When I picked up a togo order about a week ago, they looked like there were still trying to get things organized. It was a bit chaotic.

She is also incredibly generous with her portions whenever she serves you. Unfortunately, ever since the other employees were hired, the customer service seems to have gone downhill. They often try to serve the smallest portions possible, and they rarely seem to be in a good mood. It really takes away from the warm, welcoming atmosphere that this place was once known for. I still love the food and have a lot of respect for the owner, but I hope the staff can bring back some of that same energy and hospitality. The food deserves it, and so does the owner!

The wings had decent flavor, but some of the chicken pieces seemed oddly shaped and were difficult to eat. The BBQ pork was decent as well, although unfortunately I was given several burnt end pieces that were too hard/burnt for me to eat. There's definitely some room for improvement with the food, but between the great customer service and the items I did enjoy, I'm willing to give them another shot. I'll return and try something different next time.

I've gone here multiple times and have ordered the chili oil dumpling, beef and scallion steamed dumpling and the chicken broth dumplings. Full of flavor every time! After a dumpling spot in Encinitas quit serving some of the items that I enjoyed, we gave it one more shot here because, well you know when you are in the mood for Dumplings.. N more? you are in the mood. The next time was so much better, they must have put handcuffs on whoever controlled the saltshaker before. We have now been here quite a few times and always have a good experience with the food. Is it upscale here? No, is it clean? also probably no lol but the food has been good and consistent. Go to here are always the garlic green beans, and egg with wood ear mushrooms. The wood ear mushrooms are served warm, and I quite like them compared to the normal way I am accustomed to having them, cold and served in a vinegar-based sauce. Normally we will rotate in another item such as the Wontons in red chili oil, which are delicious.
