I started making arrangements for our move about three weeks ago and the process has been rather straightforward. I really like how flexible the delivery and setup dates can be. While the cost does at first appear twice or even three times larger than a uHaul, the convenience is really nice. Before our move I had to change dates and eventually cancel our order because of changing requirements from us, but PODS was super quick and helpful for any of our issues. We didn't end up going through the whole process, but the customer service was top notch. Additionally, the cost is competitive in my opinion because of the convenience of not having to drive your items yourself and the door to door service. As we begin to transition closer to our home being built, I know I will use PODS again in the future because of the ease and value. read more

In December 2025 I requested an estimate for 2 Pods delivered to a long distant location. The price was reasonable. The sales person said I need to pay a deposit to hold the price, so I did. She asked for date that we would move. I told her I don't know when my house will sell. She said call them when it does. I did not sign an agreement or contract. Then on Feb. 28th they dropped a POD unbeknownst to us. We requested they come get it and they did. They broke a beautiful tree and destroyed our fence. Some people at their company said we did not owe them anything. Others said we owed approximately $500. They took the money from our bank without authorization. read more

Movers BEWARE!!! I arranged for a PODS container to be delivered to my home in January 2026, and during that initial call I clearly explained that I would eventually be moving to a new address once my current home sold. At no point was I informed that service availability could be an issue based on location. Today, when I called to have my container delivered to my new home--just 43 miles away--I was shocked to learn that PODS does not service my new zip code. This is critical information that should have been disclosed upfront when I first booked their services. As a result, I'm now forced to unload everything from the 16' container into my garage after already paying nearly $600 for three months of rental, plus delivery fees. On top of that, I now have to rent a U-Haul, reload everything, and move it myself--completely defeating the purpose of using PODS in the first place. While they did offer a $50 credit, it doesn't come close to covering the additional costs, not to mention the frustration and inconvenience this situation has caused. PODS Jacksonville isn't giving me a warm and fuzzy feeling. Trying to schedule our pick up and they say they can't schedule both pods. We have to go to PODS Jacksonville to unload and they don't have appointment left to do both pods. When I scheduled to have them moved to Jacksonville I also scheduled the day we would have them for pick-up. Now they don't show any appointments made. They're over booked for that day, 12/09/2025 at 8 am. We have movers going to pods to unload them since they don't come to our area. What the hell! read more

One of the worst service experiences I've ever had. We booked PODS in July 2024 from Jacksonville, FL (32207). They had no problem placing our container in the street when we moved out. In May 2025, we scheduled delivery to our new home (32205) for May 24. We confirmed three separate times that if the driveway didn't work, they'd place the container in the street again. A rep even told us they could do a same-day delivery and pick-up with a four-hour window. We agreed. But suddenly, on delivery day, they called and refused delivery without even attempting it because the street "looked too narrow on Google Maps." They claimed our zip code was flagged due to previous tow issues and they "can't deliver to the street." We offered to get a city permit within the hour. I even work for the City. But they refused. We asked for the after-hours warehouse access waiver, but no one could reach the regional manager to send it. By the time we finally got the waiver (days later), it was too late. We lost our U-Haul, our movers, and our weekend. And then they told us Jacksonville doesn't offer same-day delivery and pickup anyway, even though we were told they did. Now it's three days later. Still no pod. No confirmation of warehouse access. And they charged us an additional month of storage because our renewal was on the 26th and they failed to deliver on the 25th. We've spent 30+ hours on the phone, mostly with offshore support. No one can help. Tickets submitted. No resolution. PODS can't follow their own policies. They give you conflicting info until they have your stuff, and then you're trapped. Do not use PODS. read more

I needed a pod for about a year and the one they sent me leaked every time we opened the door. You think knowing I needed to store my belongings for that long they would have sent me a newer one. I had mildew all over my furniture. When I needed to remove it I could not get it picked up before the next payment schedule for the month. They picked up 5 days after and would not reimburse my money for that month. So I paid $235.00 for 5 days when it should have been prorated . When I called she said that they should have told me that in the beginning which they did not. Overall I am not happy with this company to pay all that money and furniture getting ruined and then ripping me off at the end. read more

I was supposed to have a delivery yesterday from 3:15-6:15 delivery window. A delivery I scheduled 5 weeks ago. The window was later updated to 4:49-7:49. I called as that window end time was nearing and was told the truck was going to be there that night. Called back at 8:30 and they rescheduled my order for the next day. No time guarantee or eta. At 10:30 that night I got another delivery window for 3:15-6:15. Called them and was told it was 4:49-7:49. This is poor customer service. I called their call center but they're based in the Philippines and have no control or ability to help with anything. They will not give you the warehouse phone number. I do not recommend this company. I'll give an update when my pod is finally delivered. read more

If I could give them six stars, I would. I had the worst moving experience with international vanlines and their contractor American Knights moving coming from Pittsburgh to Jacksonville. On the Jacksonville side, I decided to put all of my stuff in pods, working with the folks there on Mallory Road was fantastic. They made it so easy! there were things that needed to be done and they just took care of it, they honestly were so flexible and so kind to me on a very stressful day that I just can't recommend them highly enough. It is a great service! they are incredibly accommodating and again the service that I received from Chris Starr and his team was top notch. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. Customer service representatives are not well trained and I was bounced around on the phone multiple times. When scheduling my delivery the, representative did not complete their end and my pod was not delivered on the day I was told it was scheduled, upon investigation by another representative on the day it was supposed to arrive, it was discovered my pod was still at its original location 2,000 miles away. We ended up waiting 32 days for our POD to arrive after we were told it would take 1 week. No one has returned my messages for compensation and we were additionally charged a month's storage, even though it was THEIR fault it took a month. DO NOT use this company. *1st update* I immediately replied to the email that they posted in their response. I asked them to reply back to my email within 24 hours with an answer to my requests for making this right. I will update this review as appropriate. read more

Customer for life. I know this place has new management and I just want to bring recognition and attention to a specific employee, Dan. We arrived here on a Saturday and had some serious woes trying to get into our Pod, due to some items shifting during the move. Dan was the only employee at the facility and he went above and beyond to make sure that he was being attentive to all other customers and also helped us exercise every option to eventually get into the Pod. We had to drive over 5 hours to get here so to say this effort by him meant the World to us, is a massive understatement. Your pods and personal belongings are dealt with the upmost caution and care. However, I still stand with the cheer "Dan, Dan, he's our man..." I hope management does give recognition because it's more than due in the case and I will refer as much storage and moving business here as I can as a result of his customer service. read more

Booked 8 weeks in advance, and needed the pod placed in the street. It was on my account, and they even recommended street placement. We verified this was ok with our neighborhood as well. Day of delivery, "driver" calls and says this happens all the time, they are unable to drop the pod in the street in my area. So, I asked my neighbor to use his driveway, called back, and they said they can't deliver next door because that isn't the address on file. I called the main line again, because you can't reach the actual store that's supposed to deliver to you, and they told me to call back in a couple of hours and that they would have the problem resolved. When I did this, they told me my order had been canceled because there wasn't enough room to drop the pod, even though they did not even look at the driveway next-door, and they did nothing to rectify the situation. I was shuffled around to a few "supervisors ", people read off of a script basically telling you that it's too bad and there's nothing they can do. This company does not stand behind their work. This left us in a lurch, and now we are struggling to find somebody to pack up our stuff and a place to put it because we're supposed to move tomorrow. Completely unacceptable and avoid at all costs. We have had many challenges with PODS. First they communicate with you on your scheduled drop off and pick up at 6 pm the night before. When there is an issue the distribution facility is closed, and no way to communicate. Second the facility that is in charge of the delivery and pick-up does not have a phone number to communicate. So if there is a mistake in their system there is no way to tell them about it unless you wait on hold thru the customer service center and hope that the email they send to the facility gets read. Our situation: we had to get approval from an HOA for pick up and delivery of the POD. We had communicated with PODs customer service of our requirements and they said there would be an additional charge which we agreed to pay. Even after numerous calls and communication the information was not read by the PODs pick up and delivery facility causing us to not have moving help and not getting the PODs delivered to meet the HOA requirement. The PODs organization, customer service although very kind and helpful on the phone, does not communicate directly with their distribution center making it impossible to get any issues resolved and impossible to schedule people to unload or load the POD. read more

PART 2 so those who have read my rant on this company, I know its kind of early to write a second review but this is the only way I can get this information out to those who have thought of using this company . PLEASE!!!! I BEG YOU. DO NOT USE THEM.... yesterday 3/31/22 I was on the phone for over an hour with yet another untrained, uncompassionate agent, although I have been upset I was still professional even when at times she would speak over me as if all the damage was done to her and not I. in order to resolve a charge for a service that I no longer have and an account that should have been closed because their systems shows their pod is in their own facility, returned in the new state that I now live in. I called my credit card carrier today to not only ask if the credit was given back (BTW it doesn't show yet if they even credited my account so now I had to blocked them from any charges coming from PODS myself) they closed my account yesterday 3/31/22 and took my card off their records so that this does not continue to happen at least this is the story they are sticking with . (again please keep in mind. I don't know if they have credited me back yet because it does not show on my credit card carrier) I find it funny that today 4/1/22 yes folks the following day I now have a charge of 218.33. WTF!!!! I find it hilarious how a agent reached out to me via email instead of trying to speak to me but hey that's fine ill go along and wrote back I get an instant reply that they are not in the office till a later date.... again they need to make a 0 zero as in NONE star rating. they do not deserve the slightest attention. read more

I was promised a quote of 2715.00 to move from 1 state to another. I was charged over 3000.00 with no reason for the over charge after several phone calls. I had over 2000.00 in damaged furniture. When I purchased the Pod I was told that it comes with 10,000 in insurance to pay for broken items. After filling out an Insurance claim and waiting a month, I was told that my damage was my fault due to poor packing and transporting the pod. Pods then said they only pay for damage caused from Wind, Storm, Fire, Rain, etc. poor excuses not to cover my items. they Lied to me and I will never use them again!! The flimsy, little pod container is a joke as well, I Hate I used them!! read more

I am torn on recommending pods. Parts of the moving process was good and others stressful. Getting the pods at my original destination and filling them was flawless. Delivery was the problem. I did a California to Florida move. 3 large pods. Had delivery spaced out so I would not have all 3 delivered at once. 2 of the pods were not delivered on promised original date with threw everything off. Communication is frustrating because you are only given the main hub number and not your local delivery location. Communication between the main hub and each location was not great. Once delivered the items inside although secured like we were told, were a jumbled mess. We realized one pod must have been in an accident because a huge hole was patched on the side but was splintered inside. Perhaps a shorter distance move Pods are ok. If I could do it all over, I'd use a long distance moving truck company. read more

Scheduled moving services with PODS from Ca to Fl when my container finally arrived the door was jammed shut and dented outwards, the driver had to tilt the container to the back side to make everything fall to the back of the container to help me open the door. He told me to file a claim with PODS and that I would be reimbursed for all the damages since everything was so messed up. My MAC computer, 70" tv, brand new dressers and many other things were severely damaged and some things destroyed, it looked as if they had an accident or the container was tossed around. After over two months and sending in proof and pictures I was told my claim was denied because they didn't have any reports from the drivers and there was nothing they can do about it and I was lucky that I was able to get the door open because I'm other cases they have to cut the door off to open the container and the person is responsible for cost and damages of the door as if it's the customers fault. 1/10 would not recommend their services unless you are willing to have your stuff damaged and have to buy all new stuff. read more

Super easy to reserve on their website with the ability to change delivery dates, reasonable prices, set up the location of the POD on your driveway or street, and they showed up on time both times. Another rude driver. Wanted us to sign a waiver because the drop off driver put the container on a patch of grass. Not my problem. I decided to use PODS to store all of my belongings until my husband received a new duty station in the Navy. Our initial experience with PODS was great. They were cooperative, helpful, and convenient. PODS assured us that our stuff would be stored in a climate controlled environment until we needed it. One year later, we were assigned a new location. Speaking with the call center started off well. We told them the location and time we needed it delivered. The specialist said they accommodate all time requests for delivery. My husband found out he was being sent to training and I had called back to set up a new time for delivery. The specialist I spoke with this time said no time can be guaranteed on any order. If that's the case then why was I told differently the first time I called? Why are not all associates on the same page with information? Why is PODS not is convenient as they appear to be? My husband, who is busy with military training, called and they escalated his call and we were told we would receive immediate follow up to resolve our issue. Absolutely no one followed up with us. Moving in the military is hard enough on families and I feel like PODS made it twice as complicated. I feel like they say what you want to get you to move with them, but when it matters they drop the ball. I also do not think the POD is climate controlled. If it was, why were all my things covered in moisture and mold? I've washed stuff multiple times and no luck in getting the smell out. I was disappointed in how poorly military families were treated. Next time, I think I'll just move myself and not count on PODS to help. read more
