Terrible company. First of all, they have a lot of hidden fees. Second, they refused to move clothes that were in plastic bags claiming they didn't want to be responsible for damages. Then they don't wrap anything. They give no regards to people's property. They scraped my brand new bowflex equipment and my new Pottery Barns tables. I told the guy to file a claim with their insurance and that was six months ago and I haven't heard back from them. I should hire an attorney. Use any other company but this one. read more

These great people rescued me from an EPIC NIGHTMARE situation with a company called ATI movers. I was left stranded on the day of my move after what I can only describe as the most unprofessional experience ever! Day or Night Movers is amazing. This company was recommended to me off-hand by a friend who I called hysterically after the ATI disaster- and when I called and tearfully explained my situation to the lovely office manager, they kindly fit me in last-minute. I mean, there I was, all packed and no one to move me... but they came through. BIG TIME! God bless them. Not only that, they showed up within 30 minutes of my phone call, which was a comfort, considering the movers I had originally booked with (ATI) showed up VERY late and then couldn't get parked and started! I cannot say enough about the professionalism of these men, or their courtesy towards me. They were very kind and they worked SO hard to get me moved. They treated me as if I had been on the books for weeks. They put me at ease and laughed with me. They wrapped up my furniture and everything was transferred perfectly. I am so, so grateful to them for everything. Moving is so difficult, but they made me smile and relax after a really awful morning. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Thanks, guys. SCAMMERS!!! Beware and do not SHOP HERE! Movers found every excuse to not lift, pack or move certain items in my brothers house. Left the job early because of "rain". Charged $434.69 for 2 hours of work and left an entire house left to be moved. A HIDDEN TRAVEL fee for $132. We were told $112 an hour for 2 hours, and a fuel charge for $12. They added a 3rd worker for $18 an hour. That's a total of $260. We were quoted $260 and they left EARLY bc of weather and refused to take apart the IKEA bed, lift heavy items and complained about the work. They billed us $434.69. DO NOT USE THEM! Joe, the owner, then threatened my 60 year old mother w calling the police because she gave a poor review and came into the store to question the invoice. DO NOT USE!!!! Ok. So this place was bad enough I finally signed myself up for a yelp account, having avoided it for years despite loving yelp. I called to find out their pricing and all seemed normal enough. The lady on the phone made my reservation for the move ($100 up front) said she'd send me some documents to look at, sign, and send back. Great I thought. This should be easy peasy. Not so much.... The two documents she forwarded me were your standard contractual paperwork. What wasn't standard was the different fonts, the highlighting, the quotes and whatnot. It was a VERY busy form. Not professional or standard. And you're probably thinking "wtf mate, who reviews a place because of their shitty paperwork." Well, it's relevant because in all that highlighting and coloring, they very cleverly hid all the extra exorbitant fees they'll charge you. That they don't mention up front. All in all, for two and a half hours of work and a 2 bedroom apartment w your standard amount of furniture (desk, couch, tv, two beds, kitchen stuff, and two bikes), I paid close to $600. And we were only moving 12 blocks south of the old place. Bottom line, read the paper work very carefully. Or just rent a u haul truck, like we should have done.... read more

Have used these guys 3 times now for local, in town moves and wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Amanda has always been super friendly and helpful over the phone, and encourages you to call with any questions at all. The movers themselves have always been prompt, courteous, and professional, handling my stuff with care. As with any contract, you must read everything and understand the fees before signing. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was the lead mover who wrote up the paperwork added 30 minutes on to the end time and 15 minutes onto the start time, which can add $$; they also left some trash at the old place which just added to my cleaning at the end of the day. I still would not hesitate to use them again and to recommend them to family and friends. read more

The owner is consistently friendly, helpful, and courteous and I am a fan of their recycle center, There is a very good selection of used boxes and packing supplies, which is helpful on the budget and the environment. read more

We have used this company numerous times. They are great!! Because of the customer service we get from them we ALWAYS go back. The fees are normal fees that most if not all movers charge. I would advise anyone to stay away. My move was on 05/04/2013... I called on a Thursday to move that Saturday, the young lady advised me they had plenty of trucks and would send over 2 men and a truck to my storage Unit to load it up and bring to my new place. During that time I had a family member down stairs watching them load the truck and I upstairs watching the handling. That part went fine, then we get to my place and I notice my things are wet! I dry them off as the truck is unloaded. we could not get my c ouch through the door so they backed the truck up to my balcony and I lifted the couch inside... that's when I noticed holes in top of truck, that's how my belongings got wet. My new furniture ended up scratched, and things I saw them load onto truck NEVER made it into my place. I called them and advised them, the owner was a rude lil man, then I filed with better business..they called and the girl starts with he ordered us on a Wednesday for a Saturday move...." Isn't that your J-O-B???!!" Needless to say I was robbed and they are not worth a crap. Try them if you like but all they care about is that days cash. Save yourself stress and money - do NOT hire this company! They called us the morning of our move and delayed by 4 hrs saying they couldn't move in the rain (even though it stopped sprinkling 20 minutes after they called). Then when they did arrive they showed up with a crew member who had ZERO training - they admitted this when we asked because they were trying to show him how to lift things and giving him very basic instructions, etc. Then when it started raining later that afternoon suddenly it became our responsibility to call off the move for the day so that our stuff didn't get soaked and ruined and they then charged us for overnight storage and additional costs! What happened to "we can't move in the rain because of our liability insurance" that was their excuse earlier in the day?? Overall, slowest move we've had in 5+ professional moving companies which of course cost us more. Move was almost double the cost of previous moves and nowhere near the estimate. Save yourself the trouble and avoid these scam artists. If I could give them zero stars, I would. read more
