This review is meant for both Tony Cortez as well as Dr. Joe Jaime, both of which I have been lucky enough to work with here in Claremont.
First, the facility. Spotless and sterile with all of the strength and conditioning equipment anyone could need to run an effective training center that brings clients from start to finish.
I first worked with Dr Jaime on my mobility and flexibility-- and let's just say we found more than I could've imagined that over the years I had neglected or been unaware of. Weird movements in my hands, overworked ankle and soleus muscles, etc etc etc. I could spend the entire review listing the somewhat minor problems I had that were contributing to my overall fatigue and inability to progress at the gym.
Unlike what most people think of a chiropractor as being, this wasn't all "popping" and "snapping." He targeted my specific areas, and focused on only the issues that I had. This was great for two reasons, we were 1. Able to continue onto more areas to fix during the session but 2. I was also able to see how minor issues in my left ankle (for example) were contributing to issues with my workouts.
The main benefit to working with Dr. Jaime has been the consistency. It's only one session at the end of the month, and I feel refreshed and recharged for the coming month. Each session I have felt more things "click" back into place, and most importantly: I haven't had a bad workout in 3 months. I just feel in tune with myself again after years of neglect, and that's something that I've never been able to get from a massage therapist.
This is permanent, lasting help.
The great thing about this place is that I am able to literally walk out of the chiropractor office into the gym area where I can immediately begin to fix the bad habits I've created from years of sub par movement.
Working with Tony on the intricacies of how to make my Squat or Olympic Lift better has made this place the whole package for me. Simple cues, and the results have been speaking for themselves. He is able to adapt any athlete, or lay person, and tailor a command to them to help them to understand their own body. Where I was before struggling, I am now excelling after years of stagnation.
Had I had him as a sports specialist in high school for sports, I'd have been winning Gold in Olympic Swimming.
There is no team better, especially in this area, that I would trust with myself or my kids or even clients at work that complain of an achey back or neck. read more
