I have been going to Rozina & Smith 3 days per week for the last 6 weeks to rehab a total knee replacement. I specifically requested to have my physical therapy there because of my wife's experience when she was rehabbing an injury. Every single member of the staff demonstrates a commitment to the improvement of each patient that walks through the door. They are ready and willing to answer questions about your recovery, they tailor each "exercise" based on input from the patient ( "how's your knee today? is there anything different from your last visit? How do you feel you're progressing?" ) I have input, and they will modify based on the feedback provided, but slacking off is not allowed. I'm greeted by name by every member of the staff (even those I have never worked directly with) from the front office staff to the Owners of the facility. I'm certain that they are as committed to my improvement as I am and I appreciate the fact that I'm an individual to them and not just another body that they have to treat. I would recommend Rozina & Smith without reservation to anyone in need of physical therapy, and if the need ever arises again, I won't go anywhere else. In closing, I would like to express my appreciation with everyone who has worked with me, answered all of my dumb questions, and brought me back to normal after my surgery. Just completed 6 weeks (6 sessions) of physical therapy at Rozina & Smith for painful bursitis and IT Band Syndrome in my right hip and thigh. Rozina & Smith Physical Therapy also has continuing care available. I have a patient of Jason's for many years for serious (to me) recovery. I then started with Kevin as my Personal Trainer. Except for a break during lockdown, I've been working with him for 6 years. I'm over 60, so it's been important to stay as strong and mobile as possible. Kevin has been great. Workouts are in the R&S clinic, so there's no pressure of being in "the gym". Highly recommended. Gabby is also a Personal Trainer there, who my daughter has been seeing for a couple of years now. I had been in pain for a few months without being able to resolve it without pain killers. I got an appointment with Rozina and Smith within 24 hours of calling. I was seen almost immediately after the paperwork was filled in, even though the place was full of patients. They are very organized! Mary identified my issue that first day, put a program in place which her helpful team helped me with, and 2 weeks later, my pain is already minimized and I am able to resume life almost normally! Mary listens attentively and always makes it clear that she heard you. She answered all my questions with openness and care - and I had a lot of questions!! She never made me feel rushed. She seems to be in control of everything even when her young team is helping you with exercises and she is with another patient. She corrected the way a young therapist was asking me to do an exercise, yet no word seemed to have been spoken. And it was done in such a way that I was made to feel comfortable and that things were done for me to be safer. Great experience all around. read more

I had a top notch experience with Rozina & Smith Physical Therapy following my hip replacement in December 2024. I've been to other physical therapy places, and treatment from the professionals here far exceeded that which I have experienced at other clinics. Every one of my appointments lasted an hour, and I worked one on one with either a physical therapist or assistant for the entirety of each visit. I really appreciated that they personalized care to my specific needs as opposed to the cookie cutter approach that I have encountered at other physical therapy clinics. I have always been active and as a relatively young (42) person recovering from a hip replacement, they quickly understood that I needed more challenging exercises than perhaps most hip replacement patients might require. My exercises progressed at a reasonable rate that ensured that the exercises remained challenging. All staff were friendly, and by the conclusion of my care here, nearly all staff knew me by name. The office staff was very easy work with, and was very helpful when I needed to change appointments or make payments. I will be sure to return to Rozina & Smith in the future should the need arise. read more

I recently had total knee replacement surgery, the start of my physical therapy was delayed for two weeks by my insurance company. When I called Rozina and Smith, the response was immediate, they scheduled me and my therapy sessions started right away. All the staff, front office, assistants and therapist are amazing. Unfortunately, I had an injury that my doctor said required physical therapy. Fortunately, I was referred to Rozina & Smith Physical Therapy. I scheduled my appointment and was treated by Mary, my Physical Therapist. She knew exactly what to do. In fact, my doctor was so confident with Mary that he told me to let her decide what treatment I needed for my injury. Mary explained what was happening to my knee and proceeded to treat me. I had instant relief. I continued with my appointments and now feel much, much better. I attribute my improvement to the care I received. Mary listened and always would help me understand what was going on. I love all of the aides that help Mary and the other Physical Therapists. The aides work great together as a team. If one aide is busy with a patient, the other one instantly picks up where the other one left off with you. It's great team work. Even Jason, another great Physical Therapist, offered me some good advice on a topical product to try at home. Again, more team work. I recently had my last appointment, I was given a cute parting gift of a T-shirt. I will wear it proudly as a badge of honor for completing my treatment!! So I called in to start treatment and spoke to Jolene. At first she was very pleasant and helpful said she would check my insurance. She followed up the next morning told me my what my out of pocket would be. She said I needed a referral letter and told I had one already. When she asked when it was given I told her 6/24/24. She said I needed a current one I told her that my referral said it was good till 12/24/24. According to her my PPO requires one within the last 30 days. I asked her if she could call the office and request that updated form. She said I would have to call and have them fax it. I told her well isn't that your job to contact the doctor office if needed she said not necessarily. It's the patient job to obtain that information. At that point I was a little upset and told her they are prolonging my treatment by requiring this, and apparently they didn't want the business. She then said if I wanted to go there I knew what was needed and if I didn't want to go there I didn't have to. That was their policy of what they needed. I told her for the amount I will be paying per visit you would think she would go the extra mile for a patient. At the end of the day I'm taking my business elsewhere, where they are willing to make the process a lot smoother and less attitude. Just seems like nowadays we have to do people's jobs in order to get what we need done. Obviously this lady didn't care about me getting treatment and being on the road to recovery. read more

I've had PT post Hip Replacement with the complication of Femoral Nerve Palsy FNP from Arrowheads Orthopedic, ggrrrr. I couldn't feel the entire interior of the leg. I am now able to walk without a cane for .9 miles. I still can't feel the interior mid thigh down to my ankle but I can walk and NOT FALL. I feel I was heard and given the best exercises to regain muscle and control. I need to feel my leg in order to ride and train my horses. All the people there were very respectful and helpful as I was/am very emotional over this issue. I'm still receiving PT for my left arm Frozen Shoulder. This is a very difficult and painful issue that left me like a T-Rex unable to reach up or back. Typically it can be 2 years until recovery. I have had significant improvement and decrease in pain in 8 months of therapy. I absolutely want to avoid any surgical treatment and I'm getting better incrementally. I was sent out of Kaiser here as they are impacted for PT and feel that I'm getting better quality treatment here than I would have from Kaiser. read more

I loved going here for my physical therapy. I started coming to them after I had my baby to help with pelvic floor and 4th trimester issues. Mary was so helpful, understanding, and very knowledgeable on what needed to be done. I even would bring my baby to my therapy sessions and Mary and the staff were very patient with us when my daughter would have her off days. The therapy helped so much and I have had a full recovery. Showed up at 3:00 for a 3:00 appointment. At 3:30 we asked if we had arrived on time. Was told we were to arrive at 3:00 for 3:30 treatment! Paperwork we had to fill out only took 10 minutes. I had complete right knee replacement and was so scared to do PT because I had heard how hard it would be. Mary walked in and explained they weren't there to hurt me, but to make me stronger. I had 18 sessions with Dylan, Valin, & Kevin assisting Mary. They were all fantastic!! I had a really hard time emotionally with this surgery and they all treated me with respect and comfort, keeping me on track. I saw an Orthopedic specialist that referred me to this facility rather than the hospital's physical therapy department I have seen in the past by other specialists. What an answered prayer it was! This facility is hands on and very intuitive to your specific needs. I did exercises and machines I have never done in the past and gained my strength in my hip that feels wonderful now. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone that wants a better approach on your specific needs. I have been to Rozina & Smith on multiple occasions and have been impressed every time. I first was a patient with Mary in 2007 following an ACL replacement surgery. Since then I have been for 2 more ACL rehabs, 2 shoulder surgery rehabs, and most recently my right shoulder with range of motion and pain issues. Within the first 3 visits I already notice a dramatic improvement in my range of motion and pain level. Once my treatment was complete I could resume all normal exercise activities. The entire staff at Rozina & Smith is top notch; compassionate, understanding, and encouraging. Even when their facility is busy they ensure you are receiving the attention and direction you need. I believe so much in their patient care and facility that this last treatment I was driving 25 miles each way because I knew I was going to receive the best treatment possible. Everyone here is helpful, friendly, and caring. I was made to feel comfortable and went from hobbling in with a walker to walking strongly during the course of my therapy. Jason provides good hands-on, knowledgeable care, and provides updates to my surgeon as needed. Stephen has also worked on my ankle and is very professional. I've never been a fan of physical therapy, especially at 7am. The fact that this staff was able to wake me up and have me leaving in a cheerful mood each session is already a credit to their expertise. Obviously, everyone working there is passionate about his or her career. Additionally, Olive, the adorable labradoodle, is ubiquitous, and hope that you get to see her on your appointments. I went in with a very severe ankle sprain with the possibility of years of healing and surgery. Within a month, I have gained nearly complete mobility, and the assessment is I won't need surgery. You have to want it though. It's tough to go to something that doesn't feel good- actually the massages hurt-so-good- but the exercises and stretches work. Also, take their advice and continue to work at home when possible. Thank you Mary, Jason, Sharleen, Tommy, Stephanie, and anyone else who put an ice pack on me at the end of a session. read more

I will shout it from the mountain tops if these people want me to. I suffered a major injury to my lumbar in 2007. I remained very active and ultimately enjoyed about 3-5 years without issue. After that, my problems progressed, until about 5 years ago, when things started getting completely out of hand, with paralytic spasms that would put me on the ground for hours at a time. After a complete lack of success finding either a doctor who would deign to order imaging for me or a provide me with a diagnosis, I tried a year at a major HMO (I won't say the name, but they are one of the biggest in the nation and prefer to handle everything in-house). I was met at every turn with resistance or complete unwillingness to treat me, and saw the most egregious ethics violations I'd ever witnessed (I grew up in the health industry and learned from an early age what to look out for). So, this year I switched back to a real health provider, and took my health advocacy back into my own hands. Enter Rozina & Smith . . . I was immediately met with an entirely different approach, a proactive and collaborative one. I work with DPT students at a local university and suddenly I was seeing everything we teach these students in action! The culture that they have set at R & S is so refreshing. They are empathetic, collaborative, and have been effective from the first five minutes. I say "five minutes," because it took that long for my amazing PT, Allen, to have a clear picture of my condition. He sized me up so fast, that we were "off to the races," instantly! I have had nothing but success at R&S, and have had my faith in the U.S. medical industry largely restored. Saints do exist! If you have any need for a PT, make a beeline to this place, and if your plan doesn't let you, please consider switching. I'm getting my life back because of them!! read more

I was sent to Rozina and Smith's originally to see if I could repair my shoulder injury with just therapy. While I was there the first time I received excellent care from the entire staff, everyone is personable and friendly. From day one I always received one on one time directly with the therapist who was knowledgeable and always answered my questions with the intent on getting me my best results. Even though they did a tremendous job on strengthening my shoulder a surgery was inevitable. Now a year later, I got my shoulder surgery came back, and 3 weeks in to therapy, my mobility is progressing faster than I expected. Jason and Mary provide care and treatment like you are part of their family! Rehabbing an ACL reconstruction and shoulder impingement/bone spur and Dr. Smith has kept in touch with my orthopedic doctor while monitoring my progress session by session not pushing me too hard and finding creative ways to ensure progress! The culture and environment is friendly and promotes growth and progress. I am a patient of Dr. Jonathan Lu and I chose him based on his certifications and training. Dr. Jon is very professional and also very personable. My first and most lasting impressions were that he listens in order to understand and that really cares about his patients. At every appointment I felt heard, which is most important to me, and he always provided clear communication about what was going on with my body. I made significant strides in my recovery in a few months and began to feel better in my body. I've had physical therapy before and it wasn't great. This time; however, has been fantastic. Rozina & Smith beats every other PT place, hands down! I had been having pain in my left piriformis and SI joint. I was waking up in severe pain 4-5 times a night, not getting any sleep, and walking was very painful. My spine doctor referred me to physical therapy and I honestly doubted it would work SO I put off going for 3 months. When it continued to get worse and I couldn't take it anymore I made an appointment with the owner, Mary Rozina. Mary was very thorough during my initial evaluation and I could tell she knew exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. She started me on a program with exercises that I could do at home in addition to what they have me do when I'm there. Within 4 visits I was sleeping so much better and often I would sleep straight through the night. As she added harder exercises to strengthen my muscles, I saw even more improvement. I'm walking better and I am not waking up constantly in pain. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Rozina and Smith. Mary Rozina has been a lifesaver. read more
