I was looking for "good drinks" to partake of in New Hope... which is an almost halfway mark for me & my sister. I landed on this place & the drinks looked great! It's located in a mini strip mall, across from my old dentist office & adjacent to Sarpinos. Server was great & so were her drinks. The place is a small distillery with a lot of drink options. Distillery = no food (for those who may wonder). There's like 10 tables & a bar. Small things also pack a mighty punch, like their drinks have. Lol Holler at Trish!

What was fun when you first walked in was the lighting to the place as it would change colors throughout the night that was calming. The distillery makes there own vodka, rum, and two types of gin for those who love their gin. In addition, they offered a variety of infused vodkas to have in your favorite cocktail. I had a jalepeno infused vodka shot, and it was like eating out of a garden. The staff were knowledgeable and passionate about their product and space. In addition the music was a person playing acoustic guitar that did not overwhelm the ambiance of the night. Highly recommend for great fun and infused ideas.

Totally unexpected strip mall cocktail bar in Hopkins. The hubs and I stopped in early afternoon and were pleasantly surprised! A family run business (6 siblings!) who love to share their passion for good liquor. They have a distillery on sight, the smallest distillery in the state! Stop by for a good drink and support a local business. Recommend the Aviation and Molten Guava.

Sooo many drinks to choose from, I have tried many and they're all great! Bartenders are very kind and take the time to make your drink perfect. I love the outdoor tables!

Top drink- guava something I already forgot Bottom drink- Can lime with sugar rim

Live the drinks. They don't go cheap on the liquor. Clean place, great staff! Good location, and nice prices!

Wow, this place was cool!…read more The entry is pretty hidden and parking requires a bit of work unless you do valet. We went on a Saturday night, so we had to wait a bit in order to be seated. However, it was worth the wait for us. There is a dark moody vibe and while my group went in for drinks, there are also options for food. The place itself is pretty loud - both with music and talking, so maybe not the best location for a first date. The drinks are expensive, but the experience was worthwhile for us. I enjoyed the meditteránea. I'll very likely be back! What a neat spot.

Fortunately, I arrived at 5:30 PM on a Saturday, which was early enough to avoid a line and a velvet rope. I don't wait in line for anything unless I'm at a pharmacy, bakery, post office, or airport. Lines at restaurants and bars strike me as pretentious or bad management, and I don't tolerate either. However, I'm old, and at my age, nothing is worth waiting for unless it's a necessity. I found a seat at the beautiful and expansive bar and looked around at the Del Prado design. The colors might be different, but Flora was reminiscent of Minari and Noma. All three add to the Twin Cities' cachet. However, I was taken aback by the attire I saw around me. People were dressed in shorts, T-shirts, and sneakers. It's friggen Saturday night Minneapolis. Have some class! Flora Room was a lovely cocktail lounge, perfect for wooing, but don't expect to strike up a conversation with any of the bartenders. At these Del Prado joints, the staff must be trained not to engage. I'm out alone and enjoy talking. Bartenders used to be part of a lounge's attraction when I grew up in NYC. They learned your name, knew what you did, and gave you a hearty welcome. That, I guess, is not part of the culture in Minneapolis. Well, at least not at the Del Prado restaurants and bars. Chef Del Prado is from Argentina, and certainly, Argentina is one of the warmest and friendliest countries in the world, so I don't get it. I now live up the block from the Flora Room. I'm a neighbor and would like to be treated like one. Neighborly and the Flora Room are distant concepts.

I ordered a grill cheese and got to choose the types of cheese as well as the side (I got fries). My mom & sister got chicken sandwiches and I tried a piece of the chicken, which was good and seasoned well. We also tried the fried pickles which were okay. They don't have a drink menu but will make you whatever they can as they have an open bar. I generally loved how friendly the staff were and how cozy the restaurant is overall! We will definitely be back!

Inside was definitely dark and moody, with decent music. There wasn't a single customer in the building and it looked like there were only two employees (a server and a cook). There was a sign that said they were short staffed, so that made sense. I ordered the grits with eggs and bacon. I was glad to see that the grits were a true stone-ground grit and they had some pepper jack cheese mixed in them. I asked the egg to be fried hard (I know, as a goodie it's a shock that I don't like runny yolks), and they did exactly that. I thought my meal was pretty good and I would definitely go again.

Upon entering we were greeted by a woman who was clearly wearing multiple hats as she seemed rushed, a bit off putting and quite frankly distracted. It was Juneteenth the middle of the afternoon and there were maybe 6 people at the bar and one other table besides ours with 2 diners. The person seating us was also our server and the bartender. Menu is small but the items we ordered were all fabulous! Every single one! The collard green dip with cornbread pita chips was absolutely delicious - Think spinach artichoke dip but soul food! The salmon croquettes with lemon herb aioli and arugula salad that accompanied were fresh and light! The catfish sandwich with fries was hot, crispy and well seasoned with fresh lettuce and tomato on a perfectly tender brioche bun. I want to return so bad for the food but it was clear this host, server, bartender and partial cook was pulled in too many directions and that severely compromised our service and gave us stand off energy as first time patrons. I looked it up and she is actually one of the owners. She came across as irritated especially once we didn't order any alcoholic drinks first and then very short and curt following. What took the cake was her telling us she was leaving for the day and needed to close our tab while we were eating. Didn't ask did we want to order anything else and there was another server taking her place and an empty restaurant! My partner had to put his sandwich down wipe his hands pull out his wallet while she stood there impatiently. Then proceeded to linger around hugging her regular bar patrons. It was clear this is a "regulars" spot and if you're not one you're rolling the dice on the service you may or may not get. We were patient and didn't complain because it was Juneteenth and our intention to support black restaurants all weekend. I have many previous years in the industry as a cook, host and GM and I was stunned to know that she was one of the owners when I looked it up. Had planned to return for live music but unfortunately the off putting energy and unwelcoming vibe may have squashed that possibility. I hope they improve service because the food is delicious and deserves attention from a larger and more sophisticated audience.
