I went to the dealership to purchase a vehicle after reserving it online. Prior to my visit, I had been communicating with a salesperson named Raymond for several days. At no point did he disclose that the vehicle would not be available when I arrived. When I got to the dealership, I was immediately asked how much the car was worth. I found this to be an odd question since I was not selling a vehicle. I later realized this inquiry appeared to be related to attempts to increase the sale price beyond what had been advertised online. This discrepancy between the advertised price and the price presented at the dealership raises serious concerns regarding compliance with California consumer protection laws and regulations governing vehicle advertising and pricing. Consumers have the right to rely on advertised prices when deciding whether to travel to a dealership, and changing the price after the customer arrives can be considered a deceptive sales practice if not properly disclosed. I incurred the time, expense, and inconvenience of traveling to the dealership based on the advertised price, only to discover that the terms presented in person did not match what had been represented online. Had the actual selling price or required additional charges been accurately disclosed before my visit, I could have made an informed purchasing decision. I request that this matter be investigated to determine whether the dealership's advertising and sales practices comply with applicable California laws and regulations governing vehicle advertising, pricing transparency, and unfair or deceptive business practices. Throughout the transaction, communication was extremely poor. Raymond rarely returned phone calls or text messages. I had sent him several specific questions regarding the vehicle before arriving, yet I received little to no response. We had agreed before my arrival that the vehicle would be fully fueled and fully charged. Instead, when I took delivery, the gas tank was only one-quarter full, and the battery was completely discharged. This demonstrated a lack of preparation and respect for my time. I expressed my concerns related to this conduct by Yossef and he flat out told me that his conduct was legal and that his actions were consistent with your companies business standards. Raymond essentially ceased communicating with me during the sales process. He did not return calls, failed to respond to text messages, and only became engaged again when it was time to screw the temporary paper license plate onto the vehicle. After the purchase, I requested updates regarding: The status of pending repairs. Confirmation that the vehicle would be fully fueled and charged. An update regarding the condition of the tires. Written documentation confirming that the charging system was functioning properly since the vehicle had not been charged as promised. The overall experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and fell well below the standard of customer service I expected. The lack of communication, failure to honor commitments made before delivery, and poor preparation created unnecessary inconvenience and significantly diminished what should have been a positive vehicle purchase. I believe prospective customers deserve transparent communication, honest advertising, and a dealership that honors the commitments it makes before a sale.

Very shortly after buying it, I discovered major safety and mechanical issues that were never disclosed, including:    *   Torn/damaged engine mounts - a serious safety issue that is visible with even a basic look under the wheel well    *   Worn/unsafe tires that needed replacement    *   Alignment problems affecting safety and drivability    *   A chipped windshield that was never mentioned These were not minor fixes. I paid $3,105.47 for the mechanical repairs, plus another $147 for the windshield chip -- totaling $3,252.47 out of pocket to correct issues the dealership failed to disclose. When I brought this to their attention, I was given conflicting explanations about the "inspection." At first, I was told the car was inspected. Later, they claimed it was only a visual inspection. Even if that were true, a proper visual inspection would have clearly caught torn engine mounts, because they are visible without even lifting the car. That tells me the inspection was either not done properly, or not done at all. I was also told more than once that I would be reimbursed and that they would "cut me a check." That promise was repeated several times, yet there was no follow-through -- only delays, excuses, and shifting responses. Buying a car is a major financial commitment, and customers deserve honesty, transparency, and accountability. My experience did not reflect that. I hope this review helps others approach this dealership with caution, ask detailed questions, and insist on proper documentation before purchasing.

Three months later, a couple of weeks ago, the engine light comes on. I contact Jose and he tells me to call the warranty company. I call the warranty company and they say take it to the dealer to do a diagnostic check and start a claim. I let Jose know but he tells me to call his brother Leo, who also was there when I bought the car. Leo keeps telling me to take it to any mechanic and they can start a claim. I take it to one mechanic, he said he's dealt with Protective and doesn't want to deal with them and didn't think any other mechanic would either. He told me go to the dealer that sold you the car, he hasn't even looked at my car, just refused. I took it to another mechanic to get a diagnosis check to see if the issue is even covered because I needed my car fixed and was going to just do it myself. When the mechanic checked it, he said the boot was taped instead of replaced. He said that is very dangerous, he could not believe they sold a car like that. He said the part is only $80 and a quick fix but he told me go back to the dealer, he needs to fix this for free because he should've never sold the car like that, it should've been repaired first. At this point, Jose and Leo do not respond to my texts or call. I contacted the warranty company but they're saying they can't get involved in issues between the dealer and buyer. These guys are not honest and will tell you whatever you want to hear to make sure you buy a car. I do not recommend buying from them.

They serviced my car many times before, both routine and not, and it always went well. What really stood out to me this time is I didn't feel like bringing my 16 year old car to them was a burden. Took a 90 minute Uber to South Bay Mazda to buy a car after my sales rep promised in writing that…read morethey would cover the Uber. When I got there, I brought it up again and was told the Uber needed to be booked through their account, not mine, and that they would have to get approval from the GM the next day. I wasn't happy about that answer, but I was still willing to move forward with the purchase. Before they ran my credit, I was very clear that I was only interested in Mazda's 0% financing for 36 months. I have very good credit and expected this to be a pretty straightforward process. Instead, after waiting, my salesperson came back and told me Mazda hadn't responded yet, but they could get me approved through Capital One at 1.99% and get me out the door sooner. That really rubbed me the wrong way. I specifically came in asking for Mazda's 0% financing, so I didn't understand why they were suddenly pushing a 1.99% Capital One loan instead. I later called and was told my credit score was 815, which made the whole situation even more frustrating. I negotiated a very good price on the car, so from my perspective, it felt like they may have been trying to make some of that money back through financing by steering me toward Capital One instead of waiting for Mazda's 0% offer. I can't say for certain that was their intention, but that's certainly how the situation came across. By this point, between the delays, the transportation issue, and the financing situation, I was no longer excited about buying the car. My dad and I went to lunch and I ultimately decided to just Lyft home and walk away from the deal. To be fair, they only promised to cover the Uber one way, so I understand that getting home would have been on me. My issue was that something they had promised in writing suddenly became complicated, and then the financing situation felt like another attempt to change the terms of what I came in expecting. Overall, the experience was incredibly frustrating and completely took the excitement out of buying a new car. My advice is to get everything in writing, make sure they actually honor what they promise, and pay very close attention to the financing they offer. If you're getting a great deal on the car, don't assume they're necessarily going to make it easy for you to get the financing you came in expecting. Buyer beware. Ask questions, verify the financing yourself, and don't be afraid to walk away
