I was in the mood for Vietnamese coffee and this place delivers in the much bolder and more intense profile. Vietnamese coffee is typically made with robusta beans, which have higher caffeine and a heavier, almost thick mouthfeel compared to arabica. I ordered their Hanoi Egg coffee and also their Kettle Corn coffee, from the server's recommendations. I found myself noticeably surprised by how there was bittnerness, but it was not too harsh. There were some also some chocolatey undertones in the Egg Hanoi, with the egg pudding. I would have preferred less ice, less egg pudding and more drink. Overall though, it did not take away the flavor for me. As for the vibe, there was Kpop music playing in the background when I visited and multiple tables already occupied from people working on their laptops or sitting down to talk. The aesthetic is minimalist chic - steel tables with that warehouse feel. They do not have pastry options so don't come hungry! The ambiance and interior of this café are fantastic. It's a great spot for studying, working, or catching up with friends thanks to the spacious layout and ample seating. Unfortunately, the drink I ordered didn't quite hit the mark. I went with the lychee panna cotta tea and even at 25% sweetness, it was still much sweeter than I expected. I also wasn't convinced by the panna cotta topping. Rather than incorporating into the drink, it sat in a couple large chunks at the top and didn't add much to the overall experience. The whole lychee fruit was a nice touch in theory, but it became a bit cumbersome to drink as pieces would repeatedly get caught in the straw. While the presentation was appealing, the drink itself felt a bit impractical. That said, I would absolutely come back to give their other beverages a try. Plus84 is a cozy yet fun Vietnamese cafe, but I'm torn about how I feel because they use an absurd amount of ice. Maybe a 3.5 rounded up due to high quality. I love their drinks but feel like I'm paying a premium for a few sips as the prices are steep. They use crunchy ice which is dense and compact so it fills cup volume, almost feels strategic with the amount of ice there is compared to regular ice cubes that don't touch every cubic inch. On the bright side, great spot to work with lots of tables, seats, and a clean washroom. Matcha Latte - rich matcha, actually delicious and high quality. Unfortunately I swear I had like 10 sips before I was making loud noises because there was nothing to suction. Honestly a huge frustration but I did like the little sips I had. As someone who grew up stealing sips of ca phe out of my Vietnamese grandmother's cup, I would like to think that I'm pretty qualified to say that Plus 84 has amazing Viet coffee! Drink: (4/5) I was headed to a date nearby but was a bit early so I decided to check out Plus 84 for the first time. As a good baseline, I decided to get the Hanoi egg coffee. I also just visited Vietnam in April where I had lotss of egg coffee so I was really excited to try it back home. For starters, the coffee here has great depth. It's sweet but not overbearingly so. It also has that caramelized note that I usually look for. I'd just say that I wish their egg cream had more flavor. At least in the drink I had, the cream seemed more for texture since it didn't have much flavor by itself. I still enjoyed it though and would definitely get it again. The aesthetic is minimalist grey and industrial. They have Vietnamese coffees, matcha, and fruit teas. For food, they have croissants and some fried snacks. I ordered a panna cotta lychee fruit tea. While ordering, they asked about sugar level, but not ice. I wish I ordered light ice, because the majority of the cup was ice. It's also nugget ice, which interferes if you ordered toppings. All my grass jelly stayed on the bottom. My drink was $8.70 including the grass jelly, and honestly I don't believe the price was justified since I was not even able to enjoy my drink. The tea part was drunk within 10minutes, and then all the toppings were left with all the ice. I had to dump out the ice into the little water cups they have, before I could eat the toppings (grass jelly, lychee, and panna cotta). I felt like I not only had to pay for the drink, I also had to work for it. Such a poor choice for the drink. The background music didn't bother me when I first sat down, but after some time I felt like it was a bit too loud - it ended up being more foreground than background. Plus 84 is a modern and chic Vietnamese cafe serving up some unique drinks. To get here, there is street parking all around the area. Inside, they have a beautifully decorated interior with a solid amount of seating. For their menu, they have a nice selection of different coffee, matcha, fruit, and milk tea drinks to choose from. I ended up getting the Salted Kumquat and wifey got the Roasted Rice Milk Tea. All of the staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Stopped by before an appointment in Seattle and it was fairly empty at 10am on a Wednesday. Service was quick and we got our drinks within 10 minutes. There's plenty of seating here if you are looking for a space to work and I thought it was fairly quiet even with music playing. We tried two iced teas - the salted kumquat and the longan tea - and both are pretty good! The salted kumquat really remind me of the types of tea I had in Vietnam. Initially wanted ube but they only have taro latte which is surprisingly delicious! If you love Vietnamese coffee, this spot is a must-stop in Belltown. PLUS84 totally nails the balance of STRONG, bold coffee and creamy sweetness without making drinks overly sugary. I needed to get some work done and I decided to come here to complete it. The studying/work vibes are perfect here! It might be different if it's on a weekend night since it looks like people like to hangout here. The place is clean and organized and there is a good amount of seating. I had their banh mi and it was good. But I do wish that it had more pork floss and pate. For the sandwich being small and costing $5, I think there should be more portioning involved. The service was okay. The sandwich didn't take long to make. The employees aren't that enthusiastic. We swung by Plus 84 to quickly pick up a drink on a walk. They have tons of seating and the ambience is open and fresh. We ordered the marble coco. Overall, the menu seemed interesting and the prices were reasonable. We were excited by the ingredients of marble coco and decided to order that. In all honesty, the drink was a bit of a letdown. The coffee jelly they put in the drink was too bitter. The coconut milk and espresso combo in the drink kinda worked but the balance was completely thrown off by the bitter coffee jelly. Been seeing this Vietnamese cafe all over my tiktok fyp and wanted to try it on my day off work! I personally think Vietnamese coffee is a bit too strong for me but we heard the matcha drinks were good as well so we decided to stop by. We visited on a Friday afternoon and it was not busy at all. There is a good amount of paid street parking outside the cafe and a paid parking lot right next to the building. It could be hard to find parking on a weekend, so visit during the weekday if you can. The interior was modern, clean, and there were a lot of tables to do work or just catch up with a friend. We ordered the earl grey and strawberry matcha latte. We didn't order any but we did see they had some food options like baguettes and savory croissants. I liked the strawberry syrup they used but I found it a little bit on the sweeter side so if you like sweeter matchas, this is the spot. My only critique is that I ordered the smallest size and was a bit disappointed how my drink wasn't really filled to the top, especially since I paid almost close to $10 for the drink. The matcha was high quality though and a bit on the grassier side but it did pair well with the sweetness of the strawberry syrup. my friend did enjoy her earl grey matcha too. I can't believe I haven't written a review for this place yet! We've gone here so many times already and it's one of our fave Vietnamese coffee shops and they never disappoint. We've ordered all sorts of drinks and they are all good! The durian coffee, corn coffee, egg coffee, matcha, pandan milk, and espresso drinks are delicious! We've had some of their snacks as well, such as the baguette, and they're delicious! We came back here recently and their Christmas decorations are so cute! They have teddy bears with a huge Christmas tree so you can take some cute holiday pictures there if you want. I have no complaints about their service! read more

I got the Longan Tea this time -- it was good! However, I have to mention that the service this visit was really disappointing. I've noticed before that one of the baristas, Andy, wasn't very friendly, but this time it was worse. He was passive-aggressive and gave short, unkind answers when I asked simple questions about their new seasonal drink. It just felt like he didn't want to help or be there. Not only that, but my friend had a similar experience. She ordered fries that were supposed to be regular cut, but instead got about nine small waffle fries. She felt like that was a bit misleading and definitely not what was advertised. It's unfortunate because I've always liked Plus 84. Hojicha Earl grey latte with oat milk. My take: light hojicha flavor, light Earl grey flavor. Wish both elements were bolder. On top of that felt like there was too much ice. TLDR: Vietnamese style coffee place located near downtown. Prices are high, but in range for downtown ($8-$10 per drink after tax + tip). Drinks were good but I wish there was additional customization options on sweetness. Drinks: We got the Plus84 macchiato and the earl grey matcha. The matcha was good, not too sweet but also highlighted both the matcha and the earl grey. The macchiato was phin drip coffee with a creamy topper (similar to a coffeeholic dream). Both drinks used crushed ice which is much better than cubed ice in my opinion. One thing that let me down was that it wasn't possible to reduce the sweetness of the coffee as it is premade. The only option to reduce sweetness was to add more milk, but some coffee shops like coffeeholic actually add more black coffee rather than making the drink milkier. Another thing about the drinks was the cups themselves as they were pretty flimsy. When trying to drink using the sippy lid it sometimes felt like the drink was going to be crushed in my hands. After a while I just switched to a straw and it was harder to get the cream topping. Price: Expect downtown Seattle prices, for 2 large drinks it was $17.5 before tip Ambiance: The space is relatively large with lots of space to sit and chat. However, historically they put kettle corn on top which makes the drink aesthetic and appealing, while now they just do a lazy swirl of caramel, so I took off 1 star from being let down here. If a place serves matcha, then it's gonna be the big thing in this current social media world. Same goes for this place, where I had the raspberry matcha latte the first time and even got my friends to have it for this second visit on a Monday night around 8pm. Of course, they all loved it, and for really good reason too! I decided to get something different this time and actually have some of their phin coffee, even if it was late at night (I was still able to sleep soundly that night fyi). I got their large Hanoi egg coffee and boy oh boy I wish I had this one earlier! Egg creme is creamy and appropriately sweet, though it was hard to mix with my straw given how the cup was structured. I also like how there's not as much ice even after downing the whole drink in less than 2 minutes; it took up about 30% of the cup. Even better is how late this place opens especially on weekends if you want a late matcha or even coffee fix (the close at midnight on weekends and 10pm every other day). I can recommend both their matcha and the phin coffee here, and I'm happy about that since most places I've been to have been branding themselves around matcha, whether intentional or not. Now to do the same for Phe and other similar locations where matcha is hyped up! read more

I can't believe I didn't know this cafe was there until meeting up with my friend here. I really liked the interior. It's nice and modern and when I cam back a couple months later in december, it turned into the cutest giant teddy bear haven as in they were everywhere. I also like that they host some pop-ups here - the day we went, an oi cookies were in and we got to try some really yummy viet fusion cookies. However, the coffee was borderline undrinkable when I got my order. I like a strong coffee taste but the syrup was overpowering. I had to take it home and significantly dilute it with milk for it to be consumable. A bit disappointing since I've heard so much about this place, and given that the drink is ~$8, I had high expectations. I think if I were to get this drink again, I would ask for less sweet? or maybe skip it overall and try another option. On my Second visit, I tried the Earl Grey Matcha. Plus 84 is a semi-new cafe spot in the Belltown area of Seattle. There is street parking around the area. I walked over from the Amazon Spheres since I didn't want to look for a new parking spot. My sister ordered the Durian Ice Cream Coffee. I ordered the Iced Raspberry Matcha Latte. We were both hesitant to order any caffeinated drinks so late in the day (6PM on a Sunday). Luckily, it was well worth it to order these drinks! Both drinks were delicious! I was surprised there was a raspberry flavored matcha latte instead of strawberry like most places would have. Durian isn't a taste meant for everyone, but we both LOVE durian. It isn't common to see durian on a cafe's menu. The interior of Plus 84 is cute and minimal. It is a good size for small groups or solo trips to study, work, and socialize. A downside is it was a bit warm in there. I don't know if that was a one off experience for that day. read more

I came to this cafe right after coming back from Vietnam so my review is going to be held very high. Parking for this place is either ample (due to p2p parking lots) or limited with street parking. If you choose to park at the paid parking lots, there is one right next to the building. The space is pretty spacious and clean, I enjoyed walking in with it's simple interior design - tables for big crowds on one side, small tables and counters on the other. I got the Hanoi Egg coffee, everything regular. The drink was sweet and creamy - I definitely taste the appeal. The only thing I would like to mark is the coffee, as I wish it was a bit stronger. This coffee might already be strong for others - so don't let this deter you from coming here. read more

Large space with counter and table seating. Also had a few tables outside. Was quiet enough to read or get some work done.
