I called and made an appointment on Monday for a Wednesday 10am-Noon time-slot service call. Then I received a call from the service 5 mins before the appointment that stated that my service technician would have to stay on the job he is currently on for the remainder of the day and they wanted me to reschedule. Well I have already taken time off without pay today, so you want me to take another day off for the POSSIBILITY that you will show up next time...I think not. If you think about the time slot mentality, this service individual would have to cancel at least two more time-slots (12-2, 2-4, and maybe even 4-6) on individuals that are in the same boat as I am. The person that had the 8-10a slot and their "scope-creep" should have been rescheduled instead of canceling on at least 3-4 people that had hard appointments. Would have given zero stars if it was an option. read more

Buyer beware...These guys are off the charts expensive. Their main goal is to dangle a $42.95 trip charge and then convince you to sign a 1 - 3 year contract for their services. Here is the rest of the story... Once the guy showed up and was shown what needed to be repaired, he began the hard sell. He worked up the numbers and showed me the two options I could chose. The first option included the repair cost and a service plan for $873. Option two was only the repair cost, for $891. I almost fell off my chair. I asked him if people were actually stupid enough to pay these rates for minor repairs and he responded that some people proceed. I obviously did not proceed, however I was on the hook for the $42.95 trip charge, a fee that I chalked up to a learning experience. I consulted other master plumbers and received an estimate of approximately $425 for the same work that Plumbline quoted $891, more than double the going rate. If money is no option, and you want an annual service contract that auto-renews, Plumbline is the company for you. If you would like to hang on to your money while getting reasonably priced plumbing services, you may want to look for a different plumbing professional... read more

Their technicians get commission on whatever it is they sell, or fix I should say. They are an absolute rip-off and they lie cheat and steal. When we first moved here we trusted the big brand. They tried to repair our furnace which failed a few weeks after they left. They came back 3 times and still could not fix it, and yet we were still out 780 bucks. Then the plumbing issue. Long story short, a popped hose bib from freezing and then a leaky elbow joint--- their quote-- 1,784.00 I called my neighbors plumber that he has been using for years----out the door he was 324 bucks. He laughed when I showed him what plubmline quoted me. He even shared his cost for parts, which was around 140 bucks. Then we saw the news story about them with the hidden cameras and no surprise there. read more

Usually I do like them, their response times and their techs. Prices are a bit high but ALL plumbers are!!! DO NOT get this new product ""Aeroseal Duct Sealing"" - it did not help reduce my heating bill; it did not help my 2 front rooms stay warmer; and actually still blows out a fine white mist like dust in my rooms (and I am 4 months removed from having the product installed thru my system)! read more

I scheduled drain cleaning service 4 days ago. They called 45 minutes before my appointment which was the 1st one on their schedule for the day, to cancel because their schedule was to full. Their attitude was like "oh well". I will call a company that will come out. read more

We have used this company for several year and overall have been satisfied with service however we called to have some work down on our furnace about a month ago. The tech was not sure how to do the work so informed us that they would send someone with more experience to look at the job. 2 weeks later and many calls to the office another tech was sent out who stated that he could have the job done and he would get back with us the next day. 1 week later still calling to get job done. Finally get job scheduled and then tech was a no show. Very disappointed with service and followup. Finally had to go to a competitor for service. read more

Fantastic experience! Bob was friendly, helpful and went above and beyond! He fixed my ac, then in conversation, I was asking for advice on how to clear a drain that a quarter sized earring was lodged in, he fixed it, no charge. We were originally going with a different company and even had an install date. The scheduling inconsistencies and poor customer service at cooper air pushed use into plumbline's arms and we are so thankful they did. read more

Warning, Do not use!!! These guys are completely unprofessional and incapable. With an emergency plumbing problem, do not count on these guys. They made us wait days for an appointment and then canceled it the day of. Do not count on them for anything important if they can not even show up or keep their commitment. I am glad I didn't give them the chance to actually work on our drain and have their true character come out when it came to actually fixing something, since they can't even grasp how to keep a schedule. read more

A few years ago our AC broke during a heatwave right before I was leaving the country, I had a new AC unit the next day from Plumbline. They have since replaced my furnace, which died of old age. Their service people have always been prompt, professional and knowledgable. Most recently the outside AC unit went bad, this was a quality Carrier unit but it failed. After attempting to fix it they did EXACTLY what their warranty said and gave me a new unit! It's hard to find a company with this much integrity and follow through. Can't recommend them enough! read more

I am have health issues and am self-quarantined until the 15th, we explained this to the company when we scheduled and were told it would not be an issue. The first tech sent out, Bill, was wonderful and took appropriate precautions for my safety with a mask, gloves, and booties but unfortunately was unable to fix our issue. Another plumber and a camera tech, Brandon and Brian, were sent out to check out our pipes the next day. Neither of them took any precautions at all to ensure my or their safety at all, no masks, no gloves, etc (Thanks for the black finger prints all over my cabinets Brandon). Now I have to decontaminate all of the areas they were in due to my medical issues; that is unacceptable, unprofessional, and infuriating. They were unable to fix our issue as well and quoted us a very large (not unexpected) amount to fix the issue, but could not tell us what the actual issue was and wanted to go straight to demolition (big red flag there). Thankfully, my brother is a contractor and said what they wanted to do was overkill for the problem without knowing exactly what is wrong, as there are other fixes that could be more affordable and may be better for us in this situation without any demolition at all. If your company is not going to value my, their own, and other customers safety why would I want you to demo a large part of my house? Your two plumbers lost you our business today. How many other customers have you put in danger too, I wonder? BTW every other company I have called to double check your guesses has expressed dismay at this situation and recommended contacting Jeffco Public Health, which sounds like a great idea right now. Beware this company and their practices, especially during this outbreak. (Now to top it off my MD has put me on another 14 day quarantine because of your chuckleheads. Thanks for the lost wages, as I was to go back to work next week too.) read more

Ugh. Where do I begin. A couple months back I Tried to make an appointment with them to get my bathroom drain snake because it was not draining as fast. They responded appropriately and send someone over within 72 hours (I still think that a long time to wait but milligram). They came over this snaked my drain was draining appropriately. No my drain stopped working again so I called them to come and sneak it again. They called me back but I was at work and was not able to pick up and when I was about to call them to set up the appointment I got a text message to confirm an appointment with the plumber the next day between ours 5 pm and 9 pm. So instead of calling back I just confirmed via text like the text instructed me to do. They did not come the next day they did not come the day after that the day following that I called them to see if they were coming soon. The lady on the phone made it seem like it was my fault because my appointment was not officially made because I never called them back. I told them I received the text message and I confirmed via text message. She said the text message was not the right way to do it. I asked her why then send me a text message to confirm if that was not even possible. She said it was my mistake and they had no appointments available for another seven days. Never using them again. Called another company to come over and I had someone respond and be at my house within 12 hours. read more

I called Plumbline as my landlord requested. Got on the schedule a week ago as my shower head is constantly running with scalding hot water. Wont turn off. They were supposed to show today at 1-5...They called at 10a this morning and said 'sorry we cant make it'. no explanation until I asked. The tech that was scheduled for my house hit a GAS line on his first job and couldnt leave until it was fixed. When I asked what the emergency protocol was, she just said we will have to reschedule, but not until TUESDAY of next week. Another 5 days of my hot water continuously running from my shower. no thanks Plumbline. A company your size should have a procedure in place for these situations. No faith in them at all. read more

When dealing with Plumbline, be very careful on the fake discounts they offer. My parents, who are in their 80's contacted Plumbline to replace their furnace, AC and hot water heater. The bid showed many discounts, senior discount, veteran discount and the most egregious was a free furnace if they purchased an air conditioner. Their discounts claims are false and be sure to obtain bids from other reputable companies. We did, and their prices without discounts came back at 60% to 40% less than Plumbline. Buyer Beware of this organization! read more

Was very impressed when a technician came out and fixed an electrical issue and didn't charge me because it was a simple fix. So I called them when I needed a new water heater and they were running a $999 special. Tech gave me an estimate of over $2700. I asked him to explain why it was so much more (it should have been about $60 to upgrade from a 40 to a 50 gal., $150 for an expansion tank, and $30 for a pan) but he couldn't give me an answer and just said he wishes they wouldn't run that ad. I got three more quotes, all of which were under $1300. read more

We had our water meter replaced by Centennial water last week. While the technician was there, he noted that our pressure release valve was leaking and in need of immediate replacement. He specified the part we needed from Home Depot ($52) and gave us instructions on how to do this ourselves; however he noted that we might need a plumber since the valve appeared to be soldered onto the pipe. He did warn us that if we called a plumber, if we were charged $300-$400, we were being taken for a ride, since it should only take 20-30 minutes including the soldering. I got the part but we couldn't change it ourselves. Well, Plumbline gave us a bid of $360 (remember, WE PROVIDED THE PART); $360 didn't include their $40 service fee. I told them that I was told that would be too high, and the tech said he'd adjust it. He did a total of 20-25 minutes work, came up and told me that he had been at our home an hour and that the original price stood. HOWEVER, if I wanted to become part of their $10/month plan(which I could cancel at anytime), he would adjust my bill to $280. I was stuck and I paid, but now we know that Plumbline charges way beyond a reasonable charge. He essentially was paid $290 for 25 minutes of work!! The technician was very nice. He showed up right on time. I think he did a good job. If the price had been reasonable, I would be able to recommend this company. We will NEVER use Plumbline again; we have proof that they charge way beyond what is reasonable. read more

I called Plumbline after a friend said she had used their services. The scheduling services are fine and the technician arrived on time. We had an exterior faucet that had frozen over the winter causing the pipe to burst. I explained the issue and the technician agreed with my assessment and said the job would take about an hour, maybe less. Then he took out the price book and said the cost was $450 to replace the faucet. My husband asked him how much the parts were- he said around $80. That is $370 for an hours work! We sent the technician on his way without having him fix this. That night, for 30 minutes and around $35 we fixed it ourselves. The technician himself was great. He was competent and professional. I am sorely disappointed with the pricing. I guess people who don't want to do any plumbing themselves will pay these ridiculous prices. It is a shame that Plumbline is charging these prices to ANY consumer, let alone all the senior citizens they are overcharging. read more

I have fixed up four houses and have met many plumbers, therefore I have a general idea what plumbers charge and how long it should take to perform certain tasks. On the plus side, all Plumbline workers have been neat, professional and polite during multiple visits. They are available and arrive when scheduled. However, their prices are incredibly high and, as I found out, much higher than their completion. All work was roughly twice what most independent plumbers charge. Replacing a shower valve shouldn't cost $2000. read more

Please read this before calling Plumbline! Our 10- year old furnace went out on a chilly Friday morning, so we called Plumbline. The serviceman who came out said our furnace was leaking high levels of carbon monoxide and by law, he was required to it off. (We were surprised these dangerously high levels had not set off the carbon monoxide detector.) The only solution he proposed was completely replacing the entire unit, a cost of at least $4500. Needless to say, we were very concerned about our health, not to mention the prospect of facing an entire weekend without heat. Before agreeing to the replacement, we called the gas company. They came out, did a reading, and found no trace of CO. The same thing happened when we called B&B - no carbon monoxide. Turns out the furnace filter was clogged with sawdust because my husband has been doing a lot of woodworking in the basement. This had caused the furnace to trip it's secondary breaker. $160 later, everything is fixed and the furnace is working fine. And we're not dead of CO poisoning. read more

On May 16, 2013 I was given window of 1:00 - 3:00 on May 17 for a technician to replace our garbage disposal. At 2:55 on the 17th I received a phone call stating the technician was on his way and would arrive shortly. At 3:50 I called Plumbline to let them know the technician has not shown up and was put on hold. Finally the person at Plumbline simply stated "the technician was called back to the previous job and would be arriving later." I asked why no one called me to let me know of the delay and the response was "they tried but the phone went dead." I was disappointed they did not show when promised but would have been willing to work with them until the lie about a phone going dead ... really?! I cancelled Plumbline and called Brothers who has given us a 10:00 - noon window on 5/20 ... we'll see how that goes. read more

Extremely frustrated with this company right now. The air conditioner on our house stopped working and we called them to fix it. The "comfort specialist" recommended we replace the coils and everything would be fine. He went on to say that air conditioners in new houses sometimes have problems because "they" don't flush the lines when they install the systems. During the installation, the technicians weren't even aware of everything we had ordered - we had ordered an air scrubber - and the electrostatic filter that was installed had the wrong size filter. So, they had to schedule another time to come out. Before they could make it, the air conditioner wasn't working properly. They came back out, replaced the coils and realized that someone hadn't flushed the lines properly....really? Even after your "comfort specialist" pointed out how inferior technicians do the exact same thing? At the same time, the air conditioning encountered problems at our rental property. They came out to the rental and fortunately, we didn't encounter any problems with the air conditioner after their service call. Fast forward a month and our heater is suddenly not working. Plumbline technicians came out and fixed the problem fairly quickly and without charging anything. I am happy with that but now the tenants are calling to say the heat isn't working on the rental property. I called today to get an appointment - it's Saturday - and they can't get anyone out until Monday. Really? I've already spent $5,000 on your services and you can't find the time to make it out to my rental property until Monday when it is supposed to be cold tonight and tomorrow? There are an awful lot of coincidences between my house and my rental property or the technicians are not doing a thorough job which is causing me to make numerous phone calls to their company. read more

I have never left a negative review before but was so disappointed I created an account just to warn people about this company. I called them because I heard their radio commercial advertising a $39 AC tune-up. This was a scam. The $39 was just the service fee to have technician come out and look at the system(which I was not told until the end of the service call). I was impressed by their exceptional customer service over the phone and the technician they sent was very nice. However, the technician ran through a list of things wrong with the unit and then quoted me $1800-2700 to fix the AC and $4800-7800 to replace it. He also said I should replace the furnace and quoted $7800-16,800 to do both. I called my home inspector and asked him for an HVAC recommendation. I called this other company and a technician came out and ran diagnostics. He found the only issue was a low freon level. He recharged the system and now it runs great!!! This only cost $175. I am pretty convinced that Plumbline Services is running a scam and would not recommend them at all! read more

Bad experience! Supposed to be 99 bucks or a bit more for an easy crawl space access for a sewer line cleaning at our rental house. The guy called us and said his first recommendation was to dig up the yard and add a new clean out for easier access. He would have to get his supervisor out for line locations and quotes. Second recommendation was to do the original clean out, BUT he upped the charge to $390 because of the crawl space (clean out was right next to the crawls space opening). Told them no thanks, called "Jake the Snake" and an hour and $150 later we were up and running...with no BS! read more

BEWARE!! I am the owner of a small business who authorized my office manager to use the company card to pay for Plumbline to come out and make a sewer repair. First, they incorrectly identify the location of the blockage (after tearing apart a newly placed hardwood floor and the concrete slab underneath). Then, two months later, Plumbline fraudulently charges another $2,400 to my business. They never tried to contact me and I never authorized this second transaction and only found out about it when I was reconciling the account statements. So far, it has been a nightmare dealing with getting the funds returned, but a fraud investigation has been initiated by my bank and I've filed a police report. If you have used Plumbline in the past and had good results, more power to you. If you plan on using them in the future, good luck to you. This is one company that I will NEVER recommend to anyone. read more

We called them for their mainline special to clear it. They came back, after tearing up our downstairs, etc., which is a completely finished basement, and said they they needed to go through and find the leak in our mainline. With everything torn up and apart, they demanded $6000 in cash before doing anything more., We had to take out a loan at Wells Fargo to pay them. They COMPLETELY destroyed our front yard, two flower gardens, throwing bricks and stuff on top of our flower beds, and left our yard all torn up and in a state of massive destruction with NO PROOF that they have indeed found a leak and repaired it. The plumbing was left uncovered during a week of rain and then 4 inches of snow, and once more our basement flooded and my husband had to go buy a sump pump and drain the bathtub, toilet and drain in our basement that their repair did not fix. These guys are CROOKS. We paid them over $6000 and then spent another $500 to establish a sump pump. We still have to pay someone to repair our front yard, and replace what was destroyed AGAIN by the flooding of our basement. I have pictures to PROVE everything that I have said. DONT TRUST THESE CROOKS!! They are THIEVES and CON-ARTISTS portraying themselves as plumbers. Oh and even though we thought it was understood that they would return our yard to its original state, they wanted an extra $1500. Jeanne Major Thornton CO read more

Needed Air conditioner re-charged according to Plumbline 3 years ago for $455 couldn't afford it then. Had them come out and re-evaluate the system i haven't used once since then. After the evaluation he first tells me is what a new unit would cost with installation. Granted the system is 15 years old but I hardly used the AC in the 7 years I've owned the house. When I say hardly I mean less than 12 times in 7 years. Then he goes on to explain what the cost would be for a new furnace and a/c unit. Now I'm getting irritated since that wasn't the purpose of the appointment. All I wanted to do was get my unit charged per the previous appointment. However now they have to recover system coolant, pressure test install a new receiver dryer and re-charge all for $2700. plus any possible additional repairs. What the hell. That's extremely discouraging and disappointing. I would not do business with then again. I see they've received some good and some bad reviews which service will you get? do yourself a favor and don't take a chance go elsewhere. read more

I'm in the process of selling my townhouse and buying a bigger place. At the request of the buyers for documented furnace service, I called Plumbline about 2 weeks ago. Big mistake!!! 73 minutes before they were supposed to arrive, Plumbline called me to reschedule. They had received too many 'no-heat' calls, and can no longer make my appointment. Instead of apologizing, the rep promptly gave me a lesson on the weather, how "it is getting colder everyday". Thanks for nothing, Plumbline. I have been using Plumbline Services for years at the same property. I would have to say I would have historically given them high praise but now would be desperate to every use them and could not recommend them. I suspect new management but I do not know for sure. Over the years, the same property has had the same drain issue. Since the drainage problem keeps getting worse, this time, I asked to have something different than the standard "Clear your drain" process. In speaking with the scheduler on the phone, they would send a tech to clear the line and a camera Supervisor to immediately look inside the line for the cause of the on-going Issues.. They said the 2 processes had to happen at the same time. I asked of the cost and they indicated since I was a long term customer with reoccurring issue, they would not charge for the camera service... When the tech arrived, perfectly on schedule, he came only prepared to "clear the line" which we understood was part of the process. The tech then indicated the camera was NOT scheduled and we would have to wait many, many hours later for the camera work. He also indicated the camera fee was several hundred dollars. We debated the fee, the tech called the office and the rescheduled a later date/time for the camera - No Charge. On the day of the reschedule, I called when the camera Supervisor did not arrive... The scheduler indicated they were busy and it would now be 6-hours later than scheduled... As we planned our day around their original schedule, I told them to cancel the appointment and I would work with a reputable company for the work... Again, Plumbline started off as a great company I would highly recommend and now, I would never recommend them. read more

I've been trying to have a fan installed in my bathroom for over a month. The plumber who came to do our estimate gets the only amount of stars involved in this review. He was very nice, helpful, prompt and courteous. Thanks, Lee. He would probably get 5 stars for his manner. However, the quote I received for a leak outside was $3,650. Now I am not a plumber which is why I called someone, but that seems a bit outrageous. I inquired with some other companies and had someone out today. This company fixed it for $240.... That's more than 15 times less than I was quoted by Plumbline.... Seriously??? Also, I probably could have done it myself, so I'll likely do that in the future. Save yourself some money and use a different company! Maybe they don't do this to everyone, but it deterred me from this company in the future. read more

Ben did a great job! He literally fixed my minor plumbing issue in under two minutes! I highly recommend Plumbline Services!

My A/C works but not as well as it could, the lines outside freeze up slowly indicating it is low on charge. No problem. I called Plumbline because I had a little $55 off mailer magnet like thing. The tech comes to the house, hooks up his gauges and lo and behold it's a little low. Now comes the fun part. The tech says, because it's older R-22 refrigerant it's expensive, the unit holds 5 pounds and R-22 would be $600/pound for a total of $3000 (Nevermind that the system still has 2-3 pounds in it, they'll charge for all 5 pounds) because it's being phased out. I have a 25 pound bottle of R-22 in my garage but of course they won't use your own refrigerant. My main problem is that they didn't even want to charge it but went straight to quoting me an $11,000 package A/C and Furnace when there's nothing wrong with the furnace. The system is more than half charged and R-22 is still readily available, most HVAC places charge $100/pound. There are many 25 pound bottles (Enough to charge 5 of my A/C units) on craigslist for $400. Even at $200/pound I get my A/C to work for under $1000 and they make $700 for less than 30 minutes of work. These guys are crooks looking to prey on the ignorant. Don't be fooled by their smooth talking salesmen, they only care about how much money they can make off of you. I bought a matching A/C unit and Furnace they were trying to sell me for $11,000 for $3,500 and had a friend of the family install it, it took him a few hours. You better believe Plumbline gets that unit cheaper than I did meaning they were quoting me $11,000 for $3,000 worth of parts and $8,000 for a few hours worth of labor. ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??? Now cue the canned response from Plumbline about how they pride themselves on honesty and how all their techs carry the same price book. Get a clue guys: It's that your standard price book is insanely high just like all of the other reviews. $600/ Pound for R22?? How high are you? read more

We had a great experience when we used plumbline for the 1st time. So we made the decision to get a new furnace, air conditioner and upgrade electrical. It has been down hill ever since the worst for service. Had trouble with the electrical from the beginning we had so many appointments I have lost count. Then when summer came and we called to have air conditioner turned on they sent out a new guy who knew nothing it kept turning off my pilot light so no hot water. When they installed air conditioner they made drip cord to short so another person had to come out and fix that problem. 2 more appointments scheduled. Now we have to electrical redone and they cancelled my appointment after I made it in advance. Took the day off work and asked my husband to do the same to make sure I did not get taken advantage of again. I understand things happen but with a company this big they should not make appointments they can not keep. They should have a back up department that can handle the over flow of business or emergencies. In looking at everyone's review they need to look at scheduling manager and training of the people they hire. If they did repairs right the first time they might be able to keep other appointments and not loose customers. This has been the worst company to work with one problem after another. I would not recommend anyone use plumbline especially older people. I wish I had checked out the reviews on yelp before I started this project. Buyer beware is all I can say.
