Having been VIP customers with Plumbline for over 15 years, I was very disappointed with service on December 18th. I had a time window of 9-1 to repair a leaking kitchen sink. The window was changed to 1-5 pm, but when I called to check around 2pm, the receptionist and dispatch had difficulty locating when or who might be coming to our home. They wanted to reschedule, and when I voiced that I had been without a sink for a week, they quickly found a plumber who would arrive in about a half hour. When Dominique arrived, he was brusque and obviously didn't want to be on the call. My husband showed him the leaking faucet, and Dominique's comment was "well, it is barely leaking...what do you want me to do?" My husband said "you are the plumber...just leave if you can't fix it" and Dominique promptly stormed out of the house, not saying another word. I am changing to another plumbing service!! Would give them zero stars if possible. read more

Not sure why the low ratings on this site as we had a very satisfactory experience getting a furnace installed. We were able to schedule an onsite consultant to come out within a day or two, and he provided us a number of options to upgrade both our furnace and A/C. Very professional and friendly, even brought dog treats to win over our dogs. Quotes were provided for a number of furnace options, with efficiencies from 80% to 98%. We originally were thinking of the "usual" 80%-efficient option, and eventually had a number of questions for the consultant via both email and voice msg which he graciously and promptly answered. After obtaining quotes from two other vendors, we decided to go with the 98% furnace option since it was even a thousand-or-two-dollars cheaper than the 80% option from other vendors. Install was able to be scheduled within a couple days, and a team installed both the furnace and A/C in one 8-hour day. Team was courteous and hard-working and cleaned up well afterwards. Only minor hitch was that their 4th man, the electrician, arrived later in the afternoon than expected to make the final connections, which left the team lead on site until around 7PM to conduct the final walk-through and show us how to operate the upgraded thermostat. Price was as quoted, even though I believe a bit of extra work was required to run a new electric line from the main panel into the basement, and two PVC pipes were required for intake and exhaust of the high-efficiency furnace. Very pleased with both the work and the team. Would highly recommend Plumbline for future furnace and A/C installs. read more

So I have had a lovely experience with Plumbline Services...starting on June 5th I had an appointment and got a call that they had a computer glitch and had to reschedule 100+ people...okay...now I'm rescheduled for June 11th 1-5 time slot, after 5 that day we get the call they can't show up...I rescheduled again for Saturday June 15th, the guy does show up without the right equipment and is confused on what I need done( a tune up) mind you I have specified and made sure that they know I'm on the 3rd floor of a condo...they have assured me no problems we can do that not one person but 3 people have confirmed this...next the guy tells me he brought the wrong ladder and is not comfortable doing it...okay I tell him kindly to leave and have to call and reschedule again...they say this is a 2 person job so they will send 2 techs out...okay we are getting somewhere..mind you the roof is flat and the access is on the landing of stairs so not high but I get you need someone holding the ladder...I call the morning of June 25th to confirm I'm on the schedule and they are sending 2 techs...yup we have you down and 2 techs will be coming...guess what?!?! One tech showed up!!! they never had another tech scheduled and he too could not do the job...how do companies like this stay in business??? The last tech told me his boss would be informed of the mix up and they would call me to get something set up...they called 2 days later to tell me they can't do the job sorry...now I have not said one thing negative to these people I have been quit understanding...I get it I don't want anyone to feel unsafe...but when you tell me and I call you specifically looking for a services that you said in the very beginning that you could do I'm little confused...so basically none of your employees are knowledgeable about your services and there is zero communication going on in the company...your techs really have no idea what they are walking into...both techs who did come acted like they had no idea what I was getting done or that I lived on the 3rd floor. I would never recommend this company for anything...to say I'm disappointed is an understatement. If I could give a negative rating I would. read more

This company will rip you off! Find a local company or contractor before getting hosed by Plumbline. I called on a Sunday as my igniter went out on my furnace. I had already tested a few things and knew what it needed. A $20 part at Sears that has one screw and a pig tail . 5 Minute job. I called and they said there was a $200 after hours fee for someone to come. I decided I would go ahead and pay the $200 to get it fixed before the week started...knowing that the part was cheap and easy to install. The guy showed up in a timely manner and went down and looked at my furnace (Which was already open) and agreed it was the little igniter switch. He pulled it up on his laptop and told me the switch was $559, plus the $200 after hour fee. OMG are you serious! He kept making reference to "well I'm here now and you need heat". I replied, That's why I am paying $200 extra. I told him I'm familiar with furnace parts and he said he doesn't make the prices. I absolutely couldn't believe I was being screwed like this. I called my wife and told her how bad they were screwing me and he kept knocking $50 off at a time. He finally came up $509 total to install this $20 part..didn't even test anything else or do anything else. 5 minutes to swap it out. I was still furious and he said "There's a reason you called us, it's because of our advertising". Stating that I am paying for more than just the part I'm paying for his truck, signs, advertising, etc. I don't know how these people sleep at night. NEVER again will I use plumbline. I can't believe the reviews, are people that disconnected from prices of products to fall for their rip offs? I emailed them that night. No response and it's been over a week. They are probably great if you want to pay 1500% over what should be charged. read more

We had called plumb line, to have our mainline cleaned and to have our furnace tuned up for the year. On our first appointment was to be for the drain. We get a call about 10 mins before the tech was due. They were calling to cancel our appointment as they over booked. 2 hours later they call and ask if they could come over now. So we said alright. The tech gets here 45 mins later. Comes in and says I can't take my machine in your crawl space. He does tell my husband that he can go threw the toilet but it will be $311.00. Really !! Our second appointment was today for the furnace. Our appointment was between 1-3. Well 3:15 rolls around no tech. So I called and cancelled on them. Do not use these people. I have my own business I would never treat my clients like this. When your a company you need to stand by your word. I will always advise people not to use these plumbers/ heating people. read more

Let the buyer beware. When you buy into a Plumbline $39 A/C service promotion, what you're getting is a price quote for a lot of work ($800+) and a sales pitch on annual and 5-year service plans. It was very disappointing. I think the strategy is to tell you that, for instance, your coils are dirty, it'll cost $400 to clean them, BUT it's less than half that if you sign up for annual or 5-year contracts. First the shock, then the much "cheaper" option of a contract. We were also told that the two A/C units we have, being 8 years old and installed by the homebuilder and lower quality, weren't expected to last more than 10 years. So we were also given a quote to completely replace them ($10-20K). Geez. Nothing is malfunctioning at this time. We just wanted regular maintenance to be performed to make sure they'd be good for the summer. Plumbline was very professional in scheduling the service visit (next day), calling in advance of the serviceman's arrival---within the promised time window. But the service guy didn't even know why he was at our house, which was weird. So, $78 (two units) wasted in our opinion. Lesson learned. read more

Overpriced!!!!! I told the technician I thought the problem was a blower motor in the furnace. He flipped on the thermostat, said yes you're right. He quoted me a price of over $1,000 flat fee. So you get paid based on what you think I will pay and not how much time and materials are really need to do the job? I ended up paying $113 for 30 seconds of their time (and a useless trip), and wasting my morning. I was willing to throw that away because it would still be less expensive to find alternative service that was more cost effective. Ridiculous. read more

Avoid this company. Although they invest quite a bit in professional looking advertising and marketing, Plumbline should be avoided. I had scheduled separate appointments for their HVAC tuneup services and a sewer line cleaning. HVAC call had been on the calendar for 2 weeks and the sewer call had to be rescheduled once due to the technician being unavailable. Yesterday, all 3 services were to take place and instead, nobody showed up. Cost me a bunch of wasted time and lost wages. Dispatcher would only say that they had no techs available and 'sorry'. I've got a reputable sewer drain cleaning service scheduled today. Goodbye Plumbline! read more

I really was hoping for a great experience. I've heard so many great things on Tom Martino's show, but unfortunately Plumbline couldn't even show up for my appointment. I contacted this company to install a chimney liner, which connects to my furnace in my 104 year-old home. I am in the process of having my roof replaced, due to hail damage and scheduled the roofing job around Plumbline's schedule. I received their email confirmation and then right at 7:30 AM this morning, I received a call stating they were too busy. The lady on the phone was very rude and didn't seem to care about my job. She could care less about the schedule of my roof and the fact it would be holding up my roofers from completing their job. She said she would have a manager call me, but I have yet to receive a call. I have been renovating my Washington Park home for the past year and I was also considering Plumbline to replace my furnace and add air conditioning as well, but I will be looking elsewhere. I can't review this company's work, but if it is anything like their customer service, I cannot recommend this company. read more

Joe was fantastic~ so professional and helpful. He explained everything to us, and spent all the time we needed to make decisions, and understand what direction to take. Every year, Plumbline Services takes such good care of us. Their technicians, as well as their operators consistently go out of their way to make our experience easy, efficient, and enjoyable. After multiple attempts to unjam disposal I didn't know what was wrong with it so I needed to call a plumber. The problem started with the initial phone conversation. I stated I have a coupon for $35. The rep told me there was another one online for $50 and I could use both in fact he seemed rather pleased telling me this. As did I. He went on to say there was a $49 initial fee for the appointment. If I decided to use the service the $49 would be applied. All well and good I thought so I said yes. When the plumber arrived he looked at my disposal and before he told me anything about it he whipped out the handy iPad and gave me options to choose. This seemed odd to me because how would I know what to choose if we didn't know what was wrong with it. If it was simply jammed then I would pay that fee. But if something was actually wrong with it then I would need a new one. It was odd to choose an option before we knew. So I said let's see if it's jammed, Which it was. At that point I stated I had a coupon from the website as well as from a magnet. So I had two coupons. He stated he could only use one coupon and that the $49 would not be waived. He said the $49 was simply to walk in the door. At that point I stated there must be a disconnect between your customer service reps and yourself. Without going into too much detail, it was a long drawn out somewhat uncomfortable process between a call to the rep (on speaker) and us. The rep denied he said anything of the sort with the coupons and that indeed I would only be able to use one.The plumber said he didn't realize the $49 would apply to the work because he doesn't attend the meetings. All said and done it was $169 to unjam disposal and an all-around sucky experience. read more

They are very knowledgeable and have a big workforce, but at best they err way too much on the side of caution and being too proactive when they see any hint of an issue; and at worst they are a ripoff. At the referral of my real estate agent, I called them to do a $100 sewer scope, which turned into a $3,000 root cleanup and line repair. Their "master plumber" then came and found a $10,000 issue involving redoing the main line, scaring us a bit but reassuring he was going to give us a deal because he knew someone at the city inspectors office. Before agreeing to this work, I asked him for the video of the scope but he never gave it to me after several requests by email, phone, and text. I then called in another sewer scoping specialist company. This gentleman did an honest, thorough scope and showed it to us -- he agreed that the prior work was done well, but that we certainly did not need the $10k project done. He summed it up nicely: "Plumbline sees a problem everywhere they look." So buyer beware. read more

This review is long overdue but I just saw my invoice and it reminded me. Our residential A/C went out and we called Plumb Line to come out. They replaced a capacitor and at 1/4 hp motor. My biggest gripe is with the price, I believe they charged a ridiculous amount. They charged $272.93 to replace the capacitor (a $15 part) and $695.83 to replace the motor. It worked for about 3 years then we had to replace our whole system. When we took the cover off the A/C we found a dual capacitor and a single capacitor just hanging from a wires. It was crazy and looked like someone just rigged something up to get it to go. The new company we got to replace our A/C said it did not look like a professional did it. This place is a rip off, get a second opinion. read more

Great job explaining my situation without trying to add extra purchases. ! Professional and clean! Always call plumbline

I had a very poor experience with Plumbline Services. My issue was a leaky shower faucet. My shower faucet formed a leak and water leaked from my second floor to my first floor, getting some drywall and the floor wet. Right after I got out of my shower I realized it was leaking. I quickly pulled the cover off my shower faucet and saw exactly where the leak was coming from. The faucet in the wall had come loose and water was pouring out of it. I shut off the water to my home and fixed the leak by tightening the loose faucet. I called plumbline services, they sent out two Plumbers, one experienced and one plumber in training. Told them exactly what happened and that I visually saw exactly where the leak was from. I told them I fixed the faucet and just needed them to verify everything was ok when I turned the water on. Instead of agreeing, they said they needed to take apart the work I did and inspect everything. Thinking they were competent plumbers I agreed to let them do it. So the experienced plumber did the work as the plumber in training watched. The faucet has 4 screws; so the so called experienced plumber dropped one of the four screws between the drywall and the wall, so behind the tile in the shower and it was lost forever. Then about two minutes later he dropped a second screw out of the four screws behind the dry again, never to be seen again. So the plumbers who were called to simply to verify the fix I did have now lost two of the custom four screws specific to my shower faucet. So their solution was to take two screws from my bathtub faucet out to replace the two missing in my shower. So they did that and got the shower back to how I had it before I called them. But now my bathtub faucet was missing two screws so it leaked when the water was turned on to my house. So with the water was turned back on in my house and the bathtub started running into the bathtub basin they started listening to the walls and they both said we hear a leak. They said we need to start ripping into your drywall from the ceiling or walls to look and find the leak. I told them that they are most likely hearing the water runing and drain from the bathtub because it couldn't get shut off because of the missing screws. The insisted they could tell that the water they were hearing wasn't from a bathtub. How they could possibly know how to differentiate the sound of water from a running bathtub to a leak in a pipe behind the wall is beyond me but they insisted. One plumber then shoved his thumb into my ceiling and left a large thumb print in the dry wall, he said see how wet your drywall is. It was obvious the drywall was wet because it discolored when it got wet earlier. I guess he just wanted to prove to himself he would verify discolored drywall is truly wet. I told them not to cut into my dry wall. I was pretty sure the water they heard was from the running bathtub. Anyway, they then forced some non fitting screws in my bathtub faucet to stop the leak. I am afraid to use the bathtub until I get the official screws from the faucet vendor which will takes weeks to get, so my bathtub is out of commission thanks to them. Mean while they spent about 20 minutes trying to convince me how I needed to let them cut into my drywall and find this leak they just knew was there. As I expected, the leak they just knew was there didn't exist, so I was very glad I stopped them from destroying my drywall. It dried out and was fine. Also, while they were at my home I was talking to one of them downstairs while the other was upstairs. The one downstairs said they I was lucky my house had plastic piping; he said it was way better then the copper pipe. Later I was talking to the guy upstairs, he randomly started to talk about piping and told me I have cheap plastic piping, he likes the copper piping way better. So both of them were telling me the exact opposite thing about piping. It gets worse unfortunately, right before they left one of them said; let's test the water pressure to your house. Normal water pressure to a house is ~70 psi. They said I had about ~115 water pressure to my home which was way too high. After doing this the faucet they tested the water pressure on would not stop dripping. I can't figure what they did to it. Because of what they said about the high water pressure I called a different plumber at my expense that I had more faith in and he told me the two plumbers from plumbline were wrong and it was normal water pressure, just 70 psi. So the moral of the story is that everything the two plumbers told me was wrong, everything they touched ended up broken, and they wanted to destroy drywall for no reason. Best of all I had to pay them from their troubles, it seemed like all the problems they gave me; they should have paid me for even letting them into my home. I would not recommend Plumbline Services at all to anyone. read more

Plumbline is very misleading in their pricing. They quoted an hourly rate, then tacked on huge charges for the work needed. I had a leak in my finished basement ceiling. Once they came, I was told it would be $143.75 to cut the ceiling open and find the leak. It turned out to be a 3/4" copper pipe with a temporary end cap instead of a permanent one. It required the pipe be cut and a permanent cap soldered on. Upon checking his prices, Jeffrey told me that it would be an additional $453.25! I was astounded! He agreed to waive the $143.75 and I agreed to pay the $453.25 because I needed the leak fixed. In all, he was at my house less than an hour and the only supplies needed were a copper pipe end cap and some solder. Very disappointing - I won't use them again. read more

Awesome Job by Plumbline. My electrical power went out on Sunday and my owner put in a call to Plumbline Sunday night. I was concerned that I might have to wait around for hours on Monday before someone came out. Boy, was I wrong. Used this guys off and on for 10 years. One thing you can count on is they are pretty disorganized. And will be premium price. Work is generally decent, but scheduling and getting it right the first time are not their strong points. Don't believe all the 5 Star Reviews on some websites, as Plumbline pays to be on certain websites. If it is not urgent, better off to shop for a smaller shop that is organized and cares about doing good work, and getting your situation resolved and keeping you as a customer. BUYER Beware!!! I used these guys because we moved into a house with a water softener and we liked the deluxe feature of this swamp cooler which drains itself daily and reduces mineral deposit build up. I received a few quotes, but went with Plumbline because I thought they knew what they were doing and offered this self draining swamp cooler. BIG mistake!! They turned on the swamp cooler and flakes of debris started flying out and they just continued to let it run. They said they could have replaced the old ducts, but didn't think to offer it...even though the old one was falling apart as they removed it. They left our wall ripped up and used a non matching outlet plate, so I had to go and buy a new one and paint the wall. After a month of install, our ceiling below the swamp cooler began leaking. We called immediately and had someone come out to take a look and instead of just telling me it was leaking because THEY didn't install the hose correctly, he had me go on the roof to show me. They had an outside contractor come over and fix the ceiling and repaint it and it took a week. If my husband and I didn't work from home at the time, we would have had to take a week of vacation time to let the worker in and out. Plumbline never asked if we worked from home or were inconvenienced in anyway. I also spoke to the manager and he said he would be sending us a gift card....still waiting for it!!! read more

I tried to back out of my driveway to go to an appointment and could not get out because Plumbline had blocked my alley and driveway doing a job for the backyard neighbor. I told them I needed to get out and they said "we pulled a permit". I asked "Why didn't you notify neighbors of this inability to use our alley? ". They replied, "We don't have to and if you have a problem, contact City of Denver". What kind of community relations is that? Where is personal responsibility? I will NEVER use Plumbline and encourage everyone to call other service providers when you need plumbing or sewer service. Then they had the gall to ask me later in the day if I would do them a favor, allow their backhoe in my driveway (and do what knows kind of damage to my driveway) to make their job easier. I said if you hadn't had an attitude with me this morning I might consider it, but not when you had an attitude with me earlier. All I wanted to do was get in and out of my driveway. We had an AC problem, blowing but not cold air, we needed serious help with a pregnant wife in the heat of the summer. They were very busy and could only schedule about a week and a half out. Gave me a quote for $2600, and I told him thanks but no thanks. Two days later, I had another reputable company come look at it for a second opinion, after 30 minutes of work and a simple $200 fix, we had a fully functioning AC and haven't had a problem since.
