I cannot say enough good things about this place! For someone who is lactose intolerant, it can be difficult to find a dessert that really hits the spot. I have found the BEST VEGAN MILKSHAKE OF ALL TIME! I tried the Chocolate (Oatly!) Milkshake and I was really surprised by how rich it was. I got a size small but will have to size up next time! Walked 8 miles around the city today and desperately needed something quick to get + hot to eat. Popped into Whole Foods because I'm a fan of their hot bar stuff, but I saw PLNT burger and decided to give it a try. The toppings that come with the "burgers" are lettuce, onions, tomatoes, pickles, and "cheese". Now, I'm not a vegan or vegetarian by any means-- but this burger hit the spot. It definitely doesn't taste similar to beef (at least to me), but it's still really good and filling. I might've waited too long to eat it because it got a little bit soggy by the time I got home, but I still destroyed it lol. Let me tell y'all how much I love PLNT Burger! I am truly addicted. Everything is made to order. I usually get the double cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and a shake. These burgers are the closest you'll get to an actual non vegan burger. The way the vegan cheese melts! The sauce! the pickles! Just amazing. I love the sauces that they have for their fries. I usually get the maple mustard. While I only use it on the fries, I imagine it's great on the burger as well. All of their shakes are oat milk based and will fill you up! Whether you're vegan or an omnivore, you will love this place! read more

The shake was the best vegan shake I have had yet and the bloomies were delicious! I liked the burger, but part of the mushroom was so tough I couldn't eat it, which was a bit disappointing and made it a little unappetizing. read more

(Almost) winner winner chickn dinner. Heard some good things about this place and on a day of running about without having eaten since early AM, I decided today was the day to try. Downloaded the app and got a nice little bonus $5 off (actually I don't know how but somehow got 2 $5 off and so this meal cost $2.50!!) so I went for the meal with the standard fries, spicy chickn funguy, and a cardamom drink. The good: I mean, $2.50 to try a place is awesome. Portions are substantial for the food - small fries could easily be for two. They give you a choice of condiment sauces and I picked "bloomies" for no real reason - it was super tasty!! The sauce on the sandwich was also tasty, though I missed it came with cheese. Spicy sandwich has less calories than the regular one as a note. The bad: This is still a hit to your calorie intake for the day and I felt like maybe afterwards, I probably should have just made something at home. The major bummer was that the mushrooms really weren't crispy outside but rather really rubbery and hard to bite through. Super tasty, but texture knocked this down. I was excited about the orange cardamom drink - love cardamom and you don't see it highlighted much. It was super sweet and gave me flashbacks to "orange drink" flavor albeit it with a little spice. I didn't finish it. All in all, a good option if you're looking for alternative fast food and nice you can order easily while you shop. Definitely worth downloading the app to try without spending full freight. Tasty sauces and good concept, just needs some execution tweaking. read more

I was SOOOO happy when they opened in Alexandria. As a vegan, finding quality fast food can be a struggle. Especially so, since I don't drive and most of the good places are in or near DC, leaving me outside the delivery radius. HOWEVER ... though I ordered often during the first six weeks since they opened, I had to contact them several times over missing items. To their credit, they usually try to resolve the matter to the best of their ability. The worst thing? I'm still waiting on a response to (probable) food poisoning from my last order (OVER a month ago). I'm a patient person but I'm failing to understand how they can go 5 WEEKS without sending as much as the canned "we're sorry but we'll be better next time" reply. read more
