I am very happy with the services at this salon. The spa pedicures come with a very long leg massage that is relaxing and skillfully executed. The technicians give you the option of using aromatherapy oils during your manicure or pedicure. I like to bring my own polish, base coat, and top coat. Some salons do not appreciate this but they are courteous and use my tools. Additionally, I have acrylic tips. I haven't found many salons in New York that do acrylic nail service well. These ladies are pros, I have been pleased with each acrylic service. The only negative is that the salons does not accept tips on cards and they charge extra for quick dry top coat. had a subpar experience here. it's a little pricey for what you get. $42.50 for a gel manicure, and they didn't even properly soak our hands. they just spray some kind of antibacterial spray a lot and use acetone before nipping the skin. i do like that they let you pick which essential oil smell goes into your lotion though. they're also adamant about tipping in cash. they asked each of us to make sure we would as we were paying. read more

This place has the best pedicures I have EVER had. This was literally the BEST pedicure I have had in my life!! (Must get Green Tea Pedicure, I have NOT tried their standard pedicure) If you are the type of person who gets annoyed when a pedicurist is not thorough enough on your feet, you will LOVE this place because they have the MOST THOROUGH pedicures in the world. You must ask for the Green Tea Pedicure to get this level of detail and perfection. But BELIEVE me, it is worth it. I feel like I had an operation to make my feet look better, because they just sculpted every toe to absolute perfection. And there was a scrubbing portion and a massaging portion of the treatment, followed by essential oils, and then finally, the nail polish job was perfect!! This is your average nail salon - nothing special but nothing terrible. $16 for a regular manicure ($15 then $1 for tax). I wasn't convinced that they sterilize the tools they use so if that's an issue for you, don't come here. I'm also not sure they have quick dry drops here--they didn't offer them at least. Let me preface this with you are going to spend a little more here than you will at other nail salons in the area. That being said, Nail Bella is wonderful! Being a man, I have a different experience than the general clientele of nail salons. A lot of times at nail salons, I receive bare minimum, uneven work because I suppose they think I won't notice. NOT AT NAIL BELLA. Neema is AMAZING. Meticulous attention to detail. I also noticed that the other nail technicians were scrubbing their tools clean when they weren't working with clients. I don't mind spending $10 more here for their quality than the other local salons who have, for instance, sliced open my cuticle and didn't apologize. I am looking forward to going back in two weeks. This is my go-to nail salon in Hell's Kitchen! The nail techs there are so friendly and very thorough with their work. I usually get a gel manicure and it lasts for ages. Their spa pedicures are also so relaxing, especially if you get the hot stones as part of the massage! I've been there several times and will definitely go again. read more

Sorry, but this place really delivers a substandard mani/pedi. I came in with my own polish -- Essie Gel Couture -- and it normally lasts well over a week without a single flaw. Two days later and it was already coming off my fingers. Polish over my cuticles and chipping from the cuticles up. Even on my thumbs. Wear -- not chipping, but wear -- on the index fingers; it's pulling back from the top of the nail already, as if it were a week old. Even with regular polish this is a bad manicure, but with this polish, it's a really bad manicure. Pedicure? Polish up over cuticles, dry skin not removed, and my big toenails were uneven -- I caught that just before she polished them. Just a quick, slapdash job. $47 for this, nothing special added, making it a total rip off (even for Manhattan). read more

This is the most wonderful manicure destination in Manhattan. Conveniently located for out of town visitors. Owned and operated by Nana for more than 20 years. Clean, comfortable, friendly atmosphere. The work was done beautifully and expeditiously. You are missing out if you don't try it. My "weekly" manicure has already lasted close to three weeks. I read the good reviews and I decided to try this new place close to my office. -waxing room was dirty and so tiny that 2 people can't stand at the same time. there was not place for my bags which had to lay on the dirty floor. I decided to do full legs wax. At one point the lady put the hot wax on my ass without asking me and later she told me that was extra $15! - after she cleaned my legs with a hot towel and she said she was done I still had white powder and sticky wax on my ass! The job was not done properly ether. - when she exit the room I was just with underwear and people doing pedicure could see me. there is no privacy. - when I walked out I realized some waxing paper laying on the floor was attached to my shoes and besides that shouldn't happen no one told me ether after waljong up and down their salon. - I paid $75. totally overprice for the service. And the lady also complained because I didn't leave enogh tip. She is liked i did. I don't mind the price if the service is excellent which wasn't. - Further I personally hate when they give you fake compliments with fake smile. - I forgot to say that my upper t-shirt was full of white baby powder. She said it was ok and at the end she tried to remove it slapping a wet towel on my body. This is how you treat your costumers?? Here are the deets: - I went in on a weekday afternoon around 1:30 and it was totally empty, so I was able to sit down right away for a manicure ($12.60). - Upsell, upsell, upsell! Boy, are these guys pushy. They insisted I get a gel manicure at least three times, which was a bit grating, considering I nicely said "no thanks" the first time. Then at the end, they pushed a strengthening coat of clear nail polish, as well as a coat of QuickDry polish, and when I politely said "thanks but no thanks" - they looked incredulous. Can't a girl just get a regular manicure without all the bells and whistles? - My manicurist cut three different fingers with the cuticle cutters (three!). My thumb wouldn't stop bleeding for a little while. She was attentive, and made sure to clean me up, but ouch! - The tools didn't look 100% sanitary.... Can't say for sure, but something to be cautious of. - Despite accepting credit cards, the woman told me she wanted cash. I explained that even though I had cash, I'd much prefer to use my card (and so the dance went...). She didn't look like she was gonna budge, so I just paid cash (not a huge deal), but if you say you accept credit cards, then accept them! - The polish job was pretty good. Pretty OK selection of Essie and OPI. And GEL! DON'T FORGET THE GEL! I'm probably going to try and find a different salon before choosing to come back here... read more

Had a great experience with Nail Bella. My friend and I were looking for a pedicure place in Hell's Kitchen on a rainy day that didn't have a wait, and we found this on Yelp and were very impressed. Upon entering everyone was very friendly and sat us in the back. It's a small place with only about 5 pedicure chairs and four tables where you could get a manicure. We noticed how hot is was in the room, and they immediately opened the door for us so we could get some air. Great service, and great recommendations. The only issue I have is the pricing, which is a little steep for the treatment that you get, but the outcome definitely speaks for itself. We both got the green tea spa pedicure (because why not), and it was very refreshing. Great foot massages, and honestly great chair massage too! The employee who was helping me out was so nice in making sure that my nails didn't chip (because I really don't do this often). They were a little weird about putting the tip on the credit card, which I didn't like that much especially since my friend didn't have cash, but if I ever get a pedicure again I'll definitely be coming back here. read more

It was my first and would be the last visit to Nail Bella. Sorry -- but it was disappointing. I went there on a Friday to have a manicure. While I appreciate all the ladies being nice to me, but the quality of my nail specialist was poor. She didn't clean the cuticles entirely, and didn't scrape the dead skin cells around my nails thoroughly. After two days, my nail polish started to peel on the outside and when I took a closer look I noticed she didn't coat my nails entirely. The friendly Korean ladies were very helpful and polite when we walked in. They had us seated immediately and took care of us. They had a nice selection of colors and nothing went wrong. We got the regular pedicures ($23 before tax) and everything was as expected. They scrubbed our feet, and massaged it with oil, trimmed and painted our toes. I give this place three stars, but barely. Okay place, nothing special. They basically just painted my nails and that was it. There was nothing special about the manicure. They pushed gel and other products on me the moment I walked it (and I can't stand that) so that turned me off pretty early. Manicure is $12 (which is a lot in my opinion especially for the job they did) and pedicure is $23 I think. This place goes above and beyond! I live down the street so this has become my new go-to and every time I go I am consistently impressed. Every standard manicure I've gotten has lasted a full week, and the last two times I've gotten a gel manicure it has lasted the promised two weeks (unlike the places where after a week it starts to chip). Yesterday I went in for a much needed pedicure and caved on the callus remover up-charge, it was beyond worth it. I'm horrified; my feet were so bad she went over them twice (used the callus remover, let them soak more, and then another round), all without my asking. I find myself in New York on a business trip near Times Square and desperately needed a manicure. Not wanting to spend an arm and a leg at an overpriced hotel spa, I turned to Yelp to guide me, and spotted this unrated gem. It had great pictures , the website to check out their services and decided I would just go for it. Taking one for you, Yelpers! When I arrived I was pleasantly surprised the place looked just as beautiful as the pictures. I went for their $12 manicure and picked a bright orchid color out of their HUGE selection of OPI (and various other brands) shades. Nana did a wonderful (and quick!) job, and once I was done, got to dry my nails at one of the CUTEST drying stations I've ever seen. Is it the nicest interior? Certainly not. But for a $10 eyebrow wax that looked much nicer than the shape I've gotten at higher end salons, I'll take it. They ask if you want milk honey or regular, supposedly the milk honey is a little gentler and has an additional charge. Because I was being cheap, I went with regular. When she paused halfway through the wax and said "this hurts, huh?" I wondered if she was trying to make it more painful to prove I should make the milk investment next time. Agree with some of the people here talking about the major up-sell that goes on in this place. It's what makes me not want to come back. I like a place where I can go to the same person every time, and here one person does pedi, and another mani, and never the same combo twice. I HATE being pushed for spa pedicure, spa manicure, gel manicure, massage, nail hardener, quick dry, etc etc etc. really, don't even talk to me, just give me a good enjoyable manicure pedicure without making me feel like a dope for not getting super quick dry nail hardening gel spray, or whatever........ I walked in and asked if they had time for a fill at 7:55pm. The sweet lady doing someone else's nails said yes and to take a seat. 5 minutes later an older women comes from the back and yells at me that they're closed. I told her I understood, but I asked if they had time and the other nail tech said yes, that's why I sat down to wait for my turn. She yells "We close at 8!!!" And starts speaking a different language to the other lady and sounded upset. I stood up and said "don't worry about it. I'll leave." And walked out as she said nothing.
