To owners Marc and Alan Howard: Why make a customer jump through hoops repeatedly and get bounced around between New Leaf service contracts and LG on a known lemon instead of advocating for LG or New Leaf to replace the unit?? The ice maker alone has been replaced several times but apparently, they are considering all the ice maker replacements as one, and now again the ice maker, in addition to compressor, Dryer Assembly, and door stopper. I NEVER had this problem with PC Richard, they always answer their phone and advocate for their customers. I purchased an LG refrigerator with a total cost of $3,314,15 including 5-year service contract, installation, everything but Plesser's can't dedicate someone to answer the phone???? Since we purchased this unit, the hardest part was getting someone at Plesser's to answer the phone! Every time this LG refrigerator breaks it is a complete hassle. I call repeatedly call but nobody answers the phone. I left messages but only one person returned my call, thank you to Kate, but unfortunately, I can't get back in touch with her. This LG refrigerator that has REPEATEDLY required service and parts and Plesser's, LG, or New Leaf needs to just replace this unit. I did some research, and I found that LG is well aware of the problem and even has a class action lawsuit against them for these units. I am getting the run around from the company New Leaf that handles the service contract. I have proof I emailed them the proof of purchase they requested and all documentation necessary, including pictures of the model number and serial number. Today I got another email from New Leaf again requesting proof of purchase that I already sent, again I sent it and forwarded them the original email including proof of purchase showing the 5-year warranty and cost of unit, installation and everything totaling over $3,314.15 Email is a form of documentation legally accepted in a court of law. Every time it breaks, we have to take a day off from work for the LG trained tech to come diagnose the problem AND then take another day off work for LG trained tech to come back and install the parts. We have lost more days of work than what this unit cost! Luckily, I purchased the 5-year contract because this unit is a know LEMON. The latest repair breakdown: Dryer assembly. $58.43 Compressor $318.76 Craft ice maker $170.11 Stopper door $4.33 Labor. $424. From start to finish the Plessers staff proved in action a memorable respectful engagement. I bought a whirlpool refrigerator sight unseen based on a year old consumer reports review. Emily DiGiovanna pointed me to the upgraded model. She is an excellent salesperson. There was some frustration with delivery and Plessers stepped up to cover the cost of the confusion. The interior of the fridge is huge. As promised the interior is the upgraded version. The doors close with a push and air circulation is premium. Yes other brands have some upgrades and drawer perks and icemaker fanfare but the basic fridges made by whirlpool are the long haul designs. There were complaints about the quality of the bins I read. Not! The interior is top notch. Then about the crisper. Because the fridge is designed with multi level fan circulation the drawers have open designs. I got the no frills whirlpool cause I know simple designs matter. I bought a second hand whirlpool the manufacture date is 2006. I thought it gave up. For whatever reason the defrost started working again. I considered returning my purchase but I would owe restocking and shipping both ways. In the end my experience with Pleasers and a week into using the fridge is nothing but class act. I recognize why it is consumer reports number one recommendation. And my next appliance will be purchased through Plessers. The second time in a week Plesser's came to our rescue! This time it was our KitchenAid refrigerator (14 yrs old) that died suddenly. I called Eugene at Plesser's and within 24 hours, I had a brand new refrigerator sitting in my kitchen! The delivery team was wonderful and very professional. They knew just what they were doing and set up the inside with all the shelves and storage drawers, etc., and attached the water line for the ice maker and drinking water. The stores I was planning to purchase from were out of stock or couldn't deliver in time so I took a chance with Plesser's. Best thing I could have done. My range was priced insanely well due to the Black Friday sale. The delivery process was so easy. They called and we planned for a Friday install which was the day before I was hosting 12 people. After trying to call customer support (no answer in business hours) and the delivery people calling the manger ... they changed their position and offered install. However ... they were not "Licensed" to install gas appliances. What a risk??!? I finally contacted customer services who was RUDE and hateful and offered to remove $400 install fee for me to keep the range. WHAT? NO way. Finally customer service HUNG up after yelling "I am coordinating with the delivery company and I Will call you back" CLICK (Hung up). A bit later they packed up the range on the truck and drove off.
