I was very pleased with Tanyel. I was so pleased with her performance and personality, that I called the shop to advise how my hair was still flowing after taking my Hijab off. I spent so much time reading through their website and Facebook page. The booking process was super simple and done online and I received confirmation texts, emails and push notifications from the Square Go App. Upon arrival, the entrance/waiting area is decorated so well. I loved the layout and design of place. The receptionist asked if I would like anything to drink while I waited. I love the Cafe'. After my appointment ended. I was looking for a salon near my hotel for a last-minute updo appointment, and Pleij was conveniently located across the street from the hotel. Thankfully they were able to fit me in despite a busy schedule that Saturday. Charlie did an outstanding job on my fine, tough-to-style hair. I was sure that the rain and humidity would ruin whatever hairstyle they did, but Charlie reassured me it would be just fine. He was more than correct! The elegant updo stayed perfectly in place from the early afternoon until the end of the night. I received so many compliments on it, too! Tiche has completely transformed my hair. I have been a client of hers for 10+ years and despite moving out of state, will continue to travel to see her. She has completely restored my hair and taught me how to care for and appreciate my curls. She always recommends the best products for your hair type/concerns and always provides excellent service. I recommend her to everyone I know! The salon itself is stunning. They offer hair, skin, nail and massage services, and also have a cafe. I am not an extremely health conscious person, but the healthy options they have at the salon genuinely made me consider going vegan. I had one of their granola bars and was actually shocked at how it could be so good and also healthy. Pleij offers a wide selection of hair care products in the front of the salon, with options available for every hair type. Very beautiful, quiet and peaceful salon and spa in Polaris. I've actually come a few times for dip mani, regular pedi and eyelash lift. All services I have had have been performed by Ena, and she is absolutely wonderful and does the best dip manicure I have ever had. She is very high in demand, so book quickly if you're thinking about coming in! They use the SquareUp site/app where you can choose your service and professional. Buyer beware. Similar to another reviewer who attempted to order a product online, I ordered a specialty hair product and received an email payment confirmation and receipt. However, 3 weeks later I still hadn't received the order despite multiple calls, having someone take down all my info, and promises of a call back regarding my order. In one of the calls, the other person on the line identified herself as the owner and promised me someone would indeed call about my order. Sure enough, no one called, just like before. In finding that another reviewer had a similar problem, it seems this business either has a serious problem fulfilling orders, or more likely, appears to have no issue with not fulfilling orders, yet still taking payment for it - Also known as a scam. I have since called my credit card company to dispute the charge. The agent at the cc company said there's no reason it should take this long to receive a shipment and as such, they were more than happy to start the dispute process on my behalf. I had been looking around for a good hair stylist after my previous hair stylist moved to California and another stylist who did my hair color changed the salon and her price is just no longer affordable or even reasonable with her great hair coloring skills. After did my research online, I found Pleij and went to different portfolios, all their hair stylists have beautiful portfolio on social media. I went with Stormie who is wonderful. I told her what I was looking to do with my hair, she listened, and she got it done beautifully. Dimensions, fun, but not too much. Salon has nice and calm environment which I like, oh, and there are massage chairs at shampoo station where I didn't mine to be while waiting for toner to work. Nice people. If I could I would give this place a 0 star. I've been working w my nail artist for over 5 years as she moved to this place I moved with her. Knowing her busy schedule I called to make an appointment one month ahead for a Saturday. After one month and them texting me to confirm I go there and they send me to someone else. ( if it wasn't for my important event I would've left immediately). First I asked the owner why my appointment was moved to a different person and they said I must've given the wrong name ( their name were not even close) and trying to pin it on me. While I've been working with my nail tech for years. Then they said someone must've changed it and not taking responsibility. Long story short I got my nails done w the person I didn't want to get them done with who was just a nail tech and I was over charged cause for nail Extentions I never get charged that much. Not to mention that since they saw I was clearly unhappy a couple of ladies who worked there said" OMG it looks so good" and telling the artis "I need you to do my nails next these look great" and THEY DID NOT LOOK GREAT. I left and second day my nail broke I tried to call them and no one picks the phone up as if they save numbers and know which number not to pick up. I made the mistake of ordering an expensive Dyson hairdryer from Pleij (over $400). When it did not arrive after many weeks I contacted them and was told that it had been shipped 6 weeks earlier. My requests for tracking information were met with silence--no response at all. Most vendors give excellent tracking information telling purchasers when their item shipped, that it is in transit, and even that it has been delivered. Pleij does not, nor does it respond to inquiries when an item has gone missing. I do not even know which shipper to contact myself, nor have I been given the information that the shipper would need to know to track its route for such an inquiry. Perhaps they forgot to fill the order and are now embarrassed to have pocketed the hefty price without sending it. We will never know but the bottom line is: do not purchase goods from this vendor. read more

This salon is by far the best salon and spa I have been to anywhere.Jacquie colored and cut my hair.She completely transformed the color of my hair and it looks exactly like the pictures I showed her only better.It was an intricate process and I have long, thick hair and throughout the entire process she was professional and extremely kind.She gave me the best hair cut I have ever gotten and to say I'm pleased would be a huge understatement.She is quite frankly an amazing stylist and lovely person whose only concern was my happiness and comfort. This is a beautiful, full service salon and even though this was my first visit, everyone treated me as though I was a long time valued customer.I am disabled so I really appreciated how safe I felt while I was there.The salon is beautifully designed and easy to get around in a wheelchair as well as immaculate. This place is amazing! I have come here for manicures, pedicures, getting my hair colored, cut and every time is a great experience. The manicure and pedicure room is so relaxing and not like the typical salon where you feel like they are rushing you out the door. The technician really took her time during the massage portion and she made sure that my nails looked perfect. My hands and feet were so soft it felt like I was walking on clouds when she was finished. I currently live in Chicago but my family lives in Columbus so every time I am in town I make an appointment to get my hair colored and cut by Tiche. She is that amazing! She is so great at coloring hair and making it look so natural without harming my hair. After she colors my hair I am moved to the washing stations. We all know that the head massages while they are shampooing your hair are the best part when getting your hair done, right? Well at Pleij you not only get the head massage but the chairs also recline and they give you a full body massage at the same time. I booked a last-minute color correction with Jacquie. I needed a miracle! The salon I was going to was covering my grays too dark and attempting to lighten up with awful techniques. The salon/spa was very inviting and friendly. I was offered a beverage while waiting. Jacquie took me right back and began getting to know me a little and inquiring about my hair journey, while combing through and assessing the current state and damage of my hair. She then thoroughly discussed her plan. It took a while, about four hours, but it was worth it. While processing she took me on a tour of the salon/spa and told me what other services they provide. I was extremely impressed, not only with her, but with the beautifully clean space and environmentally friendly, vegan-based products (minus a couple w/beeswax).
