I was debating between one and two stars. I am so unhappy with how my hair color turned out. It makes me so sad I paid over $170.00 and am totally disappointed. I understand that if I show a stylist a picture and I am trying to achieve that look...and it's not possible...tell me. Don't say you can achieve that look and then give me color that is not even close to what I was inquiring about. Balayage? Don't think so. I can't even describe what color(s) my hair is now. Ugh. After having my hair color completely ruined by "the best salon in town" i was leery about having anyone else touch my hair but I really needed it fixed. I live close to the salon so i decided to see what they could do. Erika spent a great deal of time talking to me about what I wanted and how she could get my hair back to a color found in nature. She was very clear about what she could and could not do and how long it would take to get my hair back to where I want it to be. I'm kicking myself for not going in sooner. The salon is beautiful, much bigger than it looks from the street. It's very clean, the staff is very professional and the pricing is very competitive. Definitely not paying NY prices for Columbus OH! Another great thing, I didn't feel pressured to buy a ton of products. I used Studio Fovero for wedding day hair and makeup for myself, mothers of the bride and groom, and bridesmaids. In the interest of full disclosure, my sister-in-law works at SF, but even if she didn't I would give them the full five star rating. I had a hair and makeup trial which ended up reflecting my actual "day of" look very well. The stylists and makeup artists are all incredibly friendly and really listen to what their clients are trying to achieve. I felt gorgeous on my wedding day and my hairstyle and makeup lasted all night. I love looking back at the photos. I've never seen my mom look more beautiful and the rest of the ladies were radiant as well. SF was also very accommodating in letting us bring in snacks and mimosas to enjoy while getting pampered. read more

Tried years ago and came back! A good friend of mine ( with beautiful, flowing locks) referred me to Megann Mounts, Designer-aka artisan of color. Not only does Megann have an upbeat personality, she's honest and skilled with what she does. I did not get a cut, just a partial weave. Something to even things out and welcome my strands to autumn. She did just that. The pic's from the following weekend's party get a thumbs up. The partial highlight is priced at $60. If you can find it cheaper, don't bother. She's worth every penny. At Studio Fovero, they seem to work well together. It's a complementary team. The clients' best interest is the first priority. read more

I found them through a friend who moved to Miami last year and STILL flies up to Columbus to get her hair done by the lovely and very talented Megan. Anyway--it's a beautiful salon, the fine folks who work there are very nice, and the cuts and colors that Megan has given me over the past year or so have all been great. I'm not the most challenging client--I'm usually just looking for some natural looking highlights and a trim (maybe some long bangs)--but every time I walk out of there I feel like a million bucks. I stumbled upon this place in 2008 after a breakup and I desperately needed highlights ala Elle Woods and Studio Fovero had an opening. 5 years later, I have had fabulous hair and fabulous Brazilians, and even though I've moved to Philadelphia a year ago, I have still made a trek to Studio Fovero twice, and I swear I keep my eye on flight deals and have calculated the cost/benefit of flying back to Columbus to get what I need done. I have had my hair done by Diana for 6 years and Brazillians by both Lizzie and Jess. Lizzie and Jess -- either one you can't go wrong. The experience is quick, painless, and both of them are so bubbly and welcoming and friendly the time passes by before you know it, which is a lot to say if you've ever had this done. Diana has been my hair guru, muse and therapist all in one. I've gone super blonde to super dark brown to red and she's made me look fabulous and natural all of the same time. She's given me front bangs, side bangs, and helped me transition that awkward period when I wanted no bangs at all. She always makes me look fabulous and I swear I've been to three hairdressers in one year in Philadelphia and no one has come close to her hair magic. For whatever the flight cost, she's worth it. There is no place like home and I think of Studio Fovero as my second home. You cannot go wrong with any person here for any service. I'm just jealous that if you're reading this, you're probably hundreds of miles closer than me. read more

This is a review a loooong time coming. I was introduced to Studio Fovero by my roommate, Kait Gunn, when she started working there. So far, I've been there for a Brazilian, eyebrow wax, lip, and hair cut and every experience was amazing. The place is very clean and cool. They play great, current music (no awful pop stuff) and it just feels like you are walking into a friends place. They offer coffee and water while you wait. They use all bumble and bumble products for hair and dermalogica for skin. The salon is downstairs, while the spa is upstairs. The location is amazing, and although it is street parking I have never had difficulty. Kait will make every waxing process as painless as possible without sacrificing quality or results. Even if she wasn't my friend, I would definitely see her for any waxing, especially my Brazilian. (I've had a couple bad experiences) She makes you feel at ease and comfortable (very important when dealing with that area) and I've always had great results. She definitely takes the time and works with you on what you want. I also just got my hair cut today by Brandon and he really got what I wanted. I've moved from hair stylist to stylist for years because no one has understood my vision or made me confident that they know what to do. I brought some pictures in and he asked questions to help me feel comfortable. As soon as he got to work, I knew I would like the result. He definitely got the layers I wanted and helped revive some body into my heavy locks. After all my visits, I think it is safe to say that I am a Studio Fovero girl! What a great hair salon!! First of, I absolutely LOVE the fact that they are on mind body. You can check hair dressers' availabilities and make an appointment directly on the app. Secondly, I went in there with my boyfriend, he had an appointment with Maria, and I love his hair cut. I used to go to this salon for years. But now, due to the staff's misconduct, I have had to leave. Several times I was overcharged and my appointment changed without my notice. They had my information in the system wrong for most of my patronage; and instead of trying to fix it kept blaming their egregious actions on that or me. I used to recommend this place to everyone. Now, I warn people from it. Their best stylists have gone and their office staff is deplorable. Their receptionist's are not able to handle situations professionally and choose to argue on the phone in front of clients at the salon. When they do escalate the situation, Debbie the owner, waits for the better part of a week before handling the situation and does so through email. I liked my stylist and the work they did. At this juncture, I'd rather pay more knowing I'll get a professional atmosphere without a revolving staff than any discounted rate I was offered. read more

I booked my first appointment here with Ciarra over a year ago on a whim, and have been absolutely in love with this salon ever since. The salon itself is upscale, clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is always fun and relaxed and everyone is upbeat and friendly. My hair guru, Ciarra is literally the best. I've never been happier with my hair and never received more compliments since I've been seeing her. My other magician at the salon is Jessica. She's the only person I have ever trusted my brows to, and she gets them perfect every single time. She's also the only person I've trusted to do my makeup for special occasions and actually had it turn out even better than I hoped. I signed up for a Bridal hair and makeup package for myself with Brandon and the makeup artist at Studio Fovero 6 months prior to my wedding based off of good reviews from the knot. I did not know Brandon before my trial with him because my wedding was a six hour drive from where I currently live. There were several things about my experience with him that I did not like. Firstly, I didn't exactly know what I wanted when I went in for my hair trial, and when I went in I thought we could have a discussion with him about what would look best on me based off of the style I was going for. He also said that the look would really only be a "sketch" of the style I would have on my wedding day. I ended up walking out with a pretty 'do, but it ended up being a little more modern than I wanted... So I ended up calling the studio and asking them if I could come in for another trial. When I came in for a second time, Brandon expressed that I had already had my trial and this time I would have to pay for an additional trial. I was fine with this considering it was extra work. I showed him the picture that I wanted: a soft vintage finger wave ala Madonna in Evita. He said that he was absolutely sure that he could do it. Personally, it was a painful experience sitting in that chair for 2 and 1/2 hours. He began by gel setting the hair, and then tried numerous times to get a soft wave. He finally got one side of the 'do... the other side was a flaky mess. I ended up paying for 1/2 of an updo! I was furious! The thing that really upset me about this experience was that from the beginning he was plain sassy, and at the end, when giving up on the 'do, he didn't even say he'd practice before the wedding or reassure me at all. It was terrible. I obviously cancelled the entire package and went to Michael Matteson at 1400 Downtown who did the beautiful vintage 'do I wanted in 45 mins. The other thing I wanted to mention was that Brandon cut a member of my family's hair the week before the wedding, and the cut was uneven and messy. read more

I used Studio Fovero for my Wedding Day (Hair Only; Has Make Up Available). I was so excited to go have my trial because I have heard nothing but great reviews from other Brides! I had an easy experience working through e-mail with the owner (Debbie) on the details of the date, time, how my girls were getting their hair done, etc. As I set up my trial, I let the person over the phone know that I would be wearing my hair down/curled. They said no problem, then booked me with someone that would be available the day of my wedding. I arrived on a Sunday for my hair trial. Once I walked in I was welcomed and was told I would be helped shortly. A woman walked up to me within five minutes, introduced herself and led me to my chair. Once I sat down, of course she asked me what I was interested in having done. I told her I wanted my hair down and in curls and she just automatically shut down. If felt that she was so turned off by the fact that I wasted her time by coming in for a trial for a down do. I was asked questions about veil, etc. and once answered, I received a huff or puff of frustration. She told me there was nothing that needed to be done for this and we would handle it that day. What?? Don't you think one would take a Bride into more consideration for one of the biggest/most important days of their lives? She did not charge me for the trial and just sent me on my way until the day of the wedding leaving me out to dry. 3 1/2 weeks later... my wedding day arrives. The contract that the Bride signs states that you must be there on time, if not... you are charged a late fee. Well... we arrived on time, but the person doing my hair was 20 minutes late! Once she arrived she said came out and said who's the bride? I raised my hand and she then proceeds to say.. oh, okay, who are you? Have we Met? Oh. My. Gosh... I thought I was going to have a breakdown first thing on my wedding day. Once she had me sit down, she began to laugh and said, wow, that probably sounded really bad and just kept laughing it off. It was probably the most awkward hair experience I have ever had in my life. Long and Behold... this woman I have been working with from Trial to End... was the OWNER!!! Unfortunately, I paid $87.00 for a down do and a disappointment. My Hair Style was mediocre; which I think could have been perfect if something was done at the trial. As much as I'd love to return because I enjoyed everyone else's presence and Studio Fovero is about 2 minutes from my house. I can not return after the careless, awkward and un-attentive experience I had with the Owner. read more

The life of my hair has absolutely changed since I started going to SF to see Meghann. She is brilliant and always fixes whatever issue I'm having with my style no matter what it is. I also recently started getting spray tans here because they pretty much cost the same everywhere and I look like a freakin' sun goddess when I leave from an appointment. P.S. Apparently the tanning stuff is anti-aging and it's has NEVER streaked for me. Not to say it won't for you and that it doesn't go away after like 7 days, but still. After reading other rave reviews for Lizzie I decided to give Fovero a try. I definitely was not disappointed! She is the Brazilian Queen and puts you totally at ease. Yea, the price is kinda steep, but its comparable to other salons in the area. its a specialty service and well worth the cost for the expertise, friendly staff and relaxing setting. As a new customer, I loved little goodie bag with *tons* of sample products. First of all I really liked my stylist and she seemed to know what she was doing... I had my hair dyed darker and liked the color while it lasted. After the first wash it was noticeably lighter and now about 4 washes later I'm basically back to blonde but it's kind of weirdly tinted green now lol. I watched some Youtube videos and the stylists always say to put a filler color like red before a darker color when the hair is blonde or this can happen. If I pay $170 I would hope the color would stick to my hair a bit better! :( Might look into a refund since I don't really want to go back in to put more dye on top of it... Oh well read more

I've been going to Fovero for over a year now and I absolutely love this place! Ciarra does my hair and is an absolute magician. I am fortunate to have very thick, wavy hair and Ciarra is able to give me a perfect cut and style even when I don't really know the exact look that I want. She has such a positive spirit that I get excited to see her every time I schedule a cut and always leave feeling confident and ready for a night out! I've also had nails done by both Jess and Patty and they are great! Forewarning to newcomers, at first this salon might feel like everyone else knows each other. Guess what? They do! Great location, nice interior, though a bit too crowded and loud. I waited the briefest of an instant before Erica (Erika? forgive my bad memory but I'll refer to her as Erica here), the friendly and earnest stylist who cut my hair, showed up and whisked me off to her station. Erica is nice, I enjoyed our conversation -- or what I could make out over the din of the noisy spot. I found Erica very accommodating to my requests and liked my cut when I walked out of the salon -- I liked it enough to recommend two other friends try it out. But, as days passed, I found locks of uneven lengths in what was supposed to be a sleek bob. I admit that when I saw the uneven strands, I recalled that in the midst of the cut, I marveled at how much more quickly Erica cut my hair than most other stylists, who expend no small amount of time refining the cut. So my general assessment: nice stylist, fun to talk to, ok cut, cute courtesy package of samples of hair products, friendly staff, noisy salon but for all that, I didn't think it worth the $55 I shelled out. I'm new to Columbus, though, and so am not able to give a good sense of how this salon experience compares with others in town. And, judging from the other reviews, it's a well regarded place, so maybe I should go back and give it one more try? read more

A year ago, I was looking to make a change in my hair and I was a new resident of Columbus. My friend had recommended me her hair stylist, Maria, to do her hair and so I went in for a consultation and then made the appointment to go platinum (I was previously a blonde that had highlights). Since the first appointment, the people of Studio Fovero have been nothing but so nice and accommodating. Really great pricing and love the overall vibe of the salon. Plenty of parking as well. Maria has been my first consistent hair stylist EVER and I never want to move from Columbus in fear I wouldn't have someone like her to do my hair. Every time I come in, she always brings what I want to do to my hair to life. Since she has worked her magic, I get stopped on the street and get compliments on my hair. I recommend them (and Maria) to everyone who expresses they are looking for a hair stylist change up! You will NOT be sorry :) read more

I come here regularly for nails and waxing with Jess. Both she and Patti do a great job and are so much fun. Their gel manicures are well priced and usually last at least two weeks. I tried several salons when I moved to Columbus and after leaving one place in tears, I thought I might never find a place I liked. I tried Studio Fovero out of convenience (within walking distance of my house) and immediately regretted not going there first. The salon itself is very nice, everyone is friendly, and they take care of you, like a spa. Katie was my hairstylist and I trusted her to do her thing and always make my hair look fantastic. I always looked forward to my haircuts because I knew I'd look and feel great and that I'd have a fun time while there! (I'm speaking in past tense because I have since moved away...and am considering coming back to Cbus just for a haircut with Katie). I also had a few mani/pedis there over the years, all of which were fabulous. The polish always lasted longer than expected and each of the nail technicians did a careful and detailed job. Personally I think the prices are reasonable, but I should disclose that I am from the East Coast so everything in Ohio seemed reasonable to me. But the price of the haircut was definitely worth the quality! read more
