I was randomly assigned a hairstylist, Minnie, and it was like the stars in the universe aligned because we clicked right away. She asked me all about my hair and what I was looking for. I'm a wing it type of person but I did have some things in mind. I ended up getting a trim with some wisby longish bangs and she was able to keep my length which was awesome. At the end she mentioned the different products she used in my hair and sent me home with a "care card" with recommendations on when to return and who else to see if she wasn't in. I love M'Lou. I have had her do my hair for over 15 years! She is so sweet and really knows what she is doing. Very soft spoken and caring about what the client wants. I have never heard her be rude to a client. She is always very patient. She has great business ethics and does her very best to try to understand what the client wants and expects. She does take phone calls because it is usually a customer calling to make an appointment. I don't mind because that is part of the business - don't answer the phone - no business. She is in partnership with her husband who also does hair. She sometimes has to call him if a client wants to schedule with him. The new Salon is great! Very eclectic and interesting to just walk around and look at the goodies and pictures. I enjoy my appointments! You should give Strut the Salon a try. read more

Before going to Strut, I was never really happy with my hair cuts. I have difficult hair; it's fine and super straight with a lot of cowlicks. My last visit was fantastic. I came in feeling down because I just hadn't found a style that really works for my hair that looks professional, and feels like me. I told Josh and he took it from there. He followed the natural movement of my "whirl", decided highlights would be a great way to add depth and texture, and within an hour I had the most excellent, professional hair style I've ever had. Not only was the cut great, he "painted in" the highlights masterfully. I felt so excited and renewed! Josh is superb at working with difficult hair. I highly recommend Strut. Josh and M'Lou are AMAZING!!! M'Lou has been cutting my hair for over 7 years and she always does a great job. She and Josh are able to handle every type of hair and can work magic! I have short straight fine hair and M'Lou consistently give me a cut that match my style, face shape, and vision. I know M'Lou will give me the cut I see in my mind's eye. I have always been a fan of M'lou and Josh. Primarily, M'lou cuts my hair, and she does a great job with it! M'lou is very intelligent when it comes to hair. Bring your questions there and she and Josh will be more than delighted to share their knowledge with you. M'lou also is very social, so don't worry about trying to stay awake while you're getting your hair cut. Love this salon! I had an awesome experience this past Friday. I told M'Lou I wanted some highlights and a trim, but the rest was up to her! I loved the cut, loved the color, everything! I ended up getting my eyebrows waxed by M'Lou as well and a manicure and pedicure from Linsey. I would highly recommend both of them. The ambiance of the salon is great!
